hello mga sis i need your inputs please..i'm following kasi yung recipes that comes with the baby bullet. my baby is 6months old and one of the food recommended is Green Peas, so namili ako sa palengke. now i'm worried if tama ba 'yung pinakain ko kay baby..sa picture kasi and from online recipes, frozen peas from the grocery store kasi usual ginagamit...

kayo sis have you tried giving green peas kay baby? where did you buy it and what does it look like specifically? yung nabili ko kasi is hindi masyadong green, unlike sa samples online..now i'm really worried baka i gave the wrong food to baby. TIA

^My advise is ask your pedia pa rin if it is safe to give green peas. More than 1 year na si baby kasi.

I know that baby bullet at wala pa akong naifollow na recipe from that book. Although I still have plans to use that.

Thanks for your advice sis Purple_Power, will ask her pedia on next visit. i discarded nalang the rest of the green peas and fed her carrots instead. What else did you feed your baby sis on her 6th month? Thanks :)

Avocados are great first solid food. Mash em up and add a little breastmilk. Its high in fat so super good for babies. Okay din ang brocolli and bananas.

as I mentioned sa previous post yung mashed potato with milk ang nirecommend ng neuro doctor, I think doon ata muna ako nagfocus nang husto then most likely mga nilagang carrots, sayote, camote, kalabasa. Nagtagal muna ako sa mashed potato with milk eh! The pedia doctor recommended us na pakainin siya ng nilagang egg yolk thrice a week, wala yung puti. Yung sa green peas not sure ako dyan pero better still ask her pedia.

Sa ngayon ang bago sa diet niya is yung Milky Marie + bm for his snacks.

my baby is almost 9mos old,

Try mo ihalo yung milk sa mash potato then unti untiin mo.

Pa-join po :) I have a 9-month old son. I started giving him solids when he turned 6 months old.

Basta no salt and oil, tapos no artificial food (gerber, cerelac, etc).

hi what do you give your baby when your out the whole day? Do you bring cooked/mashed food?
How do you store it to prevent spoilage?

Thanks in advance.

^Naging problema ko yan noon kasi nagdala ako ng veggies I just forgot kung squash or potatoes tapos nangasim pero hindi naman masama yung lasa although pinakain ko pa rin kay baby. Wala namang nangyari kay baby kahit medyo nangasim. Pwede rin yung boiled egg yolk

^^ ako sis i bring semi-frozen homemade baby food and put it in an insulated bag. iniinit ko lang yung rice ng onti kase medyo matigas yun. pero hinihiwalay ko ng container dun sa "ulam". so far di pa naman ako napanisan and my baby doesn't mind na hindi warm yung food nya.

Hi Sisses,

Ask ko lang, would you know kung saan makakabili ng Gerber 3rd Food? 1st and 2nd food lang ang available sa Landmark and SM Supermarkets e :(
My baby is nearing her 10th month pero wala pa syang ngipin so most of the time Gerber 2nd Food, Cerelac and Gerber Puffs ang solids nya.

Sometimes we feed her mashed potato, sayote and banana but I want to introduce her taste buds to meat and rice na sana.

TIA! :)

My 7mo old son doesn't like white potato w milk. ito lang ang hindi nya inubos sa lahat ng naprepare ko (carrots, apples, pear, banana, egg yolk, broccoli, avocado, squash).  and he very rarely refuses food (Lol!). He's also ok eating it cold. para ngang he prefers it cold pa.

nagkaslight pantal pantal sya sa face with carrots. so i stopped giving this muna.

we give him puffs and/or teething wafers as snacks. he has one tooth pa lang.

sa healthy options may nabili din kaming 3rd stage pureed food na mixed veggies w beef. kinain naman nya. so i think magproprogress na kami sa meat.  will prep at home dahil ang pricey ng ready-made. we only keep stash for when we go out. mas stable kase ang store-bought.

^foxlady, i've tried mixing avocado and milk, avocado and eggyolk, avocado and pear.  :)

Thanks, sis skela96c!

she still eats cerelac, gerber 2nd food and may isang cereal.. Milna ata yun.. na beef and peas flavor plus gerber puffs for snacks :)

Sisses, worth it ba bumili ng food processor? My baby is 6 months old and I've been feeding her pureed fruits and veggies. We just steam/boil and then mash. Mas mapapadali ba yung preparation kapag may food processor or sayang lang kung gagastos pa kami? Mahal kasi nung nakita ko, Avent food processor, 10K! Steamer and blender all in one.

^^I have the Avent 2-in1, steamer and blender and it's so worth it especially if you are a working mom like me.  Also, it's healthier if steamed compared to boiled.

hand blender lang ang gamit namin sis. nakukuha naman nya yung puree na consistency. easy to use, convenient and madali din linisin.  :)

we have a blender we used it mostly nung around 6months pa sya to achieve puree consistency. but later on hindi na masyado ginagamit kasi my baby prefers chunkier food kaya fork nalang gamit ko to mash. so depends kung may ibang paggagamitan ang food processor, mahal kasi.
