May nagwowork ba dito as freelancer sa Elance? Any raves or rants?

JUst registered kasi. How do they give what you earned ba? Hindi ba pwede Paypal or LFT like Odesk?

Nice to have an elance thread.  Was able to withdraw once with Elance.  Medyo magulo (or di ko lang maintindihan) and withdrawal/fund transfer method nila.  I used Elance to Paypal.  Kung Elance to Local Bank kasi di ko magets ang set up ng accounts nila and that time I cannot afford mistakes.  Ang hirap pang ma kontak ang customer support so I used paypal at ang tagal over or less than a week yata bago mag reflect sa paypal unlike sa odesk na seconds lang nasa paypal na . 

Sa local fund transfer, you have to enter the the bank's swift code and address.  Confuse lang ako dun sa address na gagamitin, kung yung sa Ayala branch ba or sa bank branch ko. 

Yung second payment ko I used to buy connects for me to be able to apply jobs and until now, wala pa akong bagong contract. 

Medyo complicated lang ang Elance gamitin kasi wala silang live chat.  Pero mas mataas ang payment nila compared to Odesk dahil you have to pay if you want to apply to jobs more.  May client ako mas gusto ang Elance than odesk. 

Sa fixed rate meron silang Elance Escrow to guarantee the contractor that they will get paid.   Not sure lang about the details. 

Sa time tracker naman, walang team room or di ko lang alam dahil wala akong ka team.

I also want to put up an agency in Elance pero complicated until now di ko pa nagagawa dahil nga sa poor customer support.

I have an Elance account pero di ko nagagamit. May mga nakukuha akong job offers pero dahil busy ako sa odesk noon at iba pa, di ko rin matanggap. Naka-setup na rin ang profile ko doon.

Mukhang maganda rin doon. Yung mga freelancers na mas gusto ang fixed priced bidding, baka yun ang mas magustuhan nila. Pero may hourly jobs rin sila doon.

At yup tama si @mommytaf, may bayad na kung gusto mong magbid pa sa mas maraming jobs. Di rin mura ang monthly. Kaya di masyadong sikat sa Pinoy ang freelance site na ito.

pwede pala sya sa paypal. akala ko wala kaya hindi ko pa inyaos yung profile ko. kaya siguro wala silang tracker dahil parang mas marami fixed rate nila?

paano maprotect na magbayad ang clients sa fixed rates nila?

^ may escrow sila sis. yun ang kinaganda ng elance over odesk pagdating sa fixed rate projects. ang pagkakaalam ko sa escrow system nila, kailangan may fund deposit na ata para doon sa project (di ko lang masyadong kabisado kung ganito talaga).

kaya protected ang freelancer doon sa elance dahil sa escrow.

sa odesk, walang kasiguruhan kung magbabayad ang client sa fixed rate jobs. ayaw nilang magpa-escrow doon kahit marami na ang nagrerequest.

May time tracking din ang elance.  Hindi nga lang kasing ganda gamitin gaya ng odesk. Funded nga ang escrow payment nila kaya ang mga freelancers at clients na gusto ng fixed rate mas gusto ang elance.

Registered March this year but just started to apply for jobs audio transcriptionist and eidting stints just today, set up a decent profile too. I just dont know how to put pricing rates for when submitting proposals to clients. I tried 15-20 lang muna so cheaper or should I offer a cheaper rate than that range?

2 months na ko nagwowork sa Elance (besides sa 8 clients ko sa oDesk) maiba lang, mas ok ayaran sa Elance, mas galante ang clients dun LOL

i also have an ex-officemate who used to do freelance writing in elance for several years. mas nagagandahan sya sa elance than odesk in the sense na mas ok ang fixed rate, mas "professional" daw mga contractor (in her opinion lang naman) and mas feeling nya secured sya sa projects. so i also tried putting up an account there just now. try lang hehe

Ive been rejected for jobs and Ive used up the 15 chances to apply. I even lowered my rate to 3usd per hour or 5usd per hour. Pahirapan when one's really starting out pa lang. Oh my

I just signed up on Elance 2 days ago. Down kasi ang oDesk website that time so I tried to register on Elance muna. I tried signing up on oDesk at medyo naguluhan na ako! hehe. I guess mas nasanay ako agad sa Elance. Mas kumpleto ang profile ko sa Elance and took some tests. In short, mas focused ako sa Elance than oDesk. Mara.mi na kasi ako nasubmit na proposal and 3 have already replied! Yay! though wala pang job offer. hehe! Good luck sa lahat ng nag-aapply!

also registered sa elance. may 2 nagreply pero wala pang confirmation if tuloy na ako magwork sa kanila. isang freelance blogger/writer at transcription. sana matanggap na ako. ang tagal din kasi magreply sa email.

Sa elance din yung client ko. For the past two months, withdrawals to my PayPal account takes just a few minutes para mag-reflect sa PayPal ko except for today na hours na wala pa din but that's okay. Sa odesk kasi nagugulugan ako, mas naaayusan ako sa set up ng elance. Hourly din yung team namin sa client and may additional payment for every doc na matapos on top of the hourly rate. Napansin ko din na mas galante din mga clients sa elance and hindi masyado nambabarat compared sa clients sa odesk.


Yung isang client ko naman from another website, direcho na PayPal to PayPal wala nang dinadaanang iba, no tracker either.

Meron sila suggestions sa right side ng profile mo to complete your profile. 90% pa lang complete yung sakin, the last thing I needed to do was verify my identity which I haven't done yet. Some clients naman are strict regarding the profile completeness, some are not, pero better talaga if you undergo the identity verification process where you will be interviewed by someone from Elance via Skype video-conference and you'll be asked to show a valid ID they will take a snapshot of. Hindi kami maka-video yung Elance guy kaya for resked yung sakin which hindi ko na nagawa pa.
