We wish to inform you that Instacard is a secured credit card. You must have
a time deposit to avail of the said card.

Should you wish to apply for a secured/instacard, just visit the nearest
RCBC branch to open a Time Deposit and fill-up an application form. The
application form together with the original Deed of Assignment of Time
Deposit must be submitted to us to process your application for a credit
card. The amount you have deposited will be the assigned credit limit of
your card.

We will be more than glad to process your application once received.

di ko pa nawiwithdraw ang hold-out deposit ko sa secured CC. naka-one year na rin ako sa BPI CC. balak kong pataasan muna yung deposit para mataas ang CC limit ko bago ako magrequest na alisin ang hold-out.

tip ko lang sa mga gustong kumuha ng secured CC... try nyong i-aim ang minimum of 15k na approved credit limit para qualified kayong mag-apply sa ibang banks ng regular CC kapag naka-one year na kayo. For example yung BPI usually 80% ng hold-out deposit sa secured CC, kaya dapat ang value ng hold-out is P 18,750 and above.

kumuha kasi ako ng mga CC application forms sa iba-ibang bangko... pero di ko rin matuloy kasi karamihan required nila ang 15k minimum na credit limit sa existing CCs.

nag apply na ko for a secured CC today sa BPI, ang ginawa nila is passbook account then maiiwan lang sa kanila yung passbook ko..

^ one year yan na maiiwan sis. tapos dapat may hawak kang papeles nun.

sa akin pinarelease ko na ang hold-out ko kahapon. sana maapprove. ang tinitignan nila doon ay yung payment history. kailangan walang late payments para malaki ang chance na i-release nila ang hold-out deposit.

^wala sila binigay na papeles sa kin, yung deposit slip lang, i enrolled it sa online account ko para lang maview ko siya.. hehe..

^ I think wala nang papeles yan. Ganyan sa mom ko e, regular deposit lang ginawa nila. Konti lang ang interest kasi regular savings lang siya. Yung sakin kasi TD kaya may TD certificate siya.

bakit ganun, walang paper sa iyo? bakit iba-iba ang mga BPI branches? hindi mahigpit siguro sa branch mo?

sa akin meron. "Security Receipt" ang tawag. may nakalagay na "not negotiable" sa gitna ng papel. yun ata ang ginagamit pag may collateral na kinukuha (sa case ng secured CC, yung passbook savings account ang collateral).

tingin ko mas maganda kung may papeles. just in case lang na magkaroon ng problema.

^yun nga eh, kaya i was aking her kanina kung ano ibibigay sa akin, yung deposit slip lang daw, dapat siguro balikan ko yun bukas and ask for a Security Receipt..
