Hi sisterettes, i just want to update you about my egg retrival... Out ofthe potential 3, 2 lang nakuha kasi yung isa kong ovary mahirap maabot, and both eggs were immature, luckily nag mature via in vitro maturation pero yung isa parang may "crack" so hindi nag fertilize, and the other, abnormally shaped. Umabot sa day 5 but stopped growing at day 6 and declared "arrest". Ang masakit pa nito, i was out of the country working, so i did overseas calls lang and ganun pa ang news...
You know, its my first try at IVF and although im willing to try it again (down the drain na nga lang yung P160knamin), it makes me think if I should do it again and if ever, when? Im already nearing 38years of age and i realize hindi na siguro magaganda ang eggs ko (basag and oblong shaped). Baka naman hopeful lang ako pero sa totoo lang wala nang chance....I really wish I tried IVF earlier...
Anyway, i just wanted to share this experience with you. Not trying to dissuade you, but these are facts. If ever Ill try again, Id do it with Kato kasi hindi ila binoombard and katawan mo ng gamot to produce more eggs. In the end, it only takes one.

Hi mga sis! Update lang po regarding my IUI at kato. This morning i had my hssg done and i honestly did not feel much pain during the actual procedure. Probably because the painkillers (buscopan & ponstan)  i took were still in effect. And so i thought it was a piece of cake..until the meds subsided...i took another round of painkillers when the pain when the cramping was getting more painful but they no longer work their magic! I'm still in pain after several hours and i can't even walk properly. It's almost similar to dysmenorrhea only it's really really severe. Haist...nwei, enough about my hssg experience.
I had another blood extraction to check my hormones co's dr. Mendiola found 1 dominant follicle in my right ovary. He also gave me the nasal spray to be used later at 10:30. After which we'll go back to kato on saturday morning for IUI. For today, we spent a total of 8,900 for hssg, consultation, hormones test, and the nasal spray (which costs 3,000 per bottle)

Qtxtn=i cant help to reply  sorry sa mga sis natin hopefully walang magalit..i tried kato din last year october.2eggs were harvested both got fertilized but yung isa on the first day abnormal splitting kaya inistop na nila yung isa kaya isa nalang natira but di rin sha umabot day 4 palang nag arrest nasha kaya walang na transfer sakin...then decemeber 2012 we went to taiwan for ivf na 16eggs were harvested 11got fertilized  3 embryos were transfered day 3 lang sis 2grade ab and 1cd.may 2frozen blastocyst kaming ntira..sa taiwan kase pag si maganda grade thwy dont keep it... thank God sis im now pregnant na with twins nalampasan narin namin ang fisrt trimester 13weeks 3days nako today...hopefully kung san kaman mag decide to do your next ivf sis sana successful na mahirap kase emotionally anf fenancially hindi madali pinag dadaanan natin..goodluck sis and sa mga ibang sisis natin dito..baby dust and Godbless!

Wala ng doctot's fee no consultation fee. That's all i needed to pay. Sana mabuo na si baby... magic baby dust to us all! God bless!

Hi sis sa taichung taiwan kami sis under dra maw sheng lee..sa alice hotel kami nag stay for 5weeks..im currently 21weeks na today and im having boy and a girl :)i just had my CAS ng tuesday and thank God they both healthy and perfect

hi bebetty30.. di pa kami nag papa IUI..blocked and left tube ko.. actually parehas blocked, nabuksan lang yung right tube nung nag pa hystero ako.. ang nakakasama pa ng loob nitong last cycle ko, nag ovulate ako sa left ovary.. narinig nyo na ba mga sis ang FUYAN PILL? may nakatry na po ba?

To those who had IVF w/ Kato, after you consultation on the 3rd day of menses when is the next appointment if you already start your IVF cycle?
I'm based in the province. We're set to go to Manila on my cd3 per advice of Kato. I'm wondering if I should book a return flight after 2 days or do we need to stay in Manila for a week or 2? When do you start the hormone tests & Utz? I understand the transfer is on the next cycle after the harvest. Pls help...

Hi mrs. trish on my case it's CD 3, 10, 12, 14 then my retrieval was on day 16. Kato's very strict with hormone levels so they are asking you to come back more often (but I guess that's my case) everything would really depend on how you'll respond to the medicines.

Both hormones and TVUs are done on the CDs above... But on the day of retrieval they'll check if the hormone levels are correct before they'd pursue the harvest.

hi! its my first time to share.... i had my harvest yesterday at Kato... they were able to retrieve 5 eggs... out of 5, there are 3 that matured... the other 2 did not make it..

i still have to call tom and the next few days to ask how my other 3 eggs are doing... i hope and pray that they will make it to blastocyst.

We are on our (FET) transfer month now. Im praying for a our little one(s)..

36y.o. couple, 10yrs married, diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

Female Factor: PCOS, mild endometriosis ( removed through pelvic laparoscopy 2008 by dra Eileen Manalo)

Male Factor: Oligospermia

Previous Treatments: 8 IUI (Dra Ilao-Oreta (1), Dra Eileen Manalo (6), Dra Irene Sy (1) - all yielding to negative results

IVFTaiwan, Lee Women's Clinic Sept 17, 2007 : Failed IVF (same cycle transfer~ felt overstimulated)

~37 follicles, 11 embryos, 3 transferred (Day5 Blastocyst stage) ~ 8embryos left in Taiwan

On our IVF Journey with KATO:
June 16, 2013: Oocytes pick-up of 9 eggs

June 26, 2013: 7 Blastocyst embryos (includes 2gradeAs, some Grade Bs, & Grade Cs)

July 2, 2013: CD3 <transfer month>

hi hopeful143, is this your first IVF with Kato? goodluck to both of us.  Hoping & Praying that there will be a successful embryo transfer & an implantation success.. Hopefully sometime soon, we could hold our dream baby in our arms.

Yes its my first time at Kato. There were 2 blastocyst that was frozen. .. will be giving myself 2 months or less  to loose weight before we proceed with transfer. i should have lost weight before the ivf procedure but i felt the need to have the harvest first coz of age. ey we are both the same age.   pls do update us of your transfer.

Lets stand with each other in praying for a successful transplant and eventually normal/ healthy babies.
