hi mga sis im planning to look for a job sana in hotel industry in singapore..kahit entry level lang cuz im just a graduate. i know kasi maraming pinoys working in hotels there. is it hard to get in now?

^ sis xtine it's true. my schoolmates are already there in sg. as of now, they dont receive 3,000 since may salary deductions pa sila, pero yung ibang kasamahan na natapos na ang salary deductions, they get 3,000 SGD na. they are holders of E-PASS. and hindi sila sa isang retail store lang like sa uniqlo lang, nagrorotate sila sa ibang stores, depende kung saan sila i-assign ng agency sa sg.

^sis possible naman siguro yan kung may solid experience ka sa retail at sa high end shops, pero like sis xtine, duda ako dyan. As in malaking question mark yan. Kung ganyan na ang narereceive ng ibang kasamahan ng schoolmates mo, good for them.

^It's a little hard to believe to have a 3k salary for a saleslady. I think the highest they would go for foreigners in a retail position is 2k to meet the salary requirement. Pasensya na ha, I'm not saying it's not true pero I find it unbelievable for a retail exec to be holding an e pass lalo na ngayon na yung ibang e pass holders na minsan nga management level na, na-downgrade sa s pass nung ni-renew.  Maybe it's possible if you're friend is employed by a luxury brand?

^ i agree.  i know someone who works as saleslady and she was getting less than 2k pa nga e, foreigner yon.  pinalabas na lang ata na pasok siya nong agency pero alam ko maliit lang ang sahod niya.

^Yung iba kasi ang ginagawa kunyari 2k yung sahod pero in reality less than that yung sahod. Ang ginagawa ng employee pagka-receive ng salary sinosoli yung sobra.

^yes i think luxury brand nga. even though SGD 3k kasi ang sweldo hindi lahat papatol, like ako i didnt pursue. imagine 10hrs ang work 1 hour break lang and once a week ang off pero bawal weekends and holidays. that's why they get 3k. and hndi lang pagse-saleslady ang ipapagawa sayo if you're a Retail exec companies na hawak ng agency na yun, ikaw na rin ang cashier, mag-iinventory, etc. it's a tough job. yung mga retail exec na nasa 2k lang sweldo siguro they just do the "saleslady stuff".

anyway, graduates of admu, dlsu and dls-csb lang qualified for epass ng agency na yun.

this is good enough estimate..how much is tax  pala?

So if your annual gross income is @ S$48,000 then your default tax is S$ 550 for the first S$40,000.  Then 7% on the remaining S$8000.  So thats S$1,110 (Php37,185) for the whole year.  About S$92 a month for 12 months.

Although to have this rate, you have to have working days of more than 183 days.

I would like to join this thread not because I want to apply when I go to SG, but plainly due to curiosity, plus walang nagrereply sa UAE Job Hunting. haha

advisable pa rin ang magapply muna online or research on companies na pwede mong pag-walk inan when you get there. Kaso I think most companies prefer online application than walk in.
