the yam cha buffet is more limited in terms of selections.

correction for the full dimsum buffet dinner it's p688 nett pala for the month of august.

xin tian di has a good dimsum buffet, noticed they have added new dishes already since i ate there, though i think shang palace is better.

^^sis loball, naku lahat ng sinabi mo sis wala din. yan din hinahanap ko e. sa seafood section ang meron lang e yun curacha at tahong. walang lobster, oyster o kahit prawns na nga lang wala pa rin talaga. then yun ibang food nila walang lasa matabang. sa chinese section wala ding hakaw.

don't know kung dahil promo yun kaya ganun. pero di ba makakaavail ka lang naman ng promo pag group of 5 or more kayo? so kung konti lang kayo, reg price pa rin babayaran mo. i don't think worth it sya if that's their buffet spread. taas pa naman ng expectation ko sa heat hehe.

mas nagustuhan pa rin namin yun sa hyatt market cafe na buffet kahit pa yun mga recent na punta namin dun e wala laging lobster. at least marami pa rin ibang choices dun.

yup i mean kung yun free ba e yun sa valet parking din.

anyway, dined there this lunch. di ko nagustuhan yun food. free din ang valet parking pero for 3hrs lang. we still paid 180 kasi more than 3hrs kami inabot.

I was there Saturday lunch too, you might have caught a glimpse of Mario Maurer at Heat That's where we brought him and his group.

I didn't see the selections that lunch because we were so busy and some of us ate at Summer Palace instead kasi puno na sa Heat other than the function room we reserved. Napabuti pa ata kasi naenjoy ko everything we ordered sa Summer Palace. It would be sad if the choices were that bad sa Heat. Shempre we wanted sana to impress our guests.

I was told until end of August ang P888 net promo of Heat. I hope they improve it naman...

^Bat di mo nagustuhan food sis? In my case, with Heat's promo dati, masarap sana yung food kaya lang ang daming kulang (no steak, no lechon, no lamb chops, no prawns). Eh habol ko pa naman main course, hindi super sarap na appetizer, salad, at dessert.

Kasi di ba yung usual unli ng Xin Tian Di is like P1,200 net yata. Then sa Deal Grocer nagiging around P900 yata.

I wouldn't consider that sulit.  Full breakfast at Sofitel is 1800 for 2 pax, provided you have a card.  Walang nabawas sa menu kasi wala naman talagang promo except for membership card holders.

ate at Spectrum last night, may 50% off kasi for certain BPI credit cards. meron din pala for BDO pero last day today i think.

ok yung majority ng desserts nila. yung mga main ok rin halos lahat nagustuhan ko. pinakagusto ni hubby yung fatty salmon. masarap nga yung mascarpone with honey & pistachio.

what a gluttonous week! lunch buffet at spiral last thurs. Indiana pacers were there. had dinner at cafe ilang ilang last fri at 50% off and entertained as well by bayanihan dancers. brunch at spiral again last sun to celebrate octoberfest.

Did spiral serve foie gras and uni for the lunch buffet?  You don't need to present accor discount card?

My husband and I love to eat here pero mostly for dinner lang since we don't eat heavy lunch.

^since we're a big group, I presented accor's group discount certificate to avail of the 50% discount last Thursday. there was foie gras and caviar pie too when we were there. However I couldn't recall if there was foie gras last sun brunch but there were 4 kinds of caviar offered.

if you're an accor member, then it's a must to present it to avail of the discount. Sayang naman pag hindi. but if you're not an accor card member, you can dine naman kaso you have to pay the full amount lang of the buffet. btw, spiral was fully booked for lunch and dinner last sat (kaya Sunday brunch na kami) so I suggest you call them for reservation at least 1-2 days before sis.

^ I thought they have a new promo at the moment   We had that foie gras and caviar pie nga.  And yeah, we always call ahead of time before dropping by talaga.

^There's no promo for non-accor members. spiral is celebrating octoberfest but the buffet price is still regular.

Spectrum at Fairmont Makati

The Caprese salad is excellent.  The smoked salmon is very good, but the salmon sashimi and sushi are just okay (better ang Circles for sashimi).  I love the desserts, especially home-made ice cream (the toffee flavor was the best), English bread pudding and mascarpone with ice cream. 

The hot dishes did not excite me though the roast Chinese pork was very good and the carving of roast beef was lean, very tender and flavorful.  The pizza is a bit salty but I like the crust.  Dimsum is so-so.

I'll go back if only for the desserts because this buffet has a very good dessert selection.  I'll also try the cheese spread next time.

I like the restaurant as there is a lot of natural light and it has a modern and casual ambience.  Service is excellent.  Our waiter managed to talk to the chef to give my husband and I a complimentary chocolate mousse because he learned that it was our anniversary.

For lunch, total bill for two was only P2600+.  There's a 20% discount for BPI cardholders.

heat has a promo, i think until tomorrow that weekdays lunch and dinner are 50% off for BDO platinum and titanium holders. we availed of this and it was a good deal.

also be availing for a deal grocer voucher for sunday yum cha at lili, always been a favorite.

does anyone know if spiral will be coming up with a credit card or voucher promo soon?

Tried at Fresh in Solaire Resorts and Casino buffet, hindi fresh ang shrimp nila the time na kumain kasi talagang inatake ako ng allergy ko tadtad ang buong katawan ko, ok lang ako kumain ng shrimp for as long as fresh hindi ako magkakallergy. Masarap ang sushi at ang desert table nila.

dined at sunset bar at Sofitel last night. their buffet spread is composed mostly of grilled and roasted food. so-so lang for me. well they made up naman by having fireworks at the bay and giving ladies one long-stemmed red rose each. The diners were also serenaded by a string quartet. the ambiance was quite romantic what with one dining under the stars and the moon. there was also a raffle wherein one gets to win jewelry from jewelmer. dunno who won as we went home na by 1030pm.

Wasn't it so traffic last night everywhere?  We ate at heat edsa shang but is it just me or talagang nag bago na ang quality ng food nile doon?  I prefer Spirals better now than Heat.  Heat used to be my fave before.

dined at Spiral last night. nakakalula yung 21 dining ateliers! definitely much better than the old one.

and oh, there's the cheese room! heaven!
