Visa on arrival pa rin ba rito for Pinoys?

I'm wondering about this too; I'm also interested to go to Georgia. I even wrote to the email posted on their Ministry of Foreign Affairs website to ask but did not receive a reply.

I recently sent an email again, this time to their consulate here in the Philippines. This is the prompt reply I received from the consul himself:

You have reached the Consulate of Georgia in the Philippines. I am please to inform you that visas are available upon arrival for Filipinos in Georgia. I do advise you, however, to prepare a letter of invitation for your delegate from a party in Georgia. Sometimes, immigration authorities in Tbilisi ask for that.

So I guess Georgia is visa-on-arrival for Filipinos, but there is still a chance we will be denied entry if we fail to produce a Letter of Invitation from someone in Georgia.

^If you're staying in a hotel, you can probably request them to send you an invitation letter/booking confirmation. If you're renting an apartment, you can ask the landlord to provide you one.

Yup, this is what the consul said when I asked him about it:

Yes a letter from the hotel or hostel would suffice.

Been to Tbilisi before. All I can remember is their amazing food. Khinkhali and khachaphuri for the win! But the place is very beautiful in a unique way. Amazing!

I once met a Georgian (he's pogi btw because they look like a mix of caucasian and middle eatern features. ^_^) and when I found out he's Georgian at first I thought he was referring to Atlanta, Georgia in U.S. but found out it's actually near Russia?
I did a research and mukhang maganda nga sa Georgia. The guy even told me that when his sister visits him, they usually have tea. It sounded sosyal. Haha!
Anyways, the place really looks beautiful and is also in my bucket list. I'm just curious if it's expensive to travel there.

Tbili is a nice place in terms of the people and nature...Mababait ang tao yun nga lang they do not speak English...its like "hilaw na Europe" , it is somewhat Europe style but not quite. Kase yung mga Buildings Tblisi are old, there are few New ones sa Rustavalli.

Andun kami last October and we stayed for 11 days ata.

Madami kami napuntahan and super tipid kami. Sa Bed and Breakfast kami nag stay kase budgeted nga. Tapos we rented cars to go to Khaketi.

Georgia is a small country but it has everything. Kung gusto mu ng snow meron sila, kung gusto mu ng dessert meron sila, beach or mountains lahat meron. If you are tired of the city and loves Nature, you will def enjoy Georgia. at ang mura ng bilihin, parang they do not 100gel or 200 gel everyday..ang mga tao nagugulat pag inabutan mu ng buong papel. Kase nga mura ang bilihin. Me eenjoy mu siya kung hindi ka maarte, like mag cocomute ka at sasakay sa hindi aircondition na kotse. Luma ang mga kotse dito at parang mejo huli sila sa modernization. Pero kung katulad ko ikaw na sawang sawa na sa mga modernong lugar (nasa Dubai ako eh) Im sure you will enjoy this place.

Do not forget to eat Kachapuri and perssimon, mahal yan dito, sa Georgia napaka mura.

^sis JINJIN i super agree! I went to Georgia last April and i loved it! Well lahat naman ng new places love ko. Hehe.

It's visa on arrival for Filipinos. I paid usd 35 lang. It's so easy! You just fill up a form then pay then you get your visa. Ang dali!

We also went to Batumi which is like their summer vacation place kaso last April ang lamig pa kaya parang ghost town pa sya. Ok sana kase it's on the black sea coast and maganda yung boardwalk overlooking the Black Sea kaso yun nga, ang lamig. hehe.

We went to Mt. Kazbegi to see the Gergeti Trinity Church atop the mountain tapos backdrop is the snowy Caucasus Mountain range. Ay grabe, amazing talaga! Parang nasa Amazing Race ako. Also went to their wine region, Kakheti at nag wine tasting tour. Must do!

Sis yes I spent one night in Dubai so I got a visa via Emirates c/o my sister who works there. Nung pauwi via dubai hindi na ko lumabas ng airport kase expired na visa ko. In Georgia, very simple and easy ang VOA, walang hihingin na docs. You just have to fill up a form sa immigration desk and pay usd 35

Filipino passport holders are eligible to apply for an e-visa. It's so convenient and cheap, everything is done online and the application costs 50 USD only.

Anyone been recently? Please share your itinerary.

We are group friends of about 6-8, we will be doing a 3D/3N stay.

1 day will surely be a visit to a snowpark like Gauduri, what is the best way to go there? I find it cheaper to commute, pay at the entrance, and stay for the day. As with tour offers, you may have to pay more, but madami naman dadaanan pa na sites to see.

Hi, really interested to visit georgia.. actually i only learned na may country na Georgia because of a church gathering ang theme ay national costumes of different  countries and Georgia yung naassign sa amin.. parang ang sarap puntahan ng Georgia kasi bihira lang yung mga nagttravel don.
