super relaxing stay namin sa Balai Isabel last Sat -Sun, we stayed sa suites nila with attic facing pa ng Taal Volcano yung veranda namin . 14 kami lahat pero ang luwang nito, 7 bed (good for 2 each bed), medyo masikip lang ang kitchen at personal ref lang, friendly ang staff nila, di sila strict kahit excess kami pwedeng pakiusapan at di na kami siningil ng extra charge, may cooking option pa para tipid din meals namin. Nakakatakot lang yung road pag galing ka sa Tagaytay to Talisay, grabe ka zigzag daan, pero exciting kase tumitili kami kada curve na daan..

i spoke to mr. jessie delos reyes through his mobile number posted in the page. i also communicated with him via fb and just deposited the downpayment for the room and sent him the scanned copy of the deposit slip. mabilis naman siya magreply. i found the resort through this review: http://www.indieescape.com/2012/08/review-calatagan-peninsula-resort.html

i googled resorts in calatagan and anilao this month and luckily, found that. we had a daytrip in stilts last year pero pricey yung overnight stay dun. calatagan peninsula also has rooms for 4-5 pax (2,500 per night). not bad. we're not picky naman on the place basta clean and relaxing yung ambience. according to the blogger, the resort offers snorkeling and diving trips. malapit din sila sa lighthouse. we'll go there in march. i'll post my feedback here after.

^we just got home from calatagan, sis and okay naman. may part na mabato like sa tapat mismo ng CAPoceans. puwede naman maglakad anywhere kasi private beach houses na yung banda dun. may areas dun na sandy so dun kami nagswimming. may part din na malalim kasi dun dumadaan and dumadaong yung boats ng mga owners ng beach houses in that area. yung room that we got kasya more than 8 pax. comfy naman ang beds. clean yung pillowcases, bedsheets and blankets. malamig din yung aircon.  we were able to bring our electric griller and cook food kasi may saksakan sa veranda ng room. may table and bangko na puwede gamitin. may tables and ihawan din sa yard. yung staff mabait and madaling pakiusapan for requests. may binebenta silang beer, softdrinks, ice, mineral water and charcoal. don't expect lang na parang sa resorts talaga kasi konti lang caretakers though we had a nice stay. we got there yesterday at 9am tapos we left na kanina after lunch. hindi naman sila strict sa time ng check-in and check-out which is nice.  may company outing dun. 5pm na umuwi mga tao. so peaceful sa area na yun. if hindi naman choosy officemates mo, the place would suffice. it's near the lighthouse. yung family na kasabay namin dun nagpunta pa kanina. you can request for boats if you want to snorkel kasi may guide sila and equipments. may naglalako ng fish dun pag umaga. we were able to buy fresh fish kanina for lunch. high tide, sis from 7am til 4pm. after nun low tide na. you have to walk far so you can swim pa. yung ibang guests na nakasabay namin nagpunta sa stilts for day tour while yung isang family came from playa calatagan and was looking for an affordable place to stay for the night. inquire ka na lang kasi hindi naman fully booked dun kahit summer. last night, kami lang and another family dun sa rooms for big groups. vacant yung 3. tapos madaming pang vacant rooms for smaller groups. if you want a relaxing stay, okay dun. hope this helps.

Sis what do you recommend na dalhin namin for cooking use - rice cooker, etc?

^you can bring rice cooker, electric grill, electric kettle etc. may 2 saksakan sa loob ng room and 2 more sa veranda that you can use for cooking.

they're not strict on the number of guests kasi we weren't asked nga kung ilan kami. basta i just booked yung room for big groups. ideally for 8 pax pero kaya nga 10 or more if puwede magtabi.  puwede din naman yata magrequest ng extra mattress.

they sell rice din pala kasi naubusan kami. they sell yung malaking container ng mineral water so puwede na dun na kayo bumili instead na magdala pa. just bring plates, cups and other kitchen utensils.

just tell your officemates na walang jetski, banana boats etc dun,sis. talagang perfect lang siya for beach bumming and inuman sa gabi. ang peaceful dun kasi nga surrounded by private properties. for its price, puwede na. mahal kasi sa ibang resorts pag overnight stay. may murang place malapit sa CAPoceans, sis. yung caisip compound where you can go camping. talagang dun parang survivor style.  may common bathrooms lang. mas mura dun kaya lang hindi namin trip ang camping.

We came from a newly managed resort by the Fernandina Group in Taal. It's fronting the lake and may pool din sya. 1st day palang nila when we arrived kaya medjo hindi pa sila ganon ka settled.  The place was nice and the management was very friendly and pleasant talaga. We got the Family Suite and a standard room. Family suite can sleep 8. It has 2 queen size beds and you can request for mattresses. It also has a living room and I suggest you book room 1 since may A/C yung living room. You can also use their kitchen for cooking and heating and free use of their griller. You can also go fishing! Since yung napunta sa amin na room is the one without the A/C sa living room the manager, Ms Jenny offered us a free accommodation to their bed and breakfast in Tagaytay. She's really nice. Considering that she really went to me to apologies. Since new pa sila lahat ng gamit bago rin. From sheets, towels etc... I hope through they can be more strict with the walk ins. According to their management since they just took over yung mga dumating na day trips naka book na yun sa previous management but come May hindi na sila mag papapasok unless sa kanila mag pa book.

It's called Fernandina Club Taal sis. They have a promo now since soft opening palang sila now. They do have a site and may FB din sila sis.  From what I know they plan to add zip line, kayak, and Zorb hopefully by May.

All their staff mababait talaga. Oh forgot to mention they also have a little "aviary". May videoke din for those who likes to sing!

whats their promo sis. the area looks nice. ldo yuo think mageenjoy mga kids to go strolling sa lakeside? strict ba sila sa headcount? may corkage ba if you'll bring your own food? sensya na daming tanong. we've been scouting for a resort near manila na affordable rates lang. mukhang affordable naman ang room rates nila. kaya lang di ba sobrang traffic ngayon in going to and from tagaytay?

^ If you have your own transpo sis hindi ka mahihirapan going down the lake side. Since hindi sya abot dun sa area ng Tagaytay wherein maraming restos hindi ka mattraffic going to the resort. They did not charge us for corkage sis since now wala pa sila resto. So you really have to bring your own food. We just brought our rice cooker but I think you can borrow din from them. As for the head count just declare sis ilan kayo and may option din sa site nila.  I suggest sis you try to call Fernandina and ask for Ms. Jenny. She is based here in Manila but she manages all of their branches. Mas ok sya kausapin mo. I actually booked through her. What's nice nga lang with booking through their site is that you do not have to pay in full. Kami kase before we got there nag bayad na kami agad ng full. Which is mas prefer ko rin. That way hindi ka na mag worry about bringing a big amount of money.

As for strolling dun sa lake side area, they have a big grass area wherein you can fly kite and the kids can play. They also have a little tyke house which the kids can play with. It's a small place. Pang family lang talaga!

I honestly do not know sis pano pumunta if commute but i think meron naman siguro buses or jeeps going there. However, tingin ko iikot ka talaga. We passed through tagaytay kase. Yes steep sya sis. Parang zigzag but ok talaga yung daan. It was cemented all through out!

thanks sis cynth for the feedback. we will definitely stay there before the month ends. til end of april ata mga promo rates nila. one more question, malinis naman ba pools nila? madami kaming kids na kasama kasi and malamang magbababad talaga mga yun sa pools

^ sis if the new management Will start implementing their rule na then clean na talaga yung pool. when we went there kase hindi nila matangihan yung mga naka book na sa old management. actually malinis sya prob lang may mga dumating na day trip lang so hindi na sya exclusive sa guests lang at that time..
