^wow 20 yrs

Mahirap nga ang usapang pera. Very high level lang like investment instruments, insurance companies, banks na ok ang service and rates.

Depende sa friends.. I have circle of friends na wala sa isip ang investment.. Sa kanila, never pa ko nag open ng about sa investment. Kasi tama yung sinabi ni sis Oreo08, baka isipin na nagyayabang, or baka dumating yung time na mabored sila sakin. LOL. I also have friends na mahilig din sa investment. sila yung madalas ko sinasamahan, of course, mas masarap makipag-usap sa mga tao na the same kayo ng goals and plans. At mas nakaka encourage mag save and invest kung may nakakausap na mahilig din magsave and invest.

I remembering a book I read by Robert Kiyosaki about choosing the people you're spending your time with. That if you want to be rich, you have to spend your time with rich people, or those people who have the same vision as yours. It's true, kasi, if ang sasamahan mo are those people na magastos, mapapagastos ka din. But if you'll choose to spend time with those who love investing/saving, maeencourage ka din gawin yun.  ;)

ive started to share "why it's good to invest rather save in bank" to my friends and teammates. feeling ko kasi i need to pay it forward and i also need to educate them. im thankful sa housemate ko at kinulit nya ko magstocks.

anyway, ive mentioned this to them once, kasi baka makulitan sila. you know, uso pa naman ang networking ngayon feeling nila ayun agad purpose ko. haha!

Saan kami nagkamali, credit card horror stories, etc.
favorite ko din imention yan to motivate my younger teammates: "my regret was not to invest when I was younger" ;)

Hmmm just one sentence tipong related to one topic lalabas yung
"may stocks kami diyan, ok naman"
"ah ok"
then we move on haha!

We're all responsible enough to handle our finances so I guess hindi kinailangan kahit kelan. Nobody is in debt, not in financial institutions, CCs etc. Pag nagutangan kami it's just because walang barya then after a few hours babalik na.
Kung meron man depleted money due to emergencies, hindi lang sila lalabas then we catch up once ok na.

Yes, with my very close friends. I share about saving tips - pano ko mag-ipon for travel and retirement. How much I give sa donations, gifts sa birthdays, binyag & weddings and abuloys. I also encourage them to be invested sa stockmarket (via mutual fund, VUL or stocktrading) but stress out that may risk talaga involved. It will depend sa risk appetite and priorities ng tao. I explain kung bakit majority ng portfolio ko ay nasa ganitong investment, pero sabi ko wag ako kopyahin if they don't think it is right for them.

It is nice to share insights with other people. Swerte lang din ako siguro that that my close friends are on the frugal side. But sa iba, I tend to keep my thoughts to myself. Baka lumabas na mayabang or pwede akong utangan.

I also share these with my sisters. I think I have to influence my inner circle of family and friends kasi ayoko na mag-utangan kami someday. I don't want to be in a place either that I have to bail them out (or they bail me out), if needed. :o

i talk about financial investments, dreams and goals with my brothers. they encouraged me to read rich dad by RK about a year and a half ago, after that, namulat yung mata ko about financial education. pinabasa ko din sya kay fiance at that time. and after that, nahilig na kami magbasa basa...

a year after we started UITF and stocks, when i looked at our portfolio... worth 100k+. imagine kung hindi kami nag invest, san napunta tong 100k na to? sa night out..? sa unnecessary expenses?  :o

hindi ako makapag hikayat ng ofcmates or friends, kasi puro gala and gastos ang alam nila... lunch out dito, after office dun. samantalang ako madalas nagbabaon. kung hindi naman eh less than 100 lang budget ko sa isang araw kasama pa pamasahe. :D and its true that its nice to share insights with other people, i wish i had friends na ganto na din ang pananaw. so i keep it to my self, my hubby & my brothers... maganda sana kung makahanap ako ng mentor. :)

I discuss financial planning and investing to friends, family members and even people I meet online :)

It's because of this nonstop talking, blogging and sharing that my younger brother started investing at the age of 14. I'm so proud of him :)

No, I don't. If ever one of my close friends will initiate the topic, I'll answer but in general lang, nothing too specific.

I only discuss our loans in general but nothing too specific..if they ask thats it. Pero pag assets..NO.  I dont know but I dont want them to think na super yaman ako or whatever. I always downplay our status. I want them to think na I have a lot of obligations para iwas utang. Im like that with my family as well. Ayoko kasi ng inuutangan...unless may interest. :P

I have 2 officemates na gustong gusto ko kausap kapag ganito ang topic. Madalas we share ideas and tips on how we can save more and we encourage each other to improve our budgeting skills.

THIS. Need I say more? Lol. I feel you sis. Tatanungin ka tapos pag nag advise ka, mamasamain. Ang labo lang.

we seldom discuss this, as rarely as religion...

ako hanggat maaari ayoko pagusapan ito, may isang friend lang akong sobrang kulit niya tinatanong how much i earn in a month... i gave her unimaginable amount, lower than the exact figures haha para lang tumigil...

General topics lang -- how to save, investments, ganyan. No figures. Hindi naman kelangan magsabihan kung magkano. Natutuwa ako sa mga college barkada ko na halos sabay sabay talaga kami nagmature, be it sa career, or personal lives namin. Kaya masaya makipag usap sa kanila about finances eh. Kasi relatable.

I like sharing ideas with friends but sometimes I feel like I'm the only one sharing. They do have their own investments but they are really quiet about it. :(
