sis super bratinella, i was at the Grand Palace just yesterday. Madami akong nakita na naka-dress, short dress (below the knee) and long dress na nagiikot around the palace. So I would assume okay lang yun, basta hindi mini skirt.

By the way, thank you sa lahat ng sumagot sa mga tanong ko and mga inputs dito sa thread. Super helpful. I just got back today from a 4-day trip. Kaya if you have questions, just message me. Here's my itinerary pala:

Day1:
Checked in at Bangkok City Hotel near Ratchathewi BTS. Since we arrived in the afternoon, we just went to MBK. Tinamad na kami pumunta Chatuchak. (This is on a saturday pala.) Shop a bit then dine at Fifth Avenue inside the mall. Dito yung may free Thai iced tea for foreign visitors. Just show your passport.

Day2:
Damnoen Saduak floating market- we just really went here to see how it looks like and experience it. Expensive talaga ang prices ng mga products dito. Availed of tour package.
Chocolate Ville- super nice place! If you have time, visit this restaurant. Very picturesque and nice ambience. Medyo pricey nga lang ang food. Open from 4pm-12mn

Day 3:
Nong Nooch Garden- this is in Pattaya. We availed of a tour package. Pero kami lang ng kasama ko ang nagpunta sa Nong Nooch. The rest of the pax in the van went to Coral Island. Kaya nakapag side trip din kami sa Pattaya Beach when we dropped them off and picked them up.
MBK ulit- was supposed to go to Platinum fashion mall but they close early kaya ended up here ulit

Day 4:
Grand Palace- went here via the chao praya river. Hindi na kami nakapunta sa W at Pho and W at Arun since super init. Hindi kinaya ng powers ko ang heat.
Platinum fashion mall & MBK- last minute shopping

Also, we rode the airport city link train pala to/from airport. Super convenient and mura pa! Bitin ang 4 days to shop and tour Bangkok. BUt at least, there's a reason to go back!  Anyway, thanks ulit sa lahat!

We were in BKK last week. Super init! Parang I don't want to go back there na hehe Though, I enjoyed the tour we availed naman: Ayutthaya, Calypso show, Siam Niramit, City temples and Grand Palace and the dinner cruise.

^^sis, magkano package rate going to floating market? may kasama na rin bang elephant/croc show yun? looking for hotels din ako. medyo malayo pala sa BTS yun hotel nyo.

^sis san kayo nag avail ng siam niramit show? sulit ba?

when you say mainit, gano kainit? mas mainit pa kesa dito sa tin sa pinas? next week na punta namin e.

@ sis lakwatsa, we just availed of the tour package from the travel tour desk inside our hotel. yung nakuha namin ay 500thb/person. i dont know if there are cheaper rates. kinulang na kasi kami sa oras para magcompare with other agencies. floating market, elephant village, wood carving store ang kasama. we actually wanted the floating market lang but since it's a group tour, you actually have no choice and you need to join with the rest of the group. pero pwede ka magpadaan sa rose garden and crocodile farm at samphran zoo. i'm not sure about the rates lang.

yung hotel namin, mga 10 minutes walk siguro to/from BTS. medyo nakakapagod lalo na kasi mainit. try bangkok loft inn, malapit sa BTS (wongwian yai) kaso medyo malayo sa city center

tama si mrs. sweet, super super super init. nakakaloka ang init. medyo nanghihinayang nga ako. kung hindi siguro ganun kainit dun, mas lalo ko sana ma-appreciate yung place and mas nalibot namin. you really need an umbrella and water. enjoy your trip!

^^puro hotel lang nakita ko dun sa asiawebdirect. wala mga tours. magkano kuha mo sa siam niramit sis?

^nag enjoy ka ba sa floating market sis? si mother kasi gusto pumunta dun. e sabi ko pangit naman daw dun kasi mahal mga tinda. tapos napanood na din namin sa palabas ni Aga sa channel 5 nun linggo hehe.

nakita ko nga rin yun bangkok loft inn kaso malayo hehe. 4 nights kasi kami nakapag book na ko ng first 2 nights sa IMM Fusion. nag 555 per room per night promo kasi sila nun weekend kaya nagbook na ko. lapit sa On Nut BTS. malayo sya sa city center pero ok lang kasi wasted naman first night namin dahil midnight arrival. tapos yun activity namin kinabukasan e Muang Boran naman so malapit na kami dun.

i need hotel na lang for the last 2 nights para dun kami magtransfer. since activity namin e Chatuchak, Ayutthaya, temple tours at shopping, iniisip ko dapat yun malapit na sa Siam square at syempre yun malapit pa rin sa BTS para di mahirapan magtransfer ang mga young once (magt-train na lang kami hehe)

may nakita ako citypoint hotel. may free na half day tour sa floating market. 5k baht ang 2 nights for 3pax. pinag iisipan ko pa kung aavail ko o kung maghahanap pa ko ng iba pang hotels.

saan yun chocolate ville sis at anong must-try dun? may nabasa pa nga ako cabbages and condoms yun name ng resto e. interesting din daw hehe.

^hmmm... nagenjoy ba ako? ayos lang. haha! for me kasi, gusto ko lang talaga siya ma-experience and to see it for myself. basically, what you see in the pictures, yun na yun. 

how about lub d siam square hotel? super lapit din sa BTS and nasa siam square area. hindi kasi ako familiar sa citypoint hotel.

chocolate ville, just recently opened last december 2011. kind of european theme dine-in-the-park ang feel. although medyo may kalayuan to. you can try to research online for the pictures. they also have facebook account. super dinudumog siya ng tao. when we got there, nasa highway na ang pila ng mga cars. pero kung hassle sa inyo ang travel time, this may not be a good option. to go there, head to BTS mo chit then transfer to MRT line then head towards MRT Lad Phrao station. from there, take a taxi. inabot more or less thb190 ang taxi namin papunta. na-traffic kasi papunta dun. then around thb130 ata nung pauwi. ayun

gusto ko nga din sana dyan sa lub d e. kaso yun tig 1900 na room lang ang may private CR tapos di pa pwede extra pax dun e 3pax kami. sa dorm ako pupulutin pag nagkataon hehe. saka parang mahal yun rate nila e for the same amount na isspend ko per night sa kanila, pwedeng same rate na yun ng mga hotel di ba.

sayang kasi sa golden house. wala na daw extra bed dun sa dates na binu book ko. mag 2 rooms na lang daw ako. e 2800 yun per night pag 2 rooms sa kanila. wala pa breakfast.


tanong pala mga sis:
1. yun mga BTS ba sa bangkok parang MTR ng HKG na pag lumampas ka, lipat ka lang sa kabila tapos makakasakay ka na ng pabalik ng train at no extra cost? or parang LRT natin na pag lumampas ka, sorry at kelangan mo bumili ulit ng tiket pabalik?

2. yun mga BTS ba nila same na rin as parang overpass nila na pwede mo gamitin kung tatawid ka?

@sis lakwatsa, may nabili naman ako. haha! siguro mga more or less 1 hour lang dun since yun lang din yung allotted time sa tour.

asok bts ay hindi masyado malapit sa siam square. pero kung okay lang sayo yung travel time and malapit lang sa station, okay na din siguro yun.

i dont think may bayad kung lumampas ka but im not 100% sure. ang nangyari lang kasi sa amin, mali yung ticket na nabili namin (we paid 15thb, dapat 20thb). nung pa-exit na kami, ayaw pumasok ng card. nagbayad lang kami ng additional 5thb. there's also a monitor inside the train kaya you would know where you are and what station is next

i think pwede mong gawing overpass. usually kasi may stairs on both sides before reaching the ticket counter.

baka di ko na i-avail yun may "free" floating market ng citypoint. kasi for 2pax lang daw yun free na yun tapos yun 3rd pax need mag pay ng 900. hehe. hiningi ko rin yun itinerary, meron din mga sidetrip pampatagal! hehe.

^naku sis, hindi kita masasagot sa tanong mo. hehe! i mean i bought several clothes, accessories, etc. yun ang must-buy for me. pero in terms of branded items, hindi ko alam kung ano pa ang mga okay bilhin

^kung ako sa iyo, avail the bts system of thailand...ma-traffic masyado sa thailand, unless gusto mong sumakay ng motor nila, yung parang katulad sa atin na habal-habal? meron kasi silang ganyan...

bumili ka ng wacoal dun sa mga supermarket, i mean yung parang shopwise nila dun, kasi mas mura kaysa bibili ka sa mga dept store...

curious ako kung pano umuuwi sila sis ianne16 kasi medyo malayo sa BTS yun hotel nila. iniimagine ko kasi kung may energy pa kaya mga young once ko kung sakaling dun kami sa hotel na yun magbook.

@ sis sunnysan, we stayed in sathorn area. we did not stay in a hotel but a serviced apartment. sabai sathorn name nya. we really enjoyed our stay there though it is not directly connected to mrt. it is just 3-5 minute walk to the nearest train station. It's also affordable.

thanks sis! mukha ngang maganda! i was looking rin for parang serviced apartment type na may free wifi. was considering oakwood nga pero mukhang cheaper to pero maganda rin.

@sis lakwatsa, hay oo nga pala "young once" yung mga kasama mo no? i guess, ok lang na mag-bts pa rin...kasi yung mga nakakasabay namin usually pagnag-aabroad kami, na nakikita ko, karamihan mga young once din, i mean, sumasakay sila ng mga mrt..tayo lang naman na mga pinoy ang mahilig mag-taxi, pag nasa abroad...pero yung mga europeans, americans, brits, and yung mga asians (except for pinoy), ayan, talagang nakiki-blend in...observation ko lang yan, whenever im abroad kasi...minsan lang kasi ako makabasay ng mga pinoy na turista ha, na nag-te-train..yung mga pinoy na nakikita ko kasi, usually dun na sila nakatira or nagta-trabaho, kaya marunong na..pero yung mga turistang pinoy, taxi yan mga yan..:-)

Just got back from Thailand, di ko talaga alam na 1hour late pala ang Thailand time, anyway we stayed at The Imperial Queens Hotel a very nice hotel close to 5star, and it is located in the heart of the city of Bangkok.

On our first day we went to Siam Ocean World then dinner cruise at Grand Pearl then shop at Asiatique River Front

Second day we went to Golden Palace and Buddha Temple then went to Samphran Elephant and Ground zoo watched crocodile show, magic show and elephant show sobrang mainit talaga according to our tour guide there are only 3 season in Thailand hot, hotter and hottest..

Bring lots of water when you are in a trip, we also went to MBK for shopping the best ang prices ang mumura talaga pwede tumawad..
