Not really. Halimbawa, tatanungin ko kung me insurance na sila ng family nya then she won't reply back. Parang ayaw pag-usapan. Or pag nagkwekwento ako, she will ignore me basta weird. Life/health Insurance at investment meron kami.

nope, ayoko mgbigay ng unsolicited advice sa friends about money. ayoko den kase magmarunong sa kanila to think na i'm still in the learning process. ayoko den magmukha may pera, di mo alam kung friends mo pa ba sila or nag-iintay lang ng kung ano. but if they ask my opinion, i would gladly share my thoughts/lessons about money, but not me mag-initiate ng topic.

but little sis ko sinasabihan ko talaga about finances since ngwork na since feeling ko duty ko as a big sis to guide her.

Me, I talked --well, tried to talk -- to my family about this, my ate, my kid bro and my closest pinsan.

Si pinsan kasi has 3 kids, 6, 3 and 1 so I thought, dude, gusto mo ng mutual funds? SUNLIFE kasis ako and in 2 years I earned mga 44,000 na, which is quite okay in my books dahil wala akong mapapala sa interest ng saving deposit ng banko ko, BDO.

Ayaw ni pinsan dahil natatakot siya what would happen if they needed money quick, baka mapenalize pa siya for withdrawing early or something. Haaayy. I love her to bits but masyado siyang nagcli-cling to safe bets.

My frustration comes from the fact na I was like that too, so I got out and LEARNED, it wasn't that hard. Nag COL seminars ako, nag-research, bumili ng stocks. Ha, first dividends ko P3.60 sa MCI, tapos mga P60 from MER. Little by little, one travels far.

I just wished they would be open to learning with me, ayaw ko din kasi mahirapan sila in the future with money.

^ just wish meron ako family member na ganyan  to guide you financially. di para magmayabang kung ano meron but to help talaga to open your mind to investing.  me kase, through my own efforts talaga para matuto. meron naman ako matatanungan sa bahay, but puro investing sa real estate. di ko pa naman kaya yun, masyado na malaki. medyo bago sa pandinig ng "working middle class" naman kase yun mga stocks and mf and medyo oldies na so di yun "trip" nilang investment. kaya basa talaga ko dito sa GT, books, blogs, attend seminars, anything helpful. now na medyo nakakapag-start na sa investments i share sa sis ko for her to learn maaga pa lang sa career nya, sayang kase time. sana meron den ngturo nung starting palang ako work. i envy those na meron nag-eeffort na turuan sila. para sa kanila naman den yun.

sa risk, i tell her nalang na kung wala risk wala den gain. just invest and forget.

Sometimes I share it with my co-workes. Plan of investment especially sa mga married co worker. I'm not totally stable in terms of finances since marami din akong binabayaran. I just told my subordinates to save even a petty amount. May isa nga akong katrabaho na sabi niya" she won't save YET kasi bata pa naman sya". I told her that was a big mistake I made in my life na hindi ako nagsave kahit nung bago pa ako nagwork. Even though hndi kalakihan ang sweldo you can still save. What I did now is help them to understand the value of saving/investment. I am the one who shares if may magandang plan sa mga cooperatives like a constants amt to be deposited monthly then non-withdrawable in 5 years bearing an interest rate of 12% per annum which is not bad di ba?

I always advise may brother since kakapsok lang nya sa corporate world to save even a litle amt from his paycheck. Kahit 500/mo it will grow naman. At least at the young age, natutunan nya na ang value ng savings then next step is investment na.

yes, I do discuss finances with my friends. we do share different saving tips, investment scheme to achieve our goals. We even talked about debt/loan payment terms and interest rate - discuss whether it's good or bad debt.

I don't have a set of friends who are open to talking about financial matters, so no. It's frustrating sometimes -- like today, I was super happy about reading a stock's chart correctly and making significant gains in one day, but I had no one to share a high-five with. My core group of friends, they're all talented in cooking and baking, and I'm the only one who hates the kitchen. So when it comes to showing off latest culinary creations, wala ako ma-share. Minsan I try cooking something, and I get a patronizing "wow, good job, keep trying at it and gagaling ka din!". Haha. If only it was as accepted to show off where my real talents lie.

I have 2 officemates/friends na lagi kong pinagsasabihan dahil pareho naman kami ng mga interests like stocks investment and magsavings. Sabay sabay kami nag-open ng acount sa col and I believe they are doing the 52week challenge din as I introduced it to them at natuwa din naman sila.

No. My friends are not interested with financial matters. They prefer spending more so we seldom talk about money related matters and I'm trying to avoid discussing this topic with them since they'd either borrow money from me or they'd urge me to spend more like treat them out or something. Not being a cheapskate here but I prefer living a frugal life haha.  ;)

I try talking about money, but then my friends would think I am inviting them to be my downline. Nega yung most of them. But, I strive to preach by example and I don't money issues right into their faces. Pero, I wish I can do a difference in their lives by introducing to them the importance of being financially literate. I have just recently bagged the name Associate Financial Planner ;) took the exam and stuff and I hope I could influence my friends and family by example.

I wish I have friends who can give me financial advice. I only learned about investment when I read rich dad, poor dad. Then diyan nag-start kaya nagbasa rin ako ng mga threads about investing sa mga forum and blogs. I want to share this to my brother kasi kakastart pa lang niya sa first job niya.

Ako sis I shared with my little brother, so he started investing at age 15 :)

As a financial advisor, I share financial tips with friends and family members all the time. Sometimes, even to complete strangers, because they ask me to also :) It's rewarding, it's fulfilling and it's satisfying to know na at least they're being educated.

I'm comfortable exchanging investing, saving and cash flow monitoring techniques with my CPA friends. We often consult each other about the financial health and direction of certain companies and consider that information in gauging if it's worth it to buy their stocks. We discuss business and passive income ideas as well. What we don't discuss are personal figures, like how much do we have and how much we're going to have.

I don't discuss this with my relatives and friends who are clearly not interested or are sensitive when it comes to finances. I also have a friend na mahilig mangutang and I just tell her that I'm not liquid and the cash I have is already earmarked for something very important (but sometimes she still insists to swipe my CC  :-\). Not that nagdadamot but I think she has a serious spending problem and I don't want to fuel it further. I also can't take na ipahiram my hard-earned money for her to use lang on her luxuries (5-star hotel staycations, travels, etc.) lalo na ang hirap maningil.
