Ladies.. I'm coming to Philippines this summer time.. 1 lang ang fertility clinic kc dito sa winnipeg.. i only have 2 months of vacation.. and I had 2 ectopic pregnancies na.. 1 na lang ovary ko so ang option ko na lang is IVF. Ok naman ang cycle ko. I just want to know if madami na kayong narining na successful stories sa Kato and do they accept new patients?.. minsan kc limited lang ang tinatangap nila.. also if there's  any prep work that i need to do? thanks po sa lahat ng sasagot..

Hi sis, depende po talaga siguro sa history mu. Importante po siguro HSG for the last 6months. Yun po hiningi sa akin. Hsg is done on ur cd8.

Hi girls.. Newbie here po... Mom of 1.. 11 na girl ko.. PCOS with one tube left due to ectopic pregnancy.. Kaya we opted for ivf na din... Done with LIT session na din and currently injecting heparin and taking aspirin..  I just got the news yesterday that my bhcg reflects that im positive na... Hopefully magtuloy tuloy... Last year kasi failed ivf na ako after few weeks of increasing bchg level bigla nalang nag stop..  In kato din... Just want to ask moms out there or who have successful stories kung what did you do? Ako kasi bed rest most of the time.. Sorry po kung magulo story ko.. Hehe

I just want to share na we will all go to different procedure talaga. Siempre depende sa situation.

I convinced a friend to go - just for a consultation - they finally did.
Right on that first check up, timing na ovulating siya.
Doctors decided egg retrieval and they agreed. Sperm collection was done - and boom, they're now pregnant.

So they skipped all blood test and ultrasound during the first few days of the cycle.

Hi, sis! I am one of the successful patients of Kato. My baby is now 7 months old. Maganda din ang success rate nila lately, although hindi talaga ito ang basehan kasi maraming factors din ang dapat i-consider. For the most part, it depends on your body's reaction to all the meds and procedures, and of course yung spermies ni hubby din. Anyone is welcome in Kato, as far as I know, there is no age or any limits as long as gusto itry ng patient. You may want to attend the clinic's monthly seminar/orientation to be more enlightened about its procedures and methods (check their website for sched), or you can go to the clinic on your Cycle Day 2 for first consultation. No need for prep work as long as you and hubby are healthy and haven't had any health problems that could affect your IVF journey.

papatake ba ang wife ko ng tests for APAS? kasi baka meron si misis tapos mag IVF kami eh sayang lang kasi di naman matutuloy ang pregnancy pag may APAS di ba kasi kinakain ng dugo ang fertilized egg?

~They work as a team at iisa ang protocol/method nila based sa result ng tests mo, so kahit sino ang mag handle sa iyo eh okay lang. All three doctors can perform sonogram/ultrasound, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer.

~It depends sa condition mo. During my time, not recommended ng embryologist ng Kato ang bed rest after embryo transfer. Do normal activities (but avoid strenuous ones). Movement helps with blood circulation, especially in the uterus which is important for successful implantation and embryo development. Ang no-no of course is magbuhat ng mabigat at exercise na magko-cause ng contraction.
~Prior to your IVF cycle, it is recommended to take folic acid. Nag take din ako ng CoQ10 for better egg quality (ideal is to take it for 3 months prior to egg retrieval). Also, acupuncture also played a big role in the success of my IVF.

Ilang days bago malaman na pregnant ka na and Ilang days bago malaman kung ready na yung body mo for the next cycle?
~Kung natural IVF ang protocol sa iyo, 2-day embryo transfer ang gagawin and 10 days after that yung first Bhcg test (blood test to confirm pregnancy).
~If with minimal stimulation ang protocol sa iyo, yung first month ang egg retrieval and sa susunod pa na month yung embryo transfer (or kung kailan mo gusto, basta hindi the same month ng egg retrieval). This is to give chance to your body to "heal" and recover from the meds. Blastocyt transfer ito and 5 days after that yung first Bhcg test.

Do I need any recommendations from my OB sa pinas or pwedeng walk in or set ng appointment with them?
~Walk-ins are welcome. But it's also good to make an appointment. If gusto mo na mag start with your IVF, go there on your cycle day 2. Blood tests will be done on you and sperm analysis naman kay hubby. But if mag iinquire lang muna kayo, you can go there any day you want. Better check na lang Kato's website for clinic scheds.

Are the doctors staff nice and friendly?
~No worries, everyone is nice! Super alaga ka doon.

Do they rush you in to make a payment?
~You pay what you are due after each consultation. Prepare P15k-20k for your first consultation. This amount includes all the initial tests and consultation fee if you go there on your cycle day 2. If you decide to proceed with the IVF after your first consultation, you will be oriented with the succeeding procedures and the corresponding expenses, so makakapag prepare ka. The clinic also accepts credit card payment.

I would love to meet you, sis. But Baguio-based na ako with my family (our hometown). We gave up our jobs in Manila after ng Kato consultations ko (after confirming pregnancy). Full time mom and housewife na ako now. Hope to see you though if mag invite ang Kato sa anniversary nila in May. =)

Last january we attended kato's symposium, the clinic and staff are all nice...ask ko lang po yung mga sis natin who have been to kato if IVF agad ang next step after the first consultation? Do they give us a time to think if we want to proceed to the next step?

^ hi sis momofchamp. we  attended the symposium last july 2014 and availed of their free consultation pero ngayon lang kami ngdecide na mgpa ivf. they gave us time to decide naman plus may inayos pa kasi sa immune issues ko. hopefully next cycle, itutuloy na namin.

^ di pa kami nagpalab test that time sis. consultation lang with doc perillo. i gave her our previous records tapos in explain nya yun options namin at binigyan kami ng list ng expenses.
