My baby turned 6mos yesterday and I gave him happy bellies multigrain cereals. We start with cereals according to his pedia. So happy he loved it! I started yesterday with 1 scoop, today 2 scoops and simot pa rin. :)

we started feeding my baby cerelac, okay naman pero hindi siya natatakam. we tried potatoes, okay lang din pero hindi rin siya tipong natatakam. we tried squash and he doesn't like it. bat kaya ayaw ng baby ko kumain kahit milk ang hirap, iiyak at ubo muna bago kumain or uminom ng milk..

six months din nagstart si baby mag-solid, breastfed siya. she is now 7 months and earths best organic brown rice cereal din ang ni-recomend ni pedia (yung powdered na nasa box), from healthy options. she's been eating it for one month now, super ok naman sa kanya. instead of water, i put breastmilk tapos nilalagyan namin ng 6pcs of happybaby organic puffs na pinalambot sa cereal, para lang matuto mag chew. aside from that i've been giving her fruits and veggies na, pero twice a day lang ang kain niya, as per pedias advice. then the rest is breastmilk pa rin...

ang unang solid ni baby aside sa rice cereal is puree pears. one whole pear, ni-blender ko then i put it in 3 lock and lock containers then froze it. kasi kailangan 3 straight days mong ipapakain si baby ng same food, according to pedia para mabilis madetect kung may food allergy. ganoon din sa avocado, kaya lang ayaw ni baby. for vegetables naman, hindi ko na ni-ffreeze. sweet potato, squash, potato- all freshly cooked (boiled), then i just mashed it with fork + 2-3 tbsps of malunggay soup para lang medyo lumambot...

may fruit juice din akong binibigay. 1oz orange/ponkan juice diluted with 1oz of water.

^yup. ganun ginagawa ko. 4 na klaseng veggies pinapakuluan ko tapos yung sabaw ang ginagamit ko. nilalagay ko yung soup sa parang ice tray tapos store sa freezer.

^YES! That's what I used before to thin out the mashed potato when my baby was just starting out with solids. Add it after mashing the potatoes.

i also have not seen earth's best cereals at HO shang and greenbelt 5.  I chose Happy Bellies brand for my baby's cereal as my SIL recommends this too.  I think they have 3 variants, but I have only tried multi-grain so far and baby likes it.
