Any comic book fans here?

So far, I read The Walking Dead, Criminal series and The Watchmen. May V for Vendetta ako dito pero di ko pa nasisimulan, yung friend ko na obsessed sa comic book eto ang ni-recommend sa akin. Then I got a copy na of GoT Volume One, excited din akong simulan yun.

I also have copies of The Sandman series na di ko pa rin masimulan kasi nasanay ako sa black and white ng TWD kaya nung nakita ko yung Sandman nanibago ako at makulay siya haha

I'm actually not a fan, but i'm interested in reading Walking Dead! san sya sis pwede bilhin?

^Sa Fully Booked sis kaso hindi complete dun kung pa-isa isa mo bibilhin. Not sure lang kung complete yung naka-bound (ilang volumes per bound).

I don't really call mine comic books. they're actually graphic novels. I'm madly obsessed with graphic novels. 95% of my book collection are graphic novels. They're kind of pricey compared to regular books but I keep it a point to buy at most 2 every month. that's as far as i can go.

I have tons of then and so far my absolute favorite is V for Vendetta by Allan Moore. However, be warned though that just because it has pictures in it doesn't mean that v for vendetta is an easy read. It's hard to understand first. You have to be equipped with sufficient knowledge about how a totalitarian government works to fully understand and enjoy the book. It's a dystopian sort of setting backed by a love story.

If you are planning on starting out with graphic novels, may I suggest Blankets by Craig Thompson. It was also a very good book. Read it three times.

i love Archies. I also liked Garfield comics. I haven't tried graphic novels but I am interested to check out V for Vendetta and Walking Dead.

started with archie during gradeschool tapos snoopy, calvin and hobbes, mutts, baby blues, far side, cyanide and happiness tapos now, marvel's thor series and neil gaiman. have a couple of graphic novels na binili ko lang because i liked the illustration.

I have a few graphic novels (ok, just 2) - Neil Gaiman's Sandman series and 30 Days of Night. Meron din ako collection of Calvin and Hobbes comics.

Sa iPad meron din ako comic books, like The Walking Dead, Hellboy and a few others. Di ko lang nababasa pa. Hehe.

The husband is the real fan, though. He has pristine comic books, parang di halos nabuksan. He covers in Mylar film to preserve the paper, because plastic is acidic. They have a special place in his heart. Lol.

He's a big Marvel fan, pero meron din sya non-mainstream comic books like Mind the Gap, which I heard was also quite good.

Is manga included here? I've been a HUGE fan of mangas (strictly shoujo though) ever since I knew how to open a book (I got into mangas prior to anime then cosplay recently). I mostly read mangas by Watase Yuu, Tanemura Arina, Maki Youko, Kurahashi Erika, and Azuki Ryou. The first manga series I've read though is Dr. Slump by Toriyama Akira in Chinese, borrowed from the school library. Since then, I couldn't stop reading... even now.

The latest series I'm (re-)reading is Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden by Watase Yuu. I stopped at Volume 9 ages ago and now I intend to re-read from the beginning and I can't wait to finally finish the legend of Genbu.

Currently getting copies (online) ng Groo and Conan.  Always updating on the latest sa The Walking Dead.  Would be nice if I can figure out ano yun Batman series wherein kalaban niya yun mga Owl.  Nabitin ako after Batman defeated them.

I grew up reading Archie comic books, and always looked forward to the Sunday comics page sa newspaper.  Fun times

I just started getting into comic books (dati Archie at Calvin and Hobbes lang ang reading level ko) because of Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie's work - ganda nila magsulat at mag-art. Now I'm getting into other comic books na. But for now strictly non-superheroes. I never really got into them hehe.
