Hi mga sis, im new here but I want to share my experience with Kato as well.
I just came from KATO this morning for my CD3 hormone tests and Antral Follicle count. I was kind of sad since 3 follicles lang nakita and my FSH is high (17.. Anyway, Dr Richie Mendiola says, we can proceed.

BTW, I saw couples this morning na nasa 2-digits pa yung numbers and nalungkot naman ako for them kasi it means they could have been trying with Kato for a long time na rin. I told myself we just have to do this IVF and no expectations...pero hindi eh, there are days you feel positive (that's the first time I met Dr Mendiola) and some days negative (like today because of my Follies and FSH). Well sabi ng ang husband ko, look at it as a glass half-full. I have to admit, nung nabasa ko yung kwento ni somedaymom, nabuhayan ako ng loob. When its time, ibibigay talaga yung gusto mong baby.

Anyway, Im going to go back to kato this sunday D6 kasi I ovulate early. So mga sis, better if you have a history of your ovulation kasi baka ma-miss niyo. Nagadjust naman si Dr Mendiola when I told him.

Last comment: I really like their ultrasound room. Talagang pinagisipan no? No need to hop on the bed, may curtain na mejo see through sa may tiyan mo, and may TV so you can see what's going on inside, may napkin and slippers. I like the relaxing environment, so conducive to conceiving (haha chos)!

What does that mean na mataas ang fsh? Ano normal limits nun?
Do not loose hope sis baka gaya din tayo ni sis somedaymom! Sana malapit na!

May minimal stimulation ka ba sa kato.?
Please post kung how much mga nagastos mo?

from what i've heard kato is very strict when it comes to hormone levels before mag transfer.  Ask ko lang mga sis if pwede ba na hindi minimal stimulation? TIA

Sis OT may link for HSG here. But to answer that HSG is usually done at CD3-5.

Sis betty hsg is done on cd 8 to make sure na wala kanang mens..i had that procedure twice na..goodluck

Hi sis, normal range is below 11. Mine is 17.6 so mataas yun. it only means nahihirapan na body ko mag release ng follies kaya produce ng produce ng FSH para mas madaming magawang follies.

Thanks for your reply, I hope the same for us. Again, its God's will, so sa Kaniya ko na ipinagpapaubaya ito.

Just an update: I just unsurely sprayed correctly my Suprecure / Buserelin (parang Pregnyl) and Im scheduled for egg retrieval on Friday morning (Mar 1) and 2-3 follicles ang sana ma-harvest. yung 3rd follie kasi nasa 10mm pa lang today. Then they'll check if the follicles have eggs inside, they'll ask my hubby to collect.

Re Cost: just before retrieval, after my 4th session today, nasa 40k na gastos namin for minimal stimulation. Dr Mendiola pegged P260,000 for everything for min stim IVF.

sis qtxtn...good luck sa egg retrieval mo....hope na everything goes positive and according to plan...as for me still waiting pa din matapos ang 2 cycles ng pills..after nun pa lang kami makaka proceed if ever may ma produce na follies...so aroun 3rd week ng march pa siguro yun...nakaka inip mag hintay..retrieval pa lang yun ha..good luck sayo sis

Sis miko, magttry palang ako sa kato. I just started my clomid intake. But they will still have to check my fallopian tubes. Pre-requisite daw sa IUI yun. This thurs, i'll have the test done. If the result is ok, we'll proceed with IUI this sat.

Sis lei_glee, meron po sila. Kahit sa website nila nakalagay that they offer iui. I just started taking clomid last saturday. For 10 days daw un sabi ni dr. Mendiola. Tapos folic acid na din. But prior to that, i also had the screening tests similar w/ivf. Yung 5 hormones test, saka infectious diseases. (STD tests) and hepa na din ata. Yun po. Tapos check din nila fallopian tubes ko this thurs via HSSG. If everything goes out well, proceed with IUI this saturday na din. Ok sa kato sis. Mababait mag staffs and maganda facilities.

Ah ok sis i really thought ivf lang sila. Kwento mo sis ang iui protocol mo ha, meds mo and day by day na ginagawa mo for iui? Para macompare din namin sa ibang doctor na iui protocol.

1st visit:

2nd visit:
Follow-up consultation- 560 (yan na yung price lagi ng consultation for subsequent visits)
Clomiphene citrate- (10 tablets) 1,960
Ultrasound-560
5 Hormones test- (estradiol, progesterone, LH, FSH, B-hcg) 7,280
Infectious diseases screening - 2,520 (x2 kasi pati si hubby kinuhanan. So bale 5,040)
Mock transfer (chineck yung cervix ko kung madaling mag transfer during ivf or iui procedure) 1,680

Ayan po lahat gastos namin for our 2 visits palang. This thurs, not sure how much gagastusin but i'll keep you posted.  😊

  parang interesting tong iui sa kato.. kasi db nag iivf din sila baka mas marami sila na success story ng iui..

Sis lei_glee, welcome. I actually replied to ur previous post but it didn't go thru. IUI ako sa kato sis. Sabi ni dr. Mendiola, pag nag fail, proceed with ivf na by july. Ipon pa kami konti for that. Mas mahal eh. I'll update you uli mga sis this thurs. about sa HSSG ko and other expenses.
And about IUI na pala, based sa mga nabasa ko, usually 5-20% ang success rate per cycle. Sabi din nila couples usually get pregnant within 3 cycles ata. Pero kami kasi, naghahabol na. 30 na din ako. For some reason, i'm not very hopeful with Our IUI but of course i'm really praying for it to be successful. Sana ibigay ni lord. Kung hindi, nakakalungkot din but we're gonna have to try another option to get pregnant. Yun lang po. Gudnyt mga sis! God bless!
