Good and Affordable Buffet in Metro Manila Hotels Thread 2

^^may sashimi sa 7 corners when we ate about 2 weeks ago. i was able to try salmon and uni. nag-ask lang ako sa chef kung meron tapos yun, binigyan niya ko.

blue-purple: Curious din ako sa buffet ng Oakwood. Kaya lang ayoko na muna mag-try ng bagong buffet, baka masayang lang uli pera ko pag hindi masarap.

I'll stick na lang muna sa mga institusyon na hotel buffets, hehe.

definitely better than Circles.

I like the buffet of spirals and Heat.  I think they are the best amongst the rest offering buffet.  Even if they are a bit pricey, sulit naman everytime I dine in their restaurants.  So its not just about the price but also quality  for me

@caterpillar-girl, my husband and I go back again and again to 7 Corners. The selection is well-edited.  Ayokong sobrang dami like Spiral and Paseo Uno pero hindi naman masarap 50% of the choices.      May sashimi in 7 Corners, in the seafoods and Japanese station specifically.

Hi marose17, loball, and purple_girl! Ok talaga sa 7 Corners no? At first I wasn’t expecting much, kasi hindi naman sila kasing high profile ng Heat or Spiral, pero I was pleasantly surprised. Tama, not as big and as overwhelming as the others, but mas well thought out yung choices at mas maraming masarap.

My fiance and I should have asked siguro the server kung may sashimi. We didn’t notice kasi and everytime we passed, parang wala, and nagkataon din na wala yung server, so we just let it go. Oh well. We still had a good experience and we’re planning to go back soon.

Argh, nang-aakit Deal Grocer. May Market Cafe deal sila, Friday/Saturday dinner, P1,300. Mahilig pa naman ako sa steak at seafood!

My husband and I dined at Escolta last night.  For people like me who do not like being overwhelmed with a lot of choices, this is a good buffet.  It's not for those who definitely want a spread that is all encompassing.

I liked the smoked salmon and tanigue, salmon sashimi, risotto, prime rib, roast turkey, ice cream (kapeng barako and chocolate are must try flavors) and chocolate fudge cake.  The cappuccino was very good.

I did not really care for the freshly-prepared Caesar salad or the lechon kawali raved about by a famous blogger.

Service was very good.  I also like the fact that the acoustics of Escolta make it possible not to hear what people from nearby tables are talking about.

Husband and I really like Escolta; siguro hindi kasi overwhelming ang choices. It's not as expensive as other high-end restos.  The gelatos are really good. 

Another plus is they have different themes every week (?).  We tried the Swedish theme and Asian theme.

Sarap nga ng ice cream at Escolta, especially kapeng Barako.  And of all hotel buffets, pinakagusto ko ang coffee nila.

less than 2k ang per person sa crowne, i think. my team lead had a voucher kasi when we dined there and we paid around 960 each. not sure how much ang rate for kids. i think merong deal sa dealgrocer ngayon, 1350 ata with drinks na.

had lunch at heat yesterday. parang same selection pa din nung last time na kumain ako dun,  2009 pa yun. na sad ako kasi walang lechon, pero may rib eye naman, lobsters and crabs. ang liit din ng tempura nila. am looking din for walnuts to add sa salad, pero almonds lang nakita ko.
