Went back to Canyon Cove this weekend, this is our 2nd time. For me sulit na talaga pag kumuha ng deal kase maganda and malaki yung rooms. Maganda yung shoreline. Kid friendly ang pools. My 2 yo enjoyed swimming. And good thing is di na sila strict sa food. Ang dami na namin nakikita na nagdadala ng food sa mga cottages nila and di naman nasisita. Then nung nagtake out kame ng tirang food from Jollibee, di rin nasita. I guess ok na talaga magdala ng food. Ang cons lang talaga is sobrang bagal ng service nila pag madaming tao. Nung check out, nasettle na namin yung bill, wala pa din yung mag-aassist sa min sa luggage. Ang ending kame na lang din ang nagbaba. And yung resto, di ko alam ang technique kung pano umorder. Papasok kame dun and wala man lang waitress. Saka feeling ko ang tagal umorder, kase yung mga onting naghihintay doon puro nakasimangot na hehe. Pero they have a new snack booth, ok naman yung chicken popcorn. And overall, I would still go back if we want a quick getaway and mukhang year round naman available yung deal.

Booked at Buracai de Laiya for Mar11-12. It's a new resort so I'm not expecting much. Ang ganda lang ng pools nila! Much cheaper compared to other resorts nearby (La Luz, Acuatico, etc.)

Will post a short review after our trip.

Eto yung mga naalala kong rates:

Good for 2 pax - 5.5k (no view) or 5k (with view)
Good for 4 pax - 7.5k (no view) or 8k (with view)
Good for 12pax - 14k (3 double decks. Twin size yung beds. No view.) or 20k yata (pool side and 3 rooms yata)

Peak rates yan sis. Rates include set breakfast. May corkage pag nagdala ng food but pag snacks lang wala daw. Meron din silang day tour. 900 for adults and 700 for kids. Day tour rates include set lunch.

Trip update..

Natuloy kami sa Buracai de Laiya last Mar 11 and 12. Travel time from QC is 4 hrs. Maganda yung place but marming rooms for improvement. Rooms are clean, malaki yung space nung room na nakuha naming. May ref, flat tv, cable, electric kettle, table and chairs. OK yung shower, consistent naman yung hot water. If you'll go there, don't forget to bring toothbrush! They'll only provide, shampoo and toothpast (in sachets!) and soap bar na maliit. Mahina signal ng smart. I had to go up sa main road pa. Staff are okay pero for me need pa nila ng training. Hindi pa kasi pang hotel yung service. Beach is mabato pero maganda yung pools nila. Very clean and well maintained. Madaming tao when we went there pero hindi crowded yung pool. They allowed us to check out at 3PM. Food is not pricey but don't expect much sa lasa. Okay na sana lahat BUT nthey allow videoke until 12mn. Their rooms are not sound proof so imagine my horror! Buti na lang my LO and hubby are too tired kaya maaga nakatulog. There's also a group of guys na naka check in dun sa barkada room na malapit sa pool. Nagiinuman at nagkakantahan all day.. So, if you're looking for a place to relax and unwind, I won't recommend the place.

We book at campsite for Christian Ministry sa Batanggas, this I know for sure tahimik we've been here for how many times, hindi white ang sand but super linis ng water kahit greyish ang sand makikita mo paa mo sa ilalim ng water at hindi mabato.

May pool din and airconditioned ang rooms nothing fancy since campsite talaga siya or retreat place.

Kahit may crowd managable kasi usually they do bible study or church service ministry.

Had a fun daytour at STILTS Calatagan yesterday. We love the beach! Super glad this resort is pet friendly, we get to bring our dog.

My brother and his friends had a very bad experience at Casa Antonio Glamping site in Calatagan. Not worth the pricey amounts they charged their guests and the service sucks. They can't even make sure that their guests follow policies properly even if it will endanger the other people in the campsite. I told my brother for the amount they paid Casa Antonio, they could have stayed overnight at Stilts with breakfast pa! My brother and his friends left the site without eating the lunch that came with their package sa sobrang annoyance. They delete negative comments and reviews sa FB page nila kaya akala ng mga tao okay yung service.

Anyway, worth it ba ang overnight sa Shercon Resort and Ecology Park? We're looking for a place to visit this Holy Week na pet-friendly. Bawal dogs sa Balai Isabel eh.  I checked reviews for Canyon Cove and it seems hindi rin puwede magdala ng pet.

hi mga sis! tulong sana, yun mga recent na nakapag-stay sa beach na dito, pahingi naman po mga reco..planning to stay sana april 25-26 overnight lang, beach - request kase ng sister kong uuwi..we are a family of 6pax with 2 senior citizen..thank you all!!!

thebratinella Shercon is beautiful! Bata pa lang kami, sikat nayang Shercon and they were able to maintain its beaut. Di ko lang sure kung allowed yung pets. And call them also kasi holy week nyo pala plano, baka fully booked na sila? You  may also try Nayomi (owned by Pratts family), La Virginia and El Madero.

for a big group, ok na ok yung airbnb sa punta fuego. malinis ang beach at hindi mabato,  kahit na gray ang sand.
may kitchen, may ref , may cooking utensils, so pwede ka magluto ng kahit anong gusto nyo.

Hi Sis! Regarding Canyon Cove, naginquire kami before sa kanila kaso gusto nila na terms full payment and no cancellation/rebooking. Is it still the same when you booked with them? Gusto sana namin i -try dito since mukang maganda kaso na turn off kami sa terms nila. :/

For Laiya, Batangas, I've only tried La Luz and it's really a great resort! Long beach shore, good staff service, good food, etc.

I'm eyeing to return this year but I want to try a different resort. So far the best quotes I've received were from Sabangan and Acuaverde. Who has tried both? Which is better overall? Although, Acuaverde's rates are higher than Sabangan but I'm considering it since I've always also wanted to try it since it looks similar to La Luz based on photos.

We'd like to go to a pet-friendly beach resort so if you have other suggestions, feel free to comment too!
