2pc tuxedo - 6000 (around 3.5 yards, including the vest)
vest - 1500
shirt 1500 (around 2-3 yards depending on the design)
2pc suit - 4500 (3.5 yards)
2pc suit kids - 4000 (2.75 yards)

that's a catch ha! we went to bergamo a few weeks ago. the cost of labor for a 3pc suit is 15K daw and labor+materials (english wool) is 25K. so if delfin used to be the master cutter of bergamo, why still go to bergamo? haha

hubby got mang buboy. he's kinda famous in binondo. parang mang delfin lang din. home service. paid 4k for his services. then bought italian wool for the suit and another kind of tela for the vest at benson. less than 10k total for his outfit (including the bow tie from onesimus and polo from merger but excluding the shoes). =)

^ sis, how much the polo from merger? isip namin if we buy off the rack or pagawa eh. and how much bow/tie sa onesimus? the last tie we got was 800+!  naghahanap ako ng mga 250/pc lang hehe

^ P2300 sis. nice yung fit nya. muntik na kami bumili sa tyler buti nalang hindi natuloy! =) we borrowed the bowtie lang from a friend e. pero parang may sinabi sya na less than 500 lang yun. i'll ask again. nice na sya. narealize ko mahirap din pala maghanap ng bow tie! yung iba kasi mukhang pang-oldies e. hehe

pansin ko nga kaya sa kids na lang mag bow para cute.. si fiance naman wanted a tie but baka mag change pa mind nun hehe ah mahal nga sa tyler! pero good price na pag sale, merger is one of the best ata pag non-branded off the rack.

^ pansin ko better pa nga yung quality ng merger. i guess ang edge ng tyler is more modern and stylish yung polo nila. but since bow tie si h2b, kelangan magbagay yun sa polo nya kaya we opted for kinda traditional style. modern na naman yung suit and vest nya e. =)

i just want to share our mini horror movie with my former male entourage suit supplier, Jackson's. It took a lot before we finally decided to pull out from him (Jeffrey Ganac Chu) and here are the reasons why -

1. It took him 3 weeks to acknowledge my deposit for the 50% down payment. This is constantly reminding him through text about it.
2. He charged me 4k/yard for fiance's tela and 700/yard for my entourage's tela. I found out in Ylaya that it would only cost 1.2k/yard and 180/yard respectively
3. He said that fiance's suit is from abroad pa, meron naman pala in Divisoria
4. It would take him days to reply to my text messages. I would send him the same message 3-4 days in a row before he would reply. Basically, I am the client and I am the one running after him
5. Claims to have his own cutters but in the end, we highly suspect that he sub-contracts (2 different cutters in 2 different cities?)
6. Further that, he has a "shop" in Makati but is never there. Para siyang fly by night, he will only be there if there are appointments. No staff as well.
7. A simple zipper repair of my dad's pants took him 2 months to return to us. He would have forgotten all about it had I not asked him and he even misplaced it. We had to get mad before he moved and looked for it.
8. We had 4 suits made in advance for entourage members from abroad, when we picked it up, it didn't have individual hangers and plastics even if it is just the first fitting. it looked like trash with all suits in a clear plastic bag
9. He promised to give us pins for the alterations, no pins
10. We agreed that the dad's would have a different tela and would be black. all suits were gray and the same tela
11. The suits that we got were not stitched well even for a first fitting. the materials used were as if the suits were bought from sm but the price we paid was premium.
12. Lent me suit's for our pre-nup, they were very dirty when turned over to us and I had to have it dry cleaned. He said it came from a bridal fair but then it was sooo dirty
13. When he wanted the suits back at an earlier time as agreed, he said his actor friend had a shoot in GMA7. I know shoots and suppliers are not informed just the night before for a morning shoot.

Good thing we got fiance's tela and the 4 suits. Though just for those items, it would cost us the whole DP already based on his overpriced costings. We have found a new tailor, Delfin Recable who is the former master cutter of Bergamo. He gave us a very good price and he's even home service. The tela has no patong so he basically charges us for labor lang.

I hope this would serve as a warning to everybody as he has ads in Bridalbook and also listed in w@w. I know he also joins bridal fairs.

i just want to share, we met up with mang delfin (recable) last night, he's home service so he went to our house.

prior to that, i have told our coordinator that we will be meeting him and asked if she knew him. when she heard that he was the former master cutter of bergamo, she remembered that one of her clients got him and ok naman siya.

we got him na, what's nice is that home service siya and he doesn't make patong sa tela. it seems pulido siya din siya gumawa since fiance tried on one of his suits for deliver and it looked smart. he claims to be fast but then will found out soon.

anyways, this is the breakdown if labor only. pwede din sa kanya tela, you just have to choose which and he'll charge you how much ylaya would charge you.

We got JC Buendia for my fiance's suit. Got a 10k discount because of fiance's cousin. Somewhat a friend of JC.

Fiance got a sketch, a swatch and waited for a quote. Ayun nga we got it lower than the usual price he gives to others. Fiance had his fitting 2 days ago... and this is where the story gets bad....

The vest seemed to be tight on the waist. My friend was also there as he is the one who knows suits well. He was like: errr JC are you sure the vest is his? Then he goes to the stock room or whatever they call it and brings in another vest and say, ay na mix nga nila (his people) yung vest. Fiance tries it on and hindi parin sa kanya. He again went back and finally its fiance's vest na. Hooray!!!

So finish na the fitting. We went to the car and my friend and fiance discussed that they BOTH felt the fabric was different from the fabric they have chosen before. We went back after contemplating for 5 mins. Fiance kasi returned the sketch with the swatches to JC when they got his measurement after he paid the DP. He did not get a cut of the swatch but I took a picture of the swatches which was attached to JC's sketch.

JC said something like: I gave this sketch to my assistant, she then orders the fabric from the supplier, supplier then gives us the fabric and I work on it... In between the process a mistake was most probably made.

We tried looking for the original vest swatch from the choices he gave us, WALA NA!!!

We settled for something good but it wasn't what my fiance originally wanted. Also even the suit fabric itself, he and my friend felt naiba din. Kasama din kasi yung friend ko when they chose the fabric during the first meeting. But with the suit fabric, they were unsure if it was indeed the original one- mga 30% unsure lang. Yung vest iba talaga.

I wanted to email them and tell them I will pay them 10k more (as in the original price) just get me that effin original fabric and give me the suit and service that wasn't less than 10 thousand!!! Ayaw ko lang mag taray in person- bridezilla mode na ako!!

hi sis, i suggest get a refund na lang but i highly doubt it that he would give you a full refund as your finace has had a fitting na

I just emailed my coordinator about this dilemma. Told her we feel deceived and that I want to pull out only if we get the full DP back.  Or I'll make them find that original fabric from wherever in the world if I cannot pull it out. I will have them search the swatch that was originally attached to the sketch. Fiance also feels the suit's fabric was also changed. I also told Jody I also feel like they don't know whose suit is whose. What if they give us the wrong suit diba, like there's another groom na same body type as my fiance and na exchange nila because its not too obvious, as to what happened during my fiance's  fitting.

As of today I texted them to stop the production kasi nga based on your facebook message to me. Baka they charge me pa additional for the labor today if they continue to work on it.

We're looking into Prince Albert. Any feedbacks about that place?

Hay nako or mag order ng Hugo Boss. Pa alter nalang to perfectly fit him.

^ sis, wait and see na lang what jody says but when i consulted my coordinator about it, she said that i really won't get my full DP back kasi may tela na and it was done na so may charges which i thought was acceptable. the problem now here is how much he will charge you for the used tela and the labor.

i suggest at this stage, don't continue na kasi wala ng trust. mahirap kasi to continue a business relationship if there is no trust. ikaw lang ma praning then there will always be doubts sa honesty niya.

i read forums where in guys talk about suits and the feedback about prince albert is not so nice. if i may recommend, try cornell's tailoring in kalayaan near rockwell, sarto manila in new manila, mel orlina would recommened mang totoy galang and you can contact my tailor as well, delfin because he does home service and would only charge you the cost of the tela and won't make patong.
