from LCCT going to KL Sentral, I've read that:

1. pwede sumakay via KLIA Transit which includes a bus and train ride going to KL Sentral. so from LCCT, sakay ng bus then it will take you to Salak Tinggi station, going to KL Sentral. I've read din na pag bumili ng ticket, dalawa ibibigay, isa for the bus and isa for the train (but both rides is under KLIA Transit pa rin).

2. from LCCT, can take a bus / shuttle to KLIA, then from KLIA take KLIA Ekspres going to KL Sentral.

aling option ba mas ok? option 1 or 2? and magkaiba yung KLIA Ekspres sa KLIA Transit, right? sa pagkakaintindi ko, KLIA Ekspres is nonstop train from KLIA to KL Sentral while KLIA Transit ay magsstop sa 3 stations ata.

Pareho sis puedeng option. pero kung ako sau mas ok na yung from LCCT mag bus ka na lang diretso na yun at mabilis naman ang bus kc mga 8 pm na kami sumakay from LCCT to KL Sentral di namin namalayan nandon na kami.  Mas nakita ko yung Bus  for salak tinggi to KL Sentral kasi kasama din ng mga bus na papuntang KL Sental di ko napansin yung shuttle for KLIA.

kung wala kang dala masyado sis puede yung option 1 and 2 mo para mas adventure pero kung may dala kang mga baggage plus bata ok na siguro yung mag bus ka from LCCT to KL sentral kasi pagdating mo dOn lalakad ka lang ng konti sasakay tapos uupo ka na then there you go.

wala naman charge sis kasi may maybank atm si husband. nilagyan nya lang ng laman yun para yun ang gamitin namin pag need namin ng pera.

Has anyone tried doing a daytour to Melaka? I read na 2 hours away from KL sya, but i cant seem to find out saan yung main bus terminal papunta, may nakita ako na meron daw departing from KL Senteal, meron naman na dapat punta ng TBS? And then another site saying sa Pudrajaya bus station? So confused, but i really want to do Melaka kesae sa Genting, i want to see more culture rather than casinos and amusement parks 

sis, sa TBS na talaga siya ngayon. dati sa puduraya, then rinenovate so sa bukit jalil muna temporary station. then ngayon, yung sa puduraya, mga buses going  to north ang andun then sa TBS, buses going south like sg.

^ awesome.. thanks so much.. TBS it is then. I think we can do this naman in one day, leave KL around 8AM tapos leave Melaka around 5 or 6PM. :-)

dun po sa mga nag stay na sa Rainforest.. ganu kalapit yung nearest train station? Yung Bukit Bintang na station ba yung pinaka malapit? I was looking at the map, and parang 4 blocks away sya, mahirap ba hanapin?

sorry, it's a 4 day holiday here and i've been busy being a tour guide to my relatives.

sis tickeled-pink, here's my reply to your queries:
1) Melaka can be reached by bus wherein the stations are in TBS (can be reached by Star LRT station Tasik Selatan).  Dito kasi ang mga south bound bus. 

2) From Rainforest, you can take the monorail station in Raja Chulan, then baba ka
ng Hang Tua, interchange in the Star LRT going to Tasik Selatan.  Pag bumili ka ng tiket sa monorail, choose na agad Tasik Selatan.  Then pag nasa Hang Tua ka, check the train you are riding ha, kasi 2 ang gumagamit ng line na yon.  Dapat ang sakyan mo, yong Sri Petaling na line, hindi Ampang.  Makikita mo yon sa digital sign or sa harap ng parating na train.

sis meannelopez, here's my answers naman:
this is faster than taking the bus, pero ang matagal lang is antayin ang train ng KLIA or even the shuttle bus to Salak Tinggi.  pag bus naman, the convenience is not to go change transportation na, which is hassle pag me luggage ka.  i'd still go for the bus kahit 1.5 hrs ride siya from LCCT (to KL Sentral) kasi nga mas relaxed na ko don.

^^ sis huit, depende kasi yan kung san kayo kakain, etc.  usually, mga RM10-20 isang meal, pero mas mura siyempre pag sa mga hindi resto or fast food ka kakain.  pag ma-shopping ka, don ka mag-budget ng mas malaki kasi abot ka pa sa mid year sale, which will end sa sept. 2.

by the way, maulan the past couple of days, kahit saglit lang.  magdala na rin kayo ng payong if ever, kasi tita ko walang dala payong e buti nasa loob lagi kami ng mall pag naulan.

2. famous amos cookies
3. malaysian coffee (old town/giant house/aik cheong)?

I just booked our hotel at The Nest in BB - i was choosing between 3 hotels actually, Rainforest, La Comme and The Nest -- they are all within the BB area and quite near each other. The Nest won cause they were cheaper, MYR99 a night for a Budget Room and the place looks lovely, #2 in rating rin sila sa Bed&Breakfast sa Tripadvisor.

I guess for those searching for a place in BB - you can try to research more on those 3.

So, I'm one "to-do" down - next for me is the final Itinerary.

^^ beryl's can also be bought in famous amos shops. me mga famous amos sa mga malls. i just don't know how much mga nasa tin cans.

yong old town coffee,you can buy in groceries. kahit yong ibang coffee na nabanggit mo. kung bukit bintang area ka stay, meron Giant grocery sa sungai wang. makakabili ka din ng old town coffee a mismong old town coffee shop. meron din old town sa lcct.

by the way, just saw kanina na meron ng Victoria's secret shop sa Pavilion. 1st floor ata yon. ang saya, para akong batang nakapasok a candy shop.

Help mga sis. Is Malaysia strict sa solo female travelers? I'm meeting my family there kasi. Im worried baka magkaroon ng issues sa airport.

^ no worries.  san kayo magkikita, sa airport na ba, dito nagwo-work family mo? as long as you have the proper documents naman sis, no problem.  check out the immigration thread for more info.

What documents are you referring to sis? You mean the return ticket back to Manila?

And we're back!

We had a great time in KL. So let me share some thoughts about our trip.

Day 1 @ Clark Airport - we had our peso exchanged to ringgit for P13.90.  May I suggest to those planning to go to Malaysia to have ringgits before boarding Air Asia.  The flight attendants (FAs) may accept your peso for food or souvenir or Skybus ticket purchase but their exchange rate is at P15.  Medyo lugi ka na agad.

Yes, Skybus tickets to KL Sentral can be purchased from the FAs and even before boarding the bus right outside the LCCT.  By the way, people esp. drivers in Malaysia refer to the LCCT as Air Asia airport. 

Also, the Malaysian immigration does not require you to fill out any immigration forms.  I asked the FAs before landing if I could have immigration forms, they said no need. So. While the queue at immigration was long with a number of foreign tourists, it was fast moving.  I don't think we spent half an hour there.  No finger scanning also.  There was just a sticker stapled to our passports and we were off. 

Taking the Skybus to KL Sentral was a good decision: cheaper and more convenient.  Ang layo pala ng airport to KL City mismo. It felt like I was in Clark going to QC! Parang ganun...

The temperature when we arrived was like April/summer hot!  Masakit sa ulo! But when the bus got around the Putrajaya area, it was raining.  Lakas, but it eventually stopped  Tama si sisphurple, umuulan nga in the afternoon then tapos na in a few minutes. Galling! So it's best to schedule your strolling in the morning, tapos malls or museums in the afternoon.

No traffic! Maybe because nga it was a long holiday for the nationals.  Walking around the Shangrila area going to KLCC, wala masyadong tao.  We'd see tourists (mostly Caucasians) also walking/strolling around. 

It was 7pm already and the sun was still up! We took pictures of the Petronas Towers, [textspeak!] dami din tao like us. Nasa mall pala ang mga tao! Vincci (in Suria) was packed!  I got to see some stuff but didnt purchase any with three whining kids in tow! They were tired and hungry naren [textspeak!].

Had dinner at Chicken Rice. Sarap naman sya.  Only RM 5 without soda; + RM 2 with soda (not Coke tho'; 'twas their My Cola).  Pwede na, di BA?  Then my girls saw Garret popcorn! We had to get the Chicago mix (cheese & caramel, combined). Yum! We had it when we were in Universal Studios S'pore, so the kids know how good it was.  Plus Gong Cha milk tea. OK na sila.  Happy na to walk back to our hotel

^ katuwa naman, baka isa ka sa mga nakasalubong ko na when i was walking my relatives around din, hehe....

kaninang umaga medyo makulimlim, ngayon, maaraw na naman, pero nakikita ko, dumidilim na naman sa bandang Petronas.  kaya just bring an umbrella with you along, kasi monsoon season na rin dito.  pero as i've said, saglit lang naman ang ulan

hi mga sis, im back from our sg-kl trip..7 hrs. yong travel namin by bus from sg to kl tapos umuulan pala kaya pagdating namin sa hotel di na kami namasyal..kinabukasan, pumunta kami ng china town tapos balik sa hotel para iwan yong pinamili tapos pasyal sa sunway lagoon at nag shopping sa sunway pyramid, kinagabihan dumaan kami sa twin tower para photo ops tapos back to hotel para kunin ang mga gamit at diretso sa bus terminal to LCCT..ang bilis lang namin sa kuala hehe..

^ mabilisan ba, hehhe...yong tita ko naman, natuwa mag-shopping sa pavilion at sa midvalley.  di ko na nadala sa sunway kasi kulang din sa oras.  tito ko naman natuwa mag-shop ng IT gadgets sa Low Yat.

^ hi sis, hehe para nga kaming nag amazing race sa pasyal namin..may sale kasi sa sunway pyramid kaya dun na lang kami nag shopping saka malapit lang sa sunway lagoon..super yummy yong jco's donut nila, sa manila lang pala may branch ng ganun wala pa dito sa davao..hopefully magkaroon na rin dito
