I will ask them for the swatch that was attached to the sketch so they can prove to us that it was indeed the exact fabric fiance chose. Nawawala kasi that swatch,  they changed it to a much bigger one. That is the only time I will agree to pay for what they want me to pay.  Fiance din kasi did not cut off from the swatch. Toink.

by any chance did they tell you what the swatch is called? kasi ako, i know what my tela is kaya easy lang to buy tela from the outside. if you know, let me know and i can help you find it

yeah, that's what hard nga pag no trust na lalo na if you feel niloko ka. parang every step that is made, you have to scrutinize them na. mahirap pag ganun, better off with someone who you feel kampante with

No I dont know the name of the fabric eh. We're pulling out the suit. I texted the secretary to express my disappointment and they were kind enough to give us a refund. Will know tomorrow if it's a full refund but it seems like so. My fiance was like: o feeling ko niloloko niyo ako, just cause I got it on a discount you change my fabric into a cheaper looking one.

Might go for either Jerome Lorico or Francis Libiran. Na stress ako nakakainis.

If you're getting another designer, ask for the name of the tela para you can check it out kung how much talaga yun or if it's a nice tela talaga. Or better yet, provide your own para sure ka they won't make patong like what happened to me.

Hi sis, yes labor only tela would depend on you. Pag groom kasi medyo splurge para special so he suggests cashmere and that's about 1.2k - 1.5k per yard (you only need 3.5 yards) pero if you are on a budget, pwede naman mas cheaper. May tela nga na 200/yard eh. Though if mahal yan, may noce na 500/yard na US wool

^Thanks sis! I think its a fair deal na. Christine Eliseo quoted 7K (starting rate) for the groom's suit depending on the tela to be used pa. When you met with him ba, he brought swatches of the tela and sample designs? Thanks again!

Ang mahal naman yun suit nyo. 

ako 2.3K labor for suit, vest at pants. yun tela ko armani wool na tinawaran ko nang wagas sa yangco market, divisoria ng PhP150 per yard (from PhP 200 per yard,) 5 yards yun kinuha ko. tapos silk lining ko PhP25 per yard at 5 yards din kinuha ko. sobra sobra pa nga ako sa tela so around 3.3k suit ko. syempre alam ko okay ang mananahi ko kase kapitbahay ko lang sya. kung hindi, reresbakan ko sya sa kanto o kaya ipapabarangay ko sya. tee hee! joke! pero seriously, maganda naman ang finished product nya so komportable naman ako sa kanya. ang kinakatakot ko lang ay sumikip ang damit kase tumaba ako.

nakabili rin ako tela na katrina na PhP40 per yard (5 yards) para sa kapatid ko at kung sino man mangangailangan na groomsmen ko.

This is kinda absurb.  ang mahal naman na cashmere yan. yun italian cashmere sa divisoria ay around PhP500 per yard puede pa tumawad, sa megamall naman around PhP 600 per yard. tsaka di ko type italian cashmere kase medyo manipis sya although malambot, tsaka parang hindi pantay ang kulay. maganda pa rin sa akin tignan ang armani wool which basically the most used fabric (or at least similar in appearance) kahit sa mga branded suit sa mall. just my opinion ha.

skrumian: thanks for this. hindi kasi kami ganon ka knowledgeable with tela and where to buy and for us, pwede na yung rate nung ni mang delfin kasi compared to the designers na nagcharge ng 15k and up, mura na din with mang delfin

for me kasi, i need to consult with fiance if he likes the tela since shempre, siya naman ang susuot so I made him choose tha fabric. Medyo mahal yung nakuha nyang fabric =) OC kasi sha sa tela ng damit niya ever since. =)

pero will note this for my dad and brother.

i have a friend who had his suit for 4.5k labor sa may kamuning market. tela rin ang binigay nya. kung kumportable kayo sa mananahi, siguro labor na lang kunin nyo. tapos canvass na lang ng tela. may bilihan naman ng tela sa malls like magamall, sta lucia mall pati sa greenhills kung ayaw nyo magdivisoria. sabihin nyo lang yun telang pangsuit at bibigyan kayo ng options.  hingi na lang kayo ng sample tela sa mananahi para may pangkumpara kayo.

tsaka yun para sa mga erpats o kapatid na alam nyo naman hindi talaga nagsusuit sa araw araw na buhay eh ipa-rent nyo na lang. meron din naman mga rental at made-to-rent dyan sa tabi tabing shop para mura.

or maybe you should ask your groom to work their ass off. hindi yun puro si wifey ang nagtratrabaho para sa kasal. wala rin naman akong alam sa tela. patanongtanong at research research lang.

skrumian, thanks for your input. i actually saw and touched armani wool, i guess we have different preferences that italian cashmere naman is mid range, ka price niya yung US wool. I went to yangco din and i have a suki there and he showed me all the different tela from armani to danielli to wilson to US wool and to the fine cashmeres na umaabot ng 3k/yard most of my male entourage will be coming from abroad so renting it is out of the question, kawawa naman sila na magbabayad ng plane ticket and rented suit lang.

sugarplum_fairy, yes he does the 4.5k labor naman siya na bahala sa mga lining and all the other trimmings. basically you just need to provide the main tela.

btw, i saw lots of men in dark blue/navy blue suits while in london, they look so chic compared to a black suit. very sharp and malinis!

My fiance checked out hugo boss in gb4, he tried on some suits, and the 3 piece suits were expensive, pero some were on sale, 30k+ with discount, I think ok na yun. Kase baka sabihin na yung gown ko ginastusan, tapos yung kay fiance mukhang kawawa hehe.

Im based here in the middle east pero the choices are limited kase, and mahirap dahil baka hindi bagay sakanya or hindi niya trip or something kaya naisip ko its better to buy it in the phil. nalang, free naman alterations so ayun. I dont want to talk him out of buying his suit there coz he's kinda set na dahil nice daw yung quality. Tsaka hindi ko din alam where to have it made na ok..kaya hayaan ko nalang siya. Yung shoes naman is out of our wedding budget, KKB kame kaya bahala siya kahit magsplurge siya on it.
