Buying here vs Buying Online on baby stuff

^if diapers lang ang ipapaship mo, sa tingin ko hindi sulit with pobox.ph.
The $30 box may not even be big enough to fit a large pack of diaper.

If buying big ticket baby gears just make sure that
1. you have either tried the product here if it is available or if it's not available locally or
2. you have thoroughly researched the product and is convinced beyond doubt that it is the one that you want/need. Wala na kasing balikan halos yan.
3. the price difference includong shipping cost is big compared to local price if locally available.
4. you don't need the item till after 4 weeks. The boxes are shipped by sea freight so matagal.

^^ ay sorry no. the small pack of diapers and gerbers were ones i order from diapers.com but i had others with it in the box.

for reference, when i bought my avent isis duo pump, that was $30. when we ordered from ralphlauren.com, yon lang in that batch, also $30. this box was about the same size as you know yung box ng gown? ganon.

if it's as big as the box of huggies snug & dry na available sa s&r, that alone will be $30 but i've checked and this will take the space of about half of the green box, yung $75.

the green box of pobox.ph is almost the same size of a regular balikbayan box. super daming laman na non kasi they pack well.

@sexytabachung, why not check the diapers available at s&r? Kasi baka nandun yun gusto mo. O d kaya, maikumpara mo ang prices (of course mas mahal na) na yun difference between diapers+freight e = lang sa 1 box ng diaper sa s&r. So sulit na rin mag pobox ka kasi punuin mo pa ng ibang items. Kaya ko kasi magpuno ng biggest box ako lang mag-isa every month yan halos (kaya nga umiiwas na ako, ahmm last ko na yun nasa warehouse nila ngayon) kasi once nakadecide na e d go na. Masakit pa kasi sa ulo yun maraming iniisip if gusto naman talaga ng bilhin. Makita mo sis kulang pa sa iyo yun isang box

Thanks for all the suggestions and explanations ha mga sis. I checked na sa S&R pero wala dun yung size ng baby ko, mostly kasi they have big sizes na. I might be adding some stuff pa siguro to the box,not just diapers. Pero kasi most of the time, may mga relatives rin ako na umuuwi or nagbabakasyon sa US and nakikipadala ako but i think if its diapers na, nakakahiya na ipadala sa kanila since may weight limit. But no worries na kasi someone solved my dilemma na sa diapers na yan. I just have to finalize

Ganyan ang nagyari sa akin with my first pobox experience. May konting space pa sa green box so nag-add ako ng items. Tapos ang ending naging isang green box at isang block box. Hehe.

Madali lang talaga magpuno ng box. Pero buti nakakapagpigil pa ako. Si stormy, ibang level yan kung mag hoard. Ang hoard sa kanya ay hoarding talaga, hindi hoarding ang 3pcs like for some people. peace, sis. Hehe.

^ sis, waht size diapers are you looking for? Size 1 ba na snug and dry? How much does your baby weigh na? I started with snug and dry at size 2. That big snug and dry box availale sa s&r take sup about half of the green box. Less if you let them take them items out of the box kasi may 2-3 big plastic bags naman inside.

I've tried giving pobox instructions regarding taking things out of the box, folding the box properly, para kumasya sa box or para less space consumed.

^^yes sis, masaya talaga magpuno ng box. Lalo na pag sing-kulit ko for example isang shirt na d mawari ano kulay pipiliin kaya ginagawa ko both colors na lang or all colors ito yun sinasabi ko sa 1st post ko na napapamahal pa ako kahit mas mura online. Napaparami kasi.

Share ko lang i'd like to buy from SM Department stores! Seriously kasi kapag pumupunta ako sa section dun ng pang preggy or pang baby para siyang PARAISO!

Perhaps talagang alam ko kung anong quality ng nabili kong items as in di lang siya sa picture but first I make a list of all the baby needs para wala naman masayang sometimes I talk to elders na kamag-anak ko about their baby experiences. Pati OB and Pedia ko kinakausap ko rin for smart advice.

When all things are set I first go to Malls para sa canvass knowing what to expect na mging expenses ko right! Saka isa pang advantage na nakikita ko sometimes andun na laht ng needs ko .. Samantalang thru online sellers naman alam mo yun,, yung mga cute at rare na bagay meron sila which will make your baby unique so either way pwede sila.

Talagang first choice ko lang talaga ang mga Departments Stores ng SM

^^^ i need size 1 sana sis ng little snugglers, snug and dry and pure and natural huggies  ang dami ko gusto i-try. i might get jumbo pack lang muna this time for me to test which is hiyang sa baby ko. my baby siguro is 5.5 kg na. napaisip tuloy ako if i should get size 1 or 2. also, regarding s&r, nakikita ko kasi puro big packs lang, wala small packs or jumbo packs. i wanna try muna kasi before ako bumili ng maramihan. i remember nung inakala ko super ok sa baby ko ang drypers, super dami ko binili. pero nung pagtagal, hindi pala ok. marami pa ang natira sakin, mabuti meron ako napagbigyan. i dont really care sis kahit tanggalin pa nila pobox sa box yung diaper as long as hindi madudumihan yung loob ni diaper 

^^ i remember nung kinukulit ko brother ko na magpadala ng balikbayan box before nung 1st time pa lang niya sa US, sabi ko nakakainis ka naman, ang mura mura lang naman magpa-box, lbc ata kasi before is $50 lang, sabi ko padala ka na lang monthly. sabi niya, madali naman magpadala ng box eh, what is $50?! pero ang mabigat kasi doon eh ang punuin ang box. yon ang magastos. very true diba?

Stormy, ako naman hindi sa ganon naPaparami. Sa sizes. Kasi kung mura tapos nice i buy na kahit super laki la sa 17m old ko. Medyo hinay muna ako ngayon kasi ang dami kong binili sa UK when i was there last month.

Sexytabachung, i think baka pwede ka na sa size 2. I took a risk with snug & dry kasi the first i bought, big box agad. Buti ok. We love it and use it up to now. With the price diff here and online, baka if you add pobox cost, same na din? If the jumbo box.

^^ sis, i suggest you buy clothes and shoes kasi super nice quality talaga and cheap pa compared sa price dito sa manila. for example, yung mga stride rite shoes, OA ang kamahalan dito. kahit naka-sale pa, ang mahal parin. nakakapag init ng ulo. LOL.

^ oo nga sis, dapat nga ata size 2 na siya kasi by June pa darating dito.. for sure tataba at lalaki pa yung baby ko dahil super lakas niya dumede.. mas ok na malaki yung mabili ko kaysa naman maliit diba.. i'll check again sa s&r for diapers pero sis, hanap ako ng ibang mabibili for pobox. excited much!

Sexytabachung, actually, sis, stride rite is almost the same price. i wanted to get popsicle sandals for my daughter before so i comlared the price, almost same.

Ang sulit bilhin, imo, sa zappos.com are salt water sandals. I super love these! They seel for 1900 at mothercare and big & small but only $35 at zappos. Free shipping pa to anywhere in the US. My baby wears size 4 now. I have in stock size 5. Will get size 6 na sa next pobox siguro.

switblububbles, i suggest going out clothes. Kahit old navy or carters. Super mura lalo pag sale. How old is your baby? If months old pa lang, Straw cups, bowls (love the boon bowl with catcher kasi may suction). Food also like gerber puffs, happy baby puffs, yogurt melts. Toiletries din like burts bees.

If you're still pregnant, feeding bottles! Breast pump. I can go on and on. Super daming pwedeng ipabili. Ang tanong eh kung gaano kadami ang kaya nilang dalhin for you. If they're willing to bring a stroller for you, go!

^^ sis, saan mo na-check yung stride rite? was able to get kasi before super mura lang sa 6pm.com but that was last year pa ha. madalas rin kasi sila mag change ng price. minsan tataas, minsan naman bumababa. super love ng daughter ko ang stride rite and madalas siya mag check sa website ng stride rite, mahal nga dun, minsan nga parang mas cheap pa dito satin.

^ kaya naman pala almost same price lang rin  yes, super dami nga sa 6pm and broken sizes pa. pero most of the time naman, nakaka jackpot rin ako. like yung Hello Kitty Vans na gusto ng daughter ko, i think almost 2k yun dito sa Manila. ^ i checked 6pm yesterday. i'm looking for flip flops for my daughter. nasira kasi kaagad ipanema and havaianas niya so i'm looking for cheaper alternatives na lang. roxy kids flip flops are a bit cheaper than havs so i was considering those. pero sa 6pm, mostly mga winter/snow shoes pa ang on sale. wala pang sandals/flip flops masyado. maybe next po box i will have better luck. may havaianas na 9.99 sa 6pm pero kung yon lang bibilhin ko don, wag na muna. got roxy kids na lang muna from zappos.

i wanted to get the $2.50 flip flops at old navy pero pahirapan! laging nagt-time out. sale kasi plus the onsave20 coupon so baka kaya ganon. but i have 2 pairs of these flip flops that i got before. pinilit ko na sa baby ko yung size 6 muna kahit malaki pa kasi wala na siyang magamit. i will check sa landmark later kung anong meron doon. i'm looking for indoor and outdoor (for her afternoon walks) tsinelas. tagal pa ng order ko sa zappos eh.

Sis, to be honest, hindi ko type tsinelas (tsinelas talaga?) haha! yung sa roxy. Masyado siyang soft and yung print niya ang bilis mabura. Yung buong tsinelas mismo, ambilis maluma. I bought 2 pairs kasi last yr from6pm rin for me and for my daughter, ginamit namin sa bora. Pagbalik namin sa Manila pinagtatawanan kami ng Mom ko, sabi niya ano daw nangyari samin at lumang luma na agad slippers namin samantalang 4 days lang kami dun. Mas ok parin Ipanema and havs sis, lalo na sa bata kasi grabe sila maka-kaladkad diba? Wanna try Sanuk next time kasi soft rin siya.
