milk formula for 7 years onwards

need your advice

my daughter is 6 years old and she really wants to drink ACTIBOOST milk which is for 7 years onwards,
ayaw niya talaga ng ibang milk, sa tingin niyo ok lang kaya??
may mga adverse effect ba if hindi tama sa age?

daughter ko since 6 years old siya Nido Fortified milk until now na 8 years old na siya.

Pediasure, tried and tested,medyo mahal nga lang, pero sulit. I drank this even as a teen, nakatulong naman hehe, even my pamangkin drinks this, hindi na siya lampayatot hehe

My DD drank Anchor 6+ in chocolate but now that she's 7 and a half, nagsawa na.  Super tagal pa nya ubusin yun 1 glass of the powdered milk before.  She now drinks Cowhead or Harvey Fresh in Banana, Chocolate or Strawberry flavors.  Better na daw yun liquid for her.  Mas mahal nga lang but if she drinks it and is happy with it then GO!   We're happy too coz she drinks milk all the time now, sometimes 2-3 glasses a day because it tastes good.  Ayun, talagang lalong mahal lalo na if she finishes a liter of milk a day!

Ang bilis-bilis kasi nila lumaki eh! haha. My son isn't 7 pa naman pero when we get to that age, we might stick to the brand he's drinking now which is Lactum. May 6+ naman ata sila eh Pero I've always wondered kung hanggang saan ang PLUS na yun? haha. Like pwede pa ba yun pag nag-eight or nine siya?

My son used to drink pediasure kaso nagsawa na siya, sobrang tagal nya ubusin yung isang baso. Nido na ang pinapabili nya tapos hahaluan nya ng Milo. Minsan kumukuha din sya sa fresh milk namin ni hubby, kasi tinatamad magtimpla, hehe. Di naman kami masyadong particular kung anong milk iniinom niya kasi kahit ako nung ganung age gatas lang mula sa quiapo ang iniinom ko, nilalagay lang sa lata ng anchor, hehe.

I ask pedia na din kasi nga nagworry na ako gusto nya paiba iba, nung babies sila bawal basta basta magpalit ng milk.
Sabi nung pedia ok naman na daw kasi malaki na pero dapat daw full cream.

My daughter's pedia said low fat milk na daw dapat inumin ng daughter ko kasi overweight na siya.. i gave her harvey fresh low fat pero ayaw niya, she said lasang tubig daw. LOL. now, im giving her birch tree, she loves it. enjoy siya magtimpla mag isa. she saw an ad of choco boost, she wanna try that daw pero baka lalo naman siya tumaba kasi chocolate yun..

Bakit kelangan pa ng milk formula? Hindi ba pwede na full cream milk or the regular milk everyone uses? Our pedia told us that when a kid turns 1 year old, he doesn't need special formulation. His/her nutritional requirements should come from eating regular food, not from milk only. nagiging deterrent pa nga ang milk from training the kids to eat food. Pag nagutom ang bata, dede/milk agad ang binibigay instead of letting them eat regular food. Prepare nutritious food para dun niya makuha ang mga nakalagay na nutrition na nasa formula milk. The idea that kids need formula milk till 6 years and beyond is just a marketing strategy of milk companies. You can ask any pedia and they will tell you na hindi naman kelangan formula milk. My two boys (2 and 1) are taking birch tree full cream milk from a glass. they eat every meal plus snacks. They are active, healthy and if I may say so, quite smart. They are not overweight but just at the right weight-height combination. Even if you look at the labels and compare, they have no significant difference. Plus another thing, Pediasure should only be given if there is special dietary needs like kung malnourished yung baby and the pedia will advise you if you need it. It's not recommended for long term use because it's too loaded. Stop believing milk companies! they spend billions for advertising. Milk won't make your kids smart! Masyado nga marami sugar ng formula milk which will make your kids hyperactive and overweight. hindi komo mataba healthy na.

Yung nephew ko, Aqiva ang iniinom. He was drinking a different brand of milk before kaso pinalitan ng parents kasi sobrang tamis daw. Suggestion ng dentist yun dahil nagkaroon ng cavities yung bata. Hiyang siya sa Aqiva at sakto sa pagiging sobrang picky eater nya. Hindi sya mahilig sa gulay at madalas chicken nuggets of fried egg ang gustong ulam. Lola kasi nag-aalaga pag araw at working ang parents so bigay hilig lang sa gusto nung bata. At least with Aqiva, nasu-supplement yung vitamins and nutrients na di nya nakukuha sa pagkain ng chicekn nuggets at fried egg.
