St. Scholastica Manila Feedback

Hello Mommies,

Just want to check if there are mommies here who sent their kids to St. Scholastica. Naka-reserved na kami and May daw enrollment. My daughter is incoming Grade 1 and I want to ask sana the following:

1. Parking area near St. Scho
2. Do I need to get a sticker so I can drop off and pick up my daughter inside? How to get a sticker?
3. Any incoming Grade 1 based in Paranaque. Naghahanap ako ng masasabayan actually because I'm weeks pregnant palang and I'm a bit worried to drive.

sis, may mga parking areas in front of st. scho, at the back of st. benilde, meron din in front of st. benilde..meron din sa side ng st. scho, estrada st., mas mura ata dito..katabi sya ng building na st. scho din ang may-ari..

wish ko lang sis, baby pa lang kasi anak ko saka boy pa..dun kasi ako nagcollege, and nakikita kita yung mga  kids dun..infairness, strict ang guards re pagsundo ng parents or guardians sa mga students..yung parking laging puno yun sis, lalo na pag rush hour aka labasan na from school, and laging traffic sa ikutan from estrada st. to leon guinto..

hi sis, about sa sticker you can ask sa guard area.. yes very strict sila.. un parking pag early ka naman dumating madali lang s parking pero kng late morning na madami na kaagaw from lasalle nd benilde.

thanks sis! yep, will ask the guard....May pa naman daw enrollment..ano level na anak mo sa st. scho? when u say early like what time hindi pa masyado puno parking? Pag dumating kami ng 6:40am pwede pa kaya?

hi yani090479, my daughter is also incoming grade 1  at st. scho.. yes may 21 to may 23 ang enrollment. though got no prob sa paghatid at sundo, school service niya kasi yung neighbor namin. problem ko pano [textspeak!] yaya na sasama sa kanya, pwede kaya siya ihatid hanggang sa room or dun [textspeak!]  sa lobby area? anyway, malalaman natin yan lahat on may 21.

to ahanihabi, around Php 71k ang tuition fee ng grade 1. you may check their website for your reference.

from washington makati ako sis yani.. excited na rin na bumili ng school bag, inuna ko na school shoes and rubber shoes haha hirap pa naman kc bka mag kaubusan ng bags na maganda.. kawawa pag super big trolley bags though around january ako nag asikaso ng papers, guess pre school nakita ko kasi super liliit nila compare to my duaghter.. nka trolley bags na pero small trolleys lang nman.

^ sis, bawal ang trolley bags sa St. Scho. its a big NO NO for them. I remember meron classmate yung daughter ko 2 yrs ago, my daughter said sinabihan daw ng teacher yung classmate niya to change her bag. My daughter is incoming grade 2 this June, since Prep siya Jansport bag ang binibili ko sa kanya kasi marami silang gamit na dala everyday. Yung mga backpack kasi na may mga characters, wala pang laman, mabigat na 

This June, she will be using Roxy backpack that I bought from States last November. Hindi ko lang pinapakita sa kanya kasi baka gamitin niya agad  Aside from their backpack, they will also use Folder bags. They have 8 folders kasi, one for each subjects. Dapat naka separate yan from their other things. They put their seatworks and assignments kasi there. 

Most of my daughter's school supplies, i bought them na from the school since parang national bookstore ang St. Scho during enrollment  but her notebooks, we buy parin from national bookstore kasi my daughter is so arte, like niya yung mga hello kitty.. their books, naka bundle na yun, you will get it from the bookstore rin, you just have to look for the label. Before you enter the bookstore, you will get their checklist para alam mo yung mga needs ng daughter mo.

Regarding parking and traffic, goodluck satin mga sis kasi SUPER traffic sa lugar na yan. Yung parking is also a problem. We discussed that before sa PTA meeting, the school principal admitted na wala na talaga sila magagawa. Well, ever since I was in college naman, problema ko narin yan, I graduated from St. Benilde kasi kaya hindi ko na makuhang magreklamo sa parking at traffic diyan  normal na sakin yun 

my daughter is a bus rider but during my rest day, ako nagsusundo sa kanya

St. Scho is in my toplist for my daughter, she's in Nursery now & I plan to transfer her to this school next year for Pre-school or K1.

To our sisses who enrolled their kids here for pre-school.. how true na 30 students per class ang pre-school and kinder. and how was the exam like for pre-schoolers? tia

12-15 students per class for k1 & k2.. For grade 1, asa 35 sila...

The exam is ok naman for pre schoolers.. Madali lang for their age..


My daughter is in grade 1.. At first, nabigla sya dahil sa dami ng sinusulat nya everyday.. Hanggang sa nasanay na at bumilis na sa pagsusulat.. Ang problema lang nya today is yung sa subject nila na Christian Doctrine, pag exam kasi nila pinapacompose sila ng 3-5 sentences na prayer with correct spelling dapat.. Pati name and feast day ng saints, dapat tama lahat sa spelling..

Regarding traffic and parking naman, sa umaga, dapat di ka abutan ng 6:40am sa daan dahil super traffic na nun.. parking sa umaga is ok.. ang mahirap yung sa pagsundo sa hapon.. 1pm labas ng daughter ko.. and pag hapon, puro school service ang naka park dun.. kung may bakante man, may nakaharang naman at di ka papa parkingin dun..

 overall, maganda turo sa SSC..

Gusto ko sana ilipat anak ko st. scho incoming grade 4... may idea ba kayo kung anong approach nila sa pagtuturo? traditional ba?
