Hi mga sis. I am planning to go to Legoland with my son. Wala akong alam sa Malaysia. Gusto ko sana kunin yung promo ng Air Asia via Clark to KL tapos overnight sa KL then Johor tapos mag Legoland kami. I have no idea lang where to sleep. As in gulong gulo ako sa mga pangalan hindi tulad ng HK may idea ako. Parang ang dali lang makabisado. Can you help me? Nag cgheck ako, mahal flights to SG eh. Abot 5k per person pero sa Air Asia 3K lang KL, 2 na kami at RT tickets na. Please help!

^^ sis purpleish eto mga sagot ko.
1) Holiday dito sis ng Nov 13 and 15 is a holiday so malamang maraming nakaleave ng buong week plus it's a school holiday pa dito so peak season siya until the end of the year na.

2) Yong My Hotel maglalakad ka pa sis ng konti, just don't know gano kalayo kasi i seldom go to KL Sentral.  Perhaps you can check out the link ng map sa mycentral posted na rin ni  sis pinay.

3)  the station is open 24 hrs pero the establishments inside are not.  some bus to LCCT are not 24 hrs din.  Monorail is open only at 6am.  The fare is based sa layo ng pupuntahan mo sis (so nasa RM 1.20 - RM2).  It's about 5 mins slow walking from the KL Sentral monorail station to the KL sentral main.

4) Yong buffet lunch sa Genting, alam ko until 2pm lang ata sis.  so 12-2 pm.  usually lunch buffet are around that time anywhere.  kasama na sa go genting package ang return ticket.  ikaw na magsasabi what time ang balik na gusto mo as long as may schedule.

5) It's definitely better if you opt to go to all the spots para masulit mo yong price.  If you love nature, then definitely sa Lake Garden (bird park, etc).  shopping sa chinatown at sentral market.  yung bukit bintang pwede mo na rin naman puntahan pag me spare time ka pa.

6) you can refer to the mycen map i posted sa previous thread.  same map posted by sis pinay.

^sis kikay, maybe you can back read, maraming suggestions dito.  also, napaguusapan din namin ang legoland, kasi as of now, wala pa rin news release kelan talaga ang opening niya.  at kung me transportation na diretso don kasi medyo mahirap ang transpo sa Johor pag walang own transpo.

re My Hotel @ KL Sentral
malapit lang siya sa monorail station. halos tapat ng ymca. i think 2 years pa lang itong hotel na to so konti pa lang nakakakilala. nung nagpunta kami, walang nakakaalam sa mga natanong namin about dito, kahit yung pulis. good thing, sabi ko sa may ymca. ayun, tinuro agad kami.

Just came back from our malaysia trip. And here's what happened:
Day 1: We arrived about past 8pm. We stayed at Hotel Petaling in Chinatown. Room was decent enough for sleeping. Quite small but with all the basics you'll need (towels, soap, tissue, kettle, wifi). We weren't able to go to the twin towers for we are already exhausted from the flight. We just roam around chinatown and bought nothing.
Day 2: We woke up early just to find out it was raining heavily. We ended up waiting for the weather to calm down and just went dtraight to Sunway Lagoon. Again, we weren't able to see the petronas yet neither we were able to visit batu caves. After sunway, we went back to our hotel, dropped iur things, rested a bit and alas, went to the well known twin towers to see its magnificent view. We weren't able to roam arnd Suria mallfor they were about to close when we arrived. Oh and by the way, the big roller coaster in sunway was closed whenwe were there.
Day 3: Flight to Penang. Transport is a bit exhausting so we decided to hire a guide and van until the following day. Guide was RM800 which includes the van, airport transfers and guide. We stayed at Fastbook Hostel which is near to Penang hill and kek lok si temple so it was a bit far from georgetown which is the center of penang. We went to 1st Avenue mall, komtar on our first day, reclining buddha, hindu temple, passed by esplanade, city hall, supreme court, armenia st., fort cornwallis and of course, toured around georgetown. We also feasted on authentic penang food in jalan macalister. We then understood why penang is worldwide known when it comes to food.
Day 4: We went to kek lok si temple and went up to the giant goddess of mercy statue uphill using their inclined lift. We passed by air hitam street and market, penang hill, georgetown again for lunch but we were disappointed when we ate in a decent restaurant cos the foods on streets are much better. We went to marina bay after and to the newky opened straits quay then batu ferringi after.
Day 5: Genting Highlands. It was super foggy up there when we arrived past 1pm. The travel was tiring and we were able to rest about past 2 pm. There were a lot of tourists too. Stayed at First World hotel. We decided not to got to the parks for it was already late. We reserved it for tomorrow. We were all excited about the cable car but it was clsed til august 5 due to maintenance activities. Went to Casino at night. Registered for the card, and voila, we got free tickets to the Freeze show which is an ice and magic show worth RM55 min. :-)
Day 6: We slowed down a bit by this time. Woke up late and went straight to the casino for the rest of our family to sign up for them to get free tickets. :-) Went to the ticket counter after for the all park pass and to our disappointment, the outdoor theme park was closed due to bad weather. It was really incredibly foggy and cold outside. You will not be able to see thecoasters outside. Some rides opened late in the afternoon but the flying coaster, flying dragon and the monorail were closed all day! Ripleys and Haunted Adventure is worth RM35 so we de ided to skip. Because of that, we just enjoyed ourselves inside the indoor theme park, the Freeze show and the casino
Day 7: We took the first trip down the city. Left our luggage at Sentral lockers, went to the petronas again and roam around suria mall. Went back to kl sentral to pick up our luggage the took a bus to LCCt around past 3pm. Flew back to manila around 6:30pm.

^ wow, you went to a lot of places during your trip here a....

naguulan kasi ngayon e, pero me days na walang ulan.  usually, kung me LPA sa pinas, uulan dito. yesterday di umulan maghapon, ngayon maaraw din.  let's see mamayang hapon.

Sis @phurple0515, onga eh. Pero when we were in penang, the weather was really good.

^sis @ pinay4keeps. The big locker is RM20 for the whole day. While the smaller is RM10. Just make sure that you will not be needing anything from your luggage inside cos you have to pay evrytime you open it. So dapat bubuksan mo lang sya kung kukunin mo na talaga yung gamit mo.:-)

And nga pala, maganda ang palitan sa kl sentral sa tabi ng mcdonalds at ok din sa genting casino. :-)

Mga sis Sept 15 ang opening ng Legoland, yun ang nakita ko sa website nila. Mga magkano kaya ang budget going to Malaysia? w/o shopping. Overnight for 3 nights tapos transportation and food?

Sisses/Sis phurple0515, saan ba mas strategic na magbook ng stay, sa Bukit Bintang or sa KL Sentral? Saan ba mas malapit ang Berjaya Times Square? Kasi manggagaling kami ng Johor Bahru via bus (Legoland - i was assuming na Starmart ang masasakyan namin).. tapos ang punta namin pauwi is sa LCCT. I know na sa KL Sentral ang Skybus papuntang LCCT. Kung sa KL Sentral ang wiser location, can you give me hostel recommendations? I was supposed to book Rainforest sa Bukit Bintang pero naisip ko baka mas okay kung sa KL Sentral na lang ako maghanap.. Marami namang makakainan dun noh?

itinerary:

DAY 1: from SG to Legoland
DAY 2: KL City Tour via HOHO (buy pasalubong at chinatown and central market); leave KL at 8PM
DAY 3: 1AM Flight

^^ it has been their release sa website nila since last year.  pero until now, no news pa rin kung ano na.    Johor ang place ng Legoland, not here in Kuala Lumpur.  Johor is the boundary na ng SG at KL.  So mas malapit siya sa SG.  Cheap lang naman dito pero I am not particular sa Johor kasi.  Will let you know once talagang Legoland goes public na open na sila kasi for sure pupuntahan namin ni  hubby yon.

^ sis bebeloo, sa Bukit Bintang mas malapit ang Time Square.  Pag bus kayo from Johor, usually, sa Tasik Selatan ang station niya, you check kung magbababa sila sa area ng pudu station.  pag KL sentral, I think may sis tayo dito nagpabook sa My Hotel.  You can check that one.  Mas less nga lang ang choices of food around KL sentral.  Maraming Indian stalls kasi malapit yon sa area ng mga Indians.

^ thanks sis. nacheck ko sis mas malapit ang pudu station sa raja chulan station, so mas okay pa rin na sa Rainforest kami magbook noh? Yung Tasik Selatan, anong line siya sis, ETS Transit Station noh (yellow)?

yung HOHO ba sis, saan makakabili ng tickets? sa KL Sentral diba?

natanong ko na ba kung okay lang may luggage sa mga trains?

^ Star LRT sis ang Tasik Selatan to Hang tua then from hang Tua, monorail ka to raja Chulan.

HOHO can be bought sa lahat ng stops, meron don HOHO agents selling the tickets.  usually maganda magstart sa Petronas na. picture picture muna kayo don then pag gusto niyo na magstart ng HOHO, don na kayo pumunta sa area ng pick up, andon na HOHO agent.  Then you end up in Petronas too, so pag gabi yon, meron ka ulit picture sa Petronas sa gabi

^ then ang petronas sis is mas malapit sa Bukit Bintang kesa sa KL Sentral? better choice is to book in BB than KL Sentral, tama ba sis?

oo sis.  pwede ka na nga mglakad from BB to Petronas kasi meron ng walkway from Pavilion mall (opposite Raja Chulan monorail) diretso na sa Petronas.

1. KL Sentral: sis I planned na 3am yung kunin nila na sched sa SkyBus para bago mag 5am andun na sila sa airport ...ok lang ba yun?? parang I read sa post mo before na usually ata ganyan time nasa KL Sentral na kayo pag maaga ang flight niyo... Sky Bus lang ba ang pwedeng sakyan or meron ka pang bus na maadvice sis??

2. Genting: saan sasabihin sis dun na mismo sa Genting or dun sa KL Sentral na pag bibilhan palang ng Go Genting??

3. Map: I mean sis yung parang tourist map na nakukuha naten usually sa airport =)

nako sis parang biglang gusto ko ata mapanuod ang Miss You Like Crazy para mas may actual view ng Malaysia hehe...

12 pm lunch at Suria its my hubby's bday san kaya pede dalhin na resto around suria mall
2 pm HOHO Aquaria, Petrosains, If possible go to view deck of Petronas tower
7 pm go back to hotel go to Luna's bar and picture taking

buy pasalubong like famous amous cookies, beryl choco and famous white coffee san ba pede sis makabili ng mga ito witin the area?
12 PM checkout pag di kami pinayagan mag extend
lunch then proceed to PUTRAJAYA via KLIA express
5 PM back to LCCT look for old town coffe para magkape
check-in coz 9pm ang departure namin.

Hope you can give me insights sis if this is possible. Ill be bringing my 3 yo daughter with us.

^^ naku di pala nasend yong reply ko kanina, here it is:
1. at least 2 hrs before the flight kami nasa airport pag international flight sis.  madami naman bus sa kl sentral to lcct like aerobus, etc pero skybus kasi ang sa air asia kaya yon na lagi naman sinasakyan. 

2. go genting package can be bought sa KL sentral kiosk ng genting.  don din siya sa basement where the buses are parking for departure. 

3. walang map akong nakita sa lcct e or di ko lang pinapansin kung meron, hehhe.

^sis pinay, ok naman na ang iti mo.  the only church sa city centre is st. john's cathedral, sa may masjid jamek, tapos lalakad ka ng konti don sa alley malapit sa mcdo.

siguro pag sa suria kayo, meron don Madam kwan, local cuisine (Malaysian, chinese, etc) or Chili's.  since kasama niyo daughter niyo, mas ok siguro Chilis na lang kayo para me food si daughter.  baka kasi di niya mgustuhan local food dito kasi a little bit spicy.

merong famous amos stall sa suria sis, pwede na kayo mamili don.  meron ding chocolate factory don so pwede kayo tumingin ng local chocolates don like beryl's etc.
