RAINBOW LOVE (LGBT)
« on: April 12, 2012, 12:13:50 am »
Hi there.

I realized that most threads in GT are about heterosexual relationships, however, this is not the only types of relationships. There is the LGBT community who love & live.

This is an invitation to the LGBT community to share of their experiences of love, dating & heartbreak.
All stories are welcome. May it be heterosexual or LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgendered).

Let's all help stop discrimination.
Thanks! :)

Hello. It's been months since this was posted but I'd like to share my experience as a GT here in the forums. I don't really actively post in threads, mostly I'm a lurker but I have made some friends here, straight and gay girls. And most of the users here are gay-friendly while some curious (bi/straight) souls sometimes ask me about my lifestyle and how I live my life with my sexual orientation.

My life is probably no different than that of a hetersexual Filipina at the prime of her life, dating and getting that dream job. My friends, both straight and gay, accept or at the very least respect the way I am even if sometimes they're not really open to the idea. A real problem though is coming out to my family. I've already come clean with my parents but they choose to ignore and not talk about it. I think deep in their hearts, they know but they're just not ready to accept it. But I'm willing to wait 'till they're ready.  :)

That's me in a nutshell, folks. I'd like to hear other stories from our fellow LGBT forumers :)

my experience..
since childhood.. im really not the feminine type.. but i hang out with mostly girl friends pa din..
had a childhood boy crush when i was 7-8 maybe..
come 3rd grade.. i met my first girl crush.. my science teacher.. and i never really got over her till i graduated in HS..
met my boy puppy love when i was in 5th grade.. we were good friends till na-reveal ang feelings ko for him then umiwas siya.. then we had cold war.. never spoke since then..
had my first official girl ka-on when i was in 2nd year HS.. shortlived..
open relationship with my first serious GF in 2nd year HS.. began exclusive relationship come college and broke up a few months after college graduation..
on & off kami ng first serious GF ko so i had male and female flings in between..
im currently with my 3rd official GF for 6 years (and hopefully forever) and we are planning to live together soon..

yun ang summary ng aking love life..

@lavariel: i feel for you sis because that's exactly how i am with my mom right now (i care less about my dad) i feel that she knows it because we had some dialogue na before when i was still in school.. but now im working and can support myself.. i wish to at least have her acknowledge that this is who i am.. and still love me as me..

@sakura_bloom: sis.. are you one of us?  :)

Well, I have just read on this topic, and I'm surprised that people online do talk about matters of this one, such as not being discriminated or talked against. I'm glad that people have thoughts of keeping LGBTs open to public without being offended or what not. Just like everyone else here, I guess, I've had my share of having boyfriends, but right now, I'm with a girl. Second girlfriend. Although me and my girlfriend both still look like straight ones, we are happily in a relationship.

Hi sisses,

Gusto ko lang buhayin ang thread na to instead of creating a new one.

I have been a member and supporter of LGBT. Supporter, even if I was still straight and now a member, when I realized I wasn't that straight after all. LOL!

One thing I realized, it's not really inborn. I used to think that people were born gay or lesbian. I have a friend kasi who said that she realized she was not straight when she was in kinder. And I looked back and thought, at that age, paglalaro lang ang alam ko. Wala akong consciousness when it comes to things like this.

"Lumiko" ako when I was 28. That was due to one woman, who is now my gf. I am not attracted to women in general. Sa kanya lang. I turned my life and world upside down as in 360 degrees. The biggest change and decision I had to make in my whole life. I fell in love, that's all I know, not with the gender but with the person. If she'll be gone, I know for sure that I would still be looking for a man. I don't know what this is pero sya lang talaga ang babae na nagustuhan ko. It was a whirlwind to begin with. Ganun din sya, first time namin pareho and we were soooo straight before. I guess there are really things that are beyond explanation.

Pero ayun, mas lalo kong nirespeto ang LGBT. It's not the gender eh. It's the person that matters.

She's a really good friend of mine, straight din siya. bigla na lang ako hinalikan nong nasa bar kame. nagkatinginan na lang kme sa isa pang kasama ko na girl din nd she's a friend of mine also. i know hindi pa lasing yun, and i rily don't know why. then she suddenly ask me if i'm bi., siyempre sinabi ko i'm straight! tapos she ask me kung papatol daw ako. sabi ko, siguro kung maganda( sinabi ko ng palabiro). but she says hindi pala ko papasa sayo! ano yun! what does it mean? til now she never answer my calls.

^sis, baka katulad ko sya na kahit gaano ka-straight, naattract sa isang babae. Pero hindi naman ako nanghalik. Hehe!

Sakin kasi medyo nahirapan ako when i started to realize. Hindi ko kasi agad natanggap yun. More than a year din yung struggle ko sa sarili ko. Baka nasa confusion stage sya.

^so sis straight kayo both? Eh parang kami lang din.

Siguro sis, try to reach out to her without talking about what happened. Baka awkward kasi yun para sa kanya. If she's not responding sa texts and calls mo, why not send her an e-mail, mas masasabi mo talaga ang gusto mo sabihin. Maybe you can ask her if you can still bring the friendship back.

I believe there are just some things na hindi ma explain, kaya nangyayari ito.  Pero I am not sure if it is just a coincidence, or mas naging conscious lang ako, pero there are more and more people who are becoming more open about these issues.  Hindi ko alam kung nag-umpisa lang ito because of Katy Perry's song. Kasi sabi ng friend ko, sobrang "uso" daw ito sa all-girls school since wala silang guy classmates.

So question, ano ang mapapayo ninyo sa mga parents na may teens growing and mukhang may tendency to be a lesbian/gay. How should the parents deal with it?  Ano ang gusto ninyo na ginawa sana ng parents ninyo dati or even up to now na hindi nila ginawa?

i tried pero ewan ko kung bakit ganun parin siya.it keeps on revealing to my head! buti pa ang multo nagpaparamdam..! :( ,I don't want to lose her as my friend, what do I do? i love her kasi kaibigan ko siya! kahit man lang isang word wala siya masabi when i texted her. i send her a message at facebook pero yun parin eh, naisip ko delete ko na lang siya to my friend list sa facebook kaso baka magalit naman. baka kasi binigyan ko lang ng malisya, mali ba yun..

^ Why will you have to delete her from FB? It will just make things complicated. Baka lalo nya maramdaman na may "issue" kayo. Siguro she was suprised din kasi sa reaction nya nun. Maybe it's taking her long to absorb things. If you have done your part and you think there's nothing more you can do about the situation, give it some rest. Baka ayaw nya na kinukulit sya. Nagawa mo naman na lahat eh.

I don't know what to advise them. I don't know the feeling of a parent whose child just happened to take the other side of the fence. But I wish and hope that all parents could be more understanding and open. Mahirap kasi to especially for those who have traditional family. In my case, I was able to open it to my mom because she's just the coolest mom ever. But the rest of the family, I'm not sure. I still can't bring myself out in the open as far as the rest of the family is concerned. I'm close to my brothers, I have issues with my dad, so I don't know how they're going to take the fact in. So in the meantime, secret lang muna namin ng mom ko. Pero everytime I go home, palagi ko bitbit gf ko so ewan lang if nagdududa na dad and brothers ko. ::)

I've been looking for a thread like this.
nawala na ba ang Girl to girl thread?

Anyway, I'm in a long distance- girl to girl relationship right now. She's my 3rd gf and i hope the last one. It's my first open relationship, my parents know about her.

I would love to share my story and inspire others. :)

^maybe you liked it talaga kaya it's still on your mind. why not try to contact the girl, if you still have contact with her. or, maybe it's just curiosity.
