Excited na for our Thailand trip hope everything will be an experience worth remembering.. this is my first out of the country trip.

hi mga sis! hubby and i are going to bkk on august 26-29. super bitin pala trip namin kasi i just realized na 2 nights lang kami dun although morning kami dadating sa 26. first time ni hubby then 4th time ko na. planning to take him to chatuchak and maybe sa iba pang malls sa first day, floating market and tiger temple on day 2 then watpho or grand palace then mall ulit.

any recommendation on hotels in the silom/sukhumvit area? ayoko na kasi sa pratunam kasi ang daming tao. tsaka gsto right next to the bts. looking at furamaxclusive asoke since malapit siya sa asoke bts and sa terminal 21 mall but looking at other options.

@sis lakwatsa, kami kasi medyo parang 6 stations away from the big malls...mas mura kasi...:-) di naman kasi kami too the max na nagi-stay sa hotel eh...tulog lang talaga ang ginagawa namin dun..:-) kasama mo pala parents mo? well, you better hire a tuktuk nga...masakit sa paa, i am telling you na..at mainit sa bkk kasi...kaloka...

@ sis sunnysan, we stayed in sathorn area. we did not stay in a hotel but a serviced apartment. sabai sathorn name nya. we really enjoyed our stay there though it is not directly connected to mrt. it is just 3-5 minute walk to the nearest train station. It's also affordable.

sis lakwatsa nag email ako sa Residence Rajtaevee they gave me 1,275 baht for superior room for 2pax with breakfast additional 500 baht for extra person with breakfast . Parang mas mura compare sa Golden House.

Ayutthaya pag DIY lang kayo pupunta dito from BKK mas ok mag hire ng tuktuk na guide. Maiinit sa Thailand. Sunburn abutin niyo nito. hehe Yung tour guide alam nila kung saan kayo pupunta 3 hours lang ok na yan 6-7 places na siguro makikita. Di pa ngarag kakatingin sa map and kung nasang place na. Parang fixed price ata sila 200baht per hour. Pero kung makatawad mas ok. Parang kasya nman sa tuktuk yung 6pax.

Bike pwede din iexplore yung place pero maiinit nga puro foreigners nakita ko naka bike that time. Di kase sila takot sa araw.

^nakita ko nga din yan sa agoda sis. Di ba kayo nahirapan maglakad to/from hotel?

Yun sa golden nagtanong talaga ako kung di na ba allowed ang 3pax per room. Allowed pa naman daw. Yun nga lang nagkataon sa dates ng booking ko e full na yun mga extra bed. Parang ganun. E di naman daw pwede 3pax sa room na pang 2pax lang yn bed. Kaya ayun magbook daw ako ng 2 rooms. Nicancel ko na lang.

Sa arnoma kaya ok? May nakita pa ko pr place. Serviced apartment naman.

hi sisses, madali lang ba kung commute lang papuntang damnoen saduak floating market? i mean, i have the directions already pero baka kasi pag andun na, hindi pala ganon kadali. next week na trip namin, hindi pa finalized itinerary. hay.. help! tia!

sis hotchick_19 what time arrival niyo? Kung rush hour magastos kung taxi and matraffic. Try niyo yung train from airport  interchange kana lang train going Mo chit stn- ayun dun an chatuchak

Thanks sis  ... Magkano po kaya aabutin per person dalawang sakay na train going to chatuchak? Tapos mga sis kaya po ba ang half day sa chatuchak? Malapit po ba ang chatuchak.? Kaya ba if sa day1 ITI namin. Kung 10am ang dating namin tapos up to 2 pm kami chatuchak diretso kami ng ayutthaya? Ok ba sa hapon yung ayutthaya? TIA

Pratunam to Niramit theatre umabot sa 250 baht yung taxi meter. super traffic pa yan. Pratunam to grand palace around 300 baht.

@sis lakwatsa-tama si sis kriztina, mga 200baht nga yung siningil sa amin.ok sana mag-bike pero huwag ganun ka-init...pero yung mga europeans na nakita ko na nagbi-bike nun, hay, sobrang pawis sila...kailangan mong magpalit talaga ng shirt...

^ hindi ko matandaan, siguro one hour. pero mas ok yung maaga para may time for picture taking  kase maganda din yung surrounding area. Enjoy!:)

@ianne16. sabihin mo lang sa taxi yung place or show the map (hirap kase sila sa English), agahan nyo lang pumunta para hindi matraffic kase touristy tlaga yung place. Enjoy!

@mrs. sweet. yung first time ko with my mum sa bkk, we booked day tours, mas mahal lang compared sa kau lang ang iikot. You can ask the hotel staff (I think every hotel has this  service, nagiiba lang sila sa price). May kasama na din tourist guide yung package.

yung tourist guide ba na gusto mo is someone who'll accompany you to go around the city, or guide lang sa isang tourist spot?  Hirap silang mag english so I am not sure kung makakahanap kau ng guide to accompany you. Although u can hire a guide (especially in grand palace) to further explain information about a certain place, most tourist spots naman have brochures written in English.

You could also search the internet on how to go around the city and information about the best tourist spots there. Enjoy!

^thanks for the reply sis. I've already booked for our daytours, para less hassle na lang. Since all of our trips are meant to be for fun and some rests, ayoko na ma-stress pa sa kakaisip where and how to go to those spots hehe

Re tour guides only, they do speak english. Meron pa ako nakita sa net na isang guide na Thai sya pero lumaki sa US. Mahirap lang dito, kayo pa din bahala sa lahat: entrance tickets, lunch/dinner. fares, etc etc. Ok sana ito, ma-experience lahat ng rides nila. Kaso lang, naisip ko, mainit sa BKK, baka sumakit lang ulo ko hahahaha

^ re tour guides, yes they do speak english kase they are required to do so by their association. Usually kase sa hotel din na hhire yung mga tourist guide na accredited ng certain association. And it's true na yung tourist tlaga bahala sa lahat, minsan pati yung food kaya it's important to settle things before you hire them. Although, madali lang tlaga umikot sa bkk if you have a map and lots of baht for taxi fare, but for first timers, siguro nga mas ok yung ganyan. sis, halos parehas init ng pinas at bkk. pati traffic parehas din:)

I agree ^^ halos parehas ang init sa bkk dito. Kaya dont forget to bring your umbrella and apply lots of sunblock. Hehe. Nun pag punta namen nun march, bihira kame nag taxi, lagi kame nag tuktuk kasi kundi choosy yun mga taxi driver, ang haba ng pila sa taxi. Lagi tuloy kame napapamahal kasi mga 100baht singil ng tuktuk kahit na malapit lang yun pupuntahan.
