ako sis hindi ko masyado sinasabi lalo na kung savings ang pag uusapan, kasi ang tendency pag sinasabi mo sa kaibigan, is....(sorry kung parang ang dating is madamot, well hindi naman... basta I hope you understand my reason...) uutangan ka, depende pa kung gaano kalaki yung hihiramin, pag tinanggihan mo konti, may tampo or konting galit kasi di ka nagpahiram.... so para safe na lang is wag ko na lang sabihin..

basta pag pera pinag uusapan I learned my lesson from my previous experience, noon I discussed it with my friend, and ayun humiram siya sa akin, the dyahe part is pag naningil na, kakahiya sa part ko yun although its my right to ask for it but still didyahe ako maningil baka sabihin grabe naman di man lang ako maghintay na siya na mag initiate na magbayad.... which I really really hate talaga....

di ko alam kung tama yung paraan ko maybe hindi haha but this is for me the best thing to do para safe ang pera at relationship naming magkaibigan.

i tried discussing it with a friend before. what she told me in return? mag-aasawa naman na daw siya so no need na magsave. yung asawa na daw niya bahala dun. So ang sabi ko naman dapat magsave ka din at wag mo naman iasa sa magiging asawa mo ang lahat. that was the last time we talked about it. ayoko na, haha. besides balak pa niya ako utangan dahil alam niyang nagsesave ako. sabi ko na lang, di pwede dahil nagreremit ako ng pera sa pinas.

i think, we have to discuss this matter sa trusted friends lang natin exercising financial management. tama ka sis superbubly, di sa pagdadamot, kaya lang nakakadala magpautang, ikaw pa mahihirapan maningil. good thing i have friends who has discipline in money and know how to invest.

I do but only when they start it hehe
I have a reputation for being kuripot and
knowing how to invest in the office.

So, I sometimes get questions about
personal finance and investing.

But I never initiate, sakit lang sa ulo.

@superbubly, I'm surprised you have that
problem. I usually say my money is tied up
in various investments and I can't just take
it out.

If they persist, I say I pay a penalty. If they
offer to pay the penalty.. I agree depending
on the situation then I get a colateral, like
cellphone and other gadgets.

So far no one has defaulted yet hehe.
I even get a nice profit from lending =D

And I don't normally seek payment..I just
ask them. Are you planning on paying? I'm
going to sell your cellphone,PSP,etc to recover
my money. Works everytime hehe

I do! but sa trusted/super close friends ko nga lang (2girls)... alam ko rin naman di nila ko uutangan dahil alam ko they are saving on their own:)

ako, masaya ko kapag eto topic namin ng friends ko,usually ako nagiinitiate sa kanila... ako rin taga-push nila to save and save!! sa aming tatlo kasi, ako unang nagkafamily, so parang feeling ko, everything I have learned from being a married woman/mom, I have to share with them, gusto ko matuto na sila kahit di pa nila naeexperience yung mga gastos ng may pamilya. natutuwa lang ako basta mashare ko sa kanila yung mga nababasa ko rin dito :)

Im really happy being part of GT dahil sa mga natututunan ko dito, kaya I really share it to others as well personally, kaya kahit sa mga barkada ko nung college, I really encourage them to manage their finances wisely, alam naman nila di nila ko mauutangan dahil may baby na ko ;D

tama ka sis @bratinella08 kakadala talaga magpautang I swear super!!

BFFs:    We ask each other technical questions related to investments or deals.  Of course, share mo particulars with  the 1 pinagtatanungan mo.  But it is understood hindi na lalabas yon.
Examples:  They ask me a lot about leasing matters.  I ask a friend a lot about taxation for real estate I flip.   Kung sinong may alam, shares -- IF you ask.

We do not talk about what we have, gonna have, etc.  And parepareho kami ng mindset:  Walang utangan!  We will not go into  business/deals together.  But we share contacts.

I do discuss it if they need ideas on how to manage their pay, how to save. I always talk to them if they need a second opinion. I base it only on my personal ideas and experiences because I'm not a business or finance grad naman :p but I have a sense of these things so I'm very flattered they acknowledged that.

One co-worker came to me and whispered that she bought the same exact plastic envelope organizer as mine, because she always sees me budgeting every pay day, putting things in my organizer, organizing my money, which goes where. She said that she was "inspired" to do better with her money. I'm so happy for her, she has just opened her first bank account and her first education plan (she's a single mom) recently from her savings in the organizer. I follow kasi the "envelope method". It works for me, I'm so glad it worked for her.  :)

we discuss insurance [textspeak!] but not really investments as most of our money is 'palabas',(weddings, masteral degrees) no other income except for salary.

Nakakahiya baka isipin nila eh nagyayabang ako...  ;D

Nagpopost ako ng mga artciles sa fb ko then pag may nag ask example re mutual funds, ayan nag bibigay ako ng more info  ;)

i tried discussing it with a friend before. what she told me in return? mag-aasawa naman na daw siya so no need na magsave. yung asawa na daw niya bahala dun.

What if iwanan sya ng asawa nya or mamatay agad ang asawa nya - paano na sya? This reminds me of my college classmate, sabi nya hindi daw sya magwowork sabi ng dad nya (politician) kasi kaya daw naman sya buhayin ng dad nya at maghanap na lang daw ng asawa na kaya syag buhayin... Oh well...  ::)

Ok ka ah nagka instant sideline ka pa!  ;D

I envy you sis - 2-3 lang yata kami may business (and, business-minded) among my friends... lahat employees :(

only to my very close friend, hindi sa lahat. I have yet to save my 1st million waahhhh!!!.

Chaka kung me mangyari sakeng masama at least merong isang taong nakakalam kung ano ang meron ako diba, wala naman kase akong last will and testament hehe.  So apart from that purpose, eh gusto talaga siyang ma inspire na magsimula na. Pareho kaming OFW kase. Hindi naan sana niya naiingit saken at gumawa ng masama in the future.

I do.

Saka alam nila na mahirap mag-utangan between friends.
