I have used the following contact lens

eye grade -150 (nearsighted)

air optix aqua - good for 10-12 hours wear, I have sensitive eyes so I need to use eye drops every 4 hours; it is comfortable and easy to wear; very thin; stays put even in jogging or exercise cost: P550 per pair

flex wear clear contact lens - difficult to identify if you are wearing the correct side; but also comfortable; in terms of comfort seems about the same with air optix;  I can wear this 10 hours up cheaper too cost only P220

cons: when I blink fast, the contact can easily get displaced

I was able to buy flexwear colored contacts are they are so uncomfortable for my eyes; I need eye drops every two hours and the contact lenses can easily be displaced from the center

for contact lens solutions:

AO Sept - this is the best contact lens solution for me cleans very well and my contacts are very comfortable to wear because of this

Opti Free Pure moist - I do not feel this cleans so much; on the first wash the contact lens is comfortable however, after  a week of usage, the contact lens does not seem to be clean compared to AO sept where the lens feels like as the first day you use your contact lens

Opti-tears - the best and most comfortable eye drops for me

EO drops (forgot the name) - good and just works; cheap too!

EO saline solution - good for rinsing

Sisses, what brand of CL and solution can you recommend for first-time users like me? 2.5 at 2.75 ang grade ng glasses ko, plus astigmatism sa right eye. Sa EO ko balak bumili kasi dun ako hiyang, hehe.

Sa office siguro mag glasses pa rin ako, I'll need lang the lenses for going out. Ang hirap ng naka eyeglasses when traveling. Lol

I buy flex wear at EO, then solution is opticare.  They allow trial, I don't know lang how hygienic that is pero para ma-feel mo narin kung comfortable ka.

I bought na FlexWear good for 3 mos. 1 hour ko na siyang suot at medyo uncomfy na lang ako. Cyclean 'yung solution and optifree the drops that I bought.

How much yung optifree na solution? Small bottle lang ng Cyclean binili ko para if not hiyang it will be easy to switch.

I bought my current contact lens from Vanilla Eyes PH. My eye grade is 300.
They already have on hand lens, graded or not. Sobrang dali nila kausap and daming options for payment.
I'm from Cavite so I got mine 2 days after ko masend yung payment sa kanila

For my solution, I'm using SeptoCare. Actually yung boyfriend ko nakadiscover nito nung nagpabili ako sa kanya ng solution. 120ml is only P60, very affordable. Nakalimutan ko na kung magkano yung mas malaki since laging out of stock.

Sisses paano technique niyo pantanggal ng lens? Hirap na hirap ako tanggalin mine, 'di tuloy ako nag contacts today. Lol

Pwede ba sa soft lens 'yung parang suction cup na pantanggal or pang hard lens lang 'yun?

^ Ako sis ang ginagawa ko lang ino-open ko lang yung eyes ko mabuti then I use my thumb and index finger para alisin yung contacts. Make sure na nakatingin ka dun sa fingers mo para yung lens eh nasa center ng eyes mo

Minsan depende rin sa contact lens yan kasi ako nung clear na fresh look noon ang ginagamit ko madali lang tanggalin pero sa air optix hirap na hirap ako tanggalin natatakot na nga ako kasi minsan ang pula pula na ending tuloy hindi na ako nag co contact lens saka na lang siguro uli pag nakahanap ako nang madaling tanggalin.

Just want to share this. I've been wearing contact lenses since 2009. Then, last year I discovered Vision Essentials. It's a supplement for the eyes. From 200, my grade is now down to 100.

NAKU sounds scary pa yung suction cup sis. try mo lang ganito:support ni middle finger yung left hand yung upper eyelid mo then sa babang part ng eyes, support naman ni ring finger sa right hand para iopen yung eye na nilalagyan or tatanggalan mo ng contacts. then si middle finger at thumb finger ang kukuha ng contacts sa eye mo. mabilisan lang sis, ensure lang na super clean yung hands before gawin yan:) nung una hirap din ako pero i've been using contacts since 2010 ata kaya nasanay na. 400 eyegrade ko and hassle mag glasses lagi lagi kaya pinagpapalit ko sila. pag sa bahay nakaglasses lang ako pero sa office nakacontacts na. i used Air Optix clear contact lenses then All naman yung contacts solution ko.

Nag ka phobia na yata ako magsuot nang contact lens dahil hirap na hirap talaga ako pag magtatanggal dumarating sa point na ang pula pula na talaga nang mata ko. Yung feeling na parang nakadikit na sya sa mata ko.

^sis i think kaya sya nangyayari, yung feeling na super dikit sya sa mata kasi nahahayaan syang matuyo masyado. i suggest magdala ka ng contacts solution lagi para pag feeling mo nagdadry na sya, patak ka lang. meron nabibili sa Landmark na clear bottle na maliit na pedeng ilagay sa vanity kit para di hassle bitbitin, ako laging me ganun kasi mabibilis natutuyo yung eyes ko especially pag asa aircon forevs kaya need ko talaga yun:)

Actually sis palagi naman akong may dalang solutionpero ganoon pa rin. Minsan nga pinapatakan ko pa pag hindi ko natatanggal pero feeling ko lalong dumidikit ang weird nga. Nagtanong na nga ako kung ano ang medyo makapal na contact lens kasi baka sakaling mas madali kung matanggal pero sabi sa clinic pare pareho lang kakapal ang mga contact lens.

^ano bang contacts gamit mo sis? Yung Air Optix at O2 Optix i think sakto lang yung kapal nya. Yung Fresh Look naman super lambot, nahihirapan din ako ilagay yung before. Baka depende sa type ng eyes sis:)

Air optix nga yung last na gamit ko sis hindi talaga ako hiyang besides sa hirap na hirap na nga akong tanggalin namumula tapos hindi ko gusto ang feeling sa mata pag suot ko. Mas gusto ko pa yung o2 optix dati kaya lang parang wala na nito kasi nga pinalitan na nang air optix. Pero ang naaalala kung contact lens na hiyang talaga ako dati ay yung freshlook na clear kaya lang phase out na. Alin ba na fresh look ang manipis sis? Kasi nakabili nga ako nang fresh look na illuminate dailies pero hindi ko pa nagagamit kasi may nabasa nga ako na reviews na mahirap daw tanggalin hindi daw pwede i pinch gaya nang ibang contact lens kailangan pa daw tuklapin sa gilid.

^sis 2012 pa ata kasi ako nag freshlook na colored kaya di ko alam anung type sya ng fresh look contact lens. basta super lambot nya, yung tipong natutupi pag sinusuot. Naka 02 Optix ako now sis, nakakabili pa din naman ako sa mga Optical shop:)
