thank sis xtine for answering even in the other thread excited na nininerbiyos na ko umalis.
just booked a roundtrip flight to sg. hindi namn siguro maghihinala ang io dahil ginawa ko 2 weeks yung pagitan ng dates?
balak ko rin kasi umuwi to get my other things once makakuha na ko ng place to stay.
lahat ba ng palabas inuusisa? or may mganapipili lang? any tips para hindi paghinalaan?

^you're welcome sis.  Ako nga one month ang pagitan ng RT ko.  Sa isang officemte ko, our company booked more than one month ang pagitan kaya di sya pinayagan makapasok ng IO dito sa SG kasi 30 days lang ang visitors pass kaya no choice si HR namin to rebook his flight to earlier "flyback" date. 

Once you arrive here as tourist, saka mo makukuha [textspeak!] Epass mo then that's te time you apply for OWWA membership and OEC sa Phil embassy.  At least fully processed ka na dito sa SG.  But i do suggest bring your english diplomas and certificate of employments.  Based in past experiences, you have to prove to MOM that educational and employment history you put in your epass application for is genuine and valid.  Good luck.

^Does it mean hindi ka nakakuha ng clearance sa dati mo work sis?  Kaya ka di nakakuha ng COE?  In my case, I was not cleared yet by my company (no time to go back to manila) Kaya iniscan k nlang lahat ng contracts ko pertaining to my old work.  Pero I was contractual kasi.  It was my proof that I did work for that company for the number of years I specified in the application form.

ndi ako nakakuha kasi nag ka blema. hinihingi b ng MOM un lahat ng COE? all of my previous jobs [textspeak!] meron ako ( ibang country din) [textspeak!] sa country lang na isa hindi and I dont think makakuha ako uli. [textspeak!] experience nio b4 [textspeak!] it come sto the requirements?

I can present ba mga contracts?

matagal kn ba din jan sa sg? balak ko kasi mag hanap ng work , antay p ng tamang timing.

^ I did present mine, just in case, scan ALL your contracts with your previous employers.  Lahat ng walang COE, I suggest scanned copies of contracts.  Kasi yun ang dati kong hindi maibigay sa employer ko, ayaw nila payagan na isubmit ang Epass application ko without those.  Baka nga siguro requirement tlaga ni MoM. 

Wait sis, akala ko meron ka na employer?  Kaya you need COE? If maghahanap ka pa lang ng work, I suggest secure mo na mga requirements while there in Phils (before coming here)

You can ask for previous employer for COE pero they will scan it and send to you.  MoM naman does not accept hard copy, everything you pass to MoM is softcopy.  So PDF is already sufficient.  Ask your potential employer if they will be needing it, but in your case, sana meron ka just to be sure kasi baka sabihin sayo kelangan, just like what my previous employer asked me kaya na stress ako ipascan yung contracts ko sa kakilala ko since di ako makauwi ng pinas.  Natakot pa nga ako kasi since pinascan ko sila, nakita nila old sweldo ko.

1.5 years pa lang ako dito sa SG.  My company assigned me here and after few months I resigned kasi liit ng sweldo ko (PHP) pero nakaassign ako sa SG.  I noticed, mataas ang bigay pag sa type of job ko so I applied here.  Then less than a month after I resigned sa work ko, may nakuha na agad ako sa awa ng Dyos.  So I applied here instead.  Good thing marami ang requirement sa IT dito kaya pinalad ako.   But I do suggest to bring around S$2,000 as pocket money to pay for your rental (HDB bedspacer) and mga gastos just to get by.

^Yes sis kasi I told them na hindi pa ako nakakakuha ng clearance from my headquarters in PH.  Employee kasi ako ng PH office then pinadala ako sa branch nila dito sa SG.  So technically, I still work for PH branch kaya PHP pa rin sweldo ko but I was assigned here.  Since nagresign ako at di na ako umuwi sa Pinas, hindi ko nalakad ang clearance ko kasi kelangan ng personal appearance pag ipapaclose ang payroll account ko.  And no clearance means no COE.  So I just had my contracts scanned.  Ayaw pumayag ng new company ko na walang proof na nagwork ako doon sa dati kong company kaya scanned contracts ang binigay ko.

@makee, sis I also came here as a tourist. Meron din akong IPA pero di ko to ipinakita sa IO sa Pinas or SG. Always remember, kung ano lang ang tinatanong yun lang ang sasagutin mo. Huwag mong i-volunteer na ipakita ang IPA mo.

Same as sis xtine, dito ko na din inayos ang OWWA membership ko after ko makuha ang E-pass card.

Just make sure that all your documents are ready, to be safe na din, mas maigi kung may scanned copies ka (like passport, TOR, diploma etc). Recently, may na news na mga nahuling na-meke ng papers to get a job here.

hi sis mahvy... planning pa po ako to go der and i have the documents red ribbon and i will scan  all copies. ask ko lang if [textspeak!] ang stwashon jan for jobhunters ? greatly affected ba sa rules ng MOM?

I am not disheartening you but nowadays since last year mahirap ng kumuha ng job sa sg ang mga baguhan. dahil tinaasan nila ng government ang sweldo to get a pass so employers cannot afford to get anymore foreigners na and ofcourse quota rin sa foreigners because sg is pushing employers to hire locals and PRs first.

marami akong friends na kahit renewal of pass na rereject pa rin. so talagang tyagaan lang and a lot prayers.

^^^thanks sis mahvy medyo nagsesettle in na rin ako dito sg. thank God wala ako masyadong naging aberya sa IO sa Pinas. ang napapansin ko ang mahal ng services dito. may alam ba kayong medyo mura na pedicure/manicure dito. nagtry ako sa may jurong pero parang sa neighborhood parlor lang ang service. definitely not worth what i paid for.

Bumili na lang ako ng pedicure set at ako na lang naglilinis. Di ko din naman kinucut yung gilid ng kuko kaya okay lang na linis linis lang.

Sa pinas lang ako nagpapa mani pedi sa parlor hehe .

^Nope.  Pati IT pahirapan.  I have a pinoy colleague, walang maibigay na project sa kanya so she was relocated to KL.  Ako naman 5 months walang project so they issued me a one month notice.  Then came a lot of interviews pero lahat barat magbigay.  So I ended up selecting a very short project para may time ako mag hanap ng mas ok na long term employment package.  Now that my short term project is about to end, medyo kaunti na rin ang tumatawag.  I'm SAP consultant by the way.  I think I want to head home na rin (pinas).  I mean, if they can't give my current salary, its a waste to stay here granted na I need to fly to manila every now and then.  Kung mag titipid ako, sa manila nalang, not here kung san mataas ang rent sa bahay.  Sa pilipinas, there's somebody to do my laundry, cook for me, no rent to pay and I am already included in the family groceries.

^ oh i heard SAP consultants take home a decent earning nga talaga. Tama, pahirapan at di lang sa pinoy ha. I have an Aussie ex colleague naman who resigned from our company worked in the states then went back here. He was jobless for a couple of months kasi may offer nga di man lang matapatan ang salary nya kahit from our company level sana, so ayun good thing may opening ng DBA sa US based office namin, dun sya hinire.

and tumpak sa mataas na rent ng bahay din. hahaha. kaloka ang presyo jusme.
