Hello mga sis!
Share naman kayo ng mga free videos ng nursery rhymes.
I'm searching for clear videos of Barney, baka may ma-share kayo.  Blurred kasi yung nakikita ko na Barney videos. Specially yung I love you ng Barney.

So far, nakapag download na ako ng several nursery rhymes ng Hoopla Kidz.  Gusto ko yung Hoopla Kidz kasi yung tunes nila ay yung conventional ones then very clear din ang videos nila.  Plus automatic umuulit yung songs lalo na kung maiikli lang naman.

Ang bilis ni baby maka-grasp ng nursery rhymes.  I show her 3favorites everyday, namely, ABC, Incy Wincy saka Twinkle Twinkle.  Everytime mag-start, bungisngis na sya at sipa ng sipa!

^yung panganay ko 7 months nagstart magwatch ng barney, ang dami nyang barney dvd... baby ko naman ngayon 3 months nakikinood na sa cartoons ni kuya..

malinaw ba yung brainy baby? i think bumili narin ako nung einstein na pirated dvd, pagdating sa house, blurred/ pixelated eh.
May na-download ako na ABC - Barney, naku, parang 30min yun i-play.  Yun malinaw!

TV exposure is highly discouraged specially for babies below 2 as it can trigger ADHD etc.

^ with all due respect, but i think the link to ADHD was later on corrected?  Parang no scientific backing? Im not sure din ha.

AAP discourages tv for very young babies is more about human interaction kasi. Mas kelangan ang personal or human interaction ng babies. Kung baga, dont replace human interaction with tv viewing.  And if parents cannot totally eliminate tv, limit lang daw to 2 hrs a day.

^not so sure but my aunt who's a pedia in US is the one who advised me about this even before i gave birth.  on top of that, i've also seen the effects of early exposure to tv with my SIL that's why i also believe that there's a truth to it

That's my concern too. I read about how babies are over stimulated by the moving pictures and it can cause delay of speech pa daw since walang ka interact ang baby.that's why i stopped showing him nursery rhyme videos although im really tempted to play it once in a while cos the music entertains him and pag umiiyak once i play it he stopped crying.

i let my baby watch video apps na download ko sa iphone ko lang. pero i dont let him watch sa tv, di rin nya kase gusto.

^^you can try letting him listen to nursery rhymes. i usually play kids gospel, nursery rhymes, veggie tales songs to my baby. as in buong araw yan. night time it's his classical music. he can't sleep without it kasi.

what i do before is i learn the songs myself. and then saka ko kinakanta sa kanya. since matuto sya magsalita, he was able to sing the songs on his own na. i would strongly advise na basahan nyo rin ng books si baby. according to what i've read from books, the success of a kid in school depends greatly on how many books he has read or been read to before he enters school. or something to that effect.

^agree on the books. my boy usually gets his board books instead of his toys then he'll give it to me for me to read it out loud for him

--yan nung mga below 1 yr old up to now 2 yrs old na son ko enjoy nya panoorin yan plus ofcourse his new faves every now and then na mga characters like napapanood nya sa DIsney, nick, etc...

now that my son can talk, pinapapanood ko na rin cya nung Baby Sign Language..wala lang, additional stuff lang para sa kanya to improve his action skills. ayaw ko kasi ipanood sa kanya before ito baka magdependent nalang sa action and madelay naman ang speech. :|

yung phonics song na, A ah Apple, B buh Ball etc..

So how can i get him more interested in books rather than in videos. My 6 month old loves nursery rhyme videos so much! As in when he's watching he's acting like he's dancing and very excited about it. Kapag may gagawin ako lagay ko lang siya sa playpen with ipad ok na siya. Sorry if OT.
