If I may share, If we want to pursue to be a WAHM and for VA jobs.it is very important that we have that passion for learning. I would agree with what others say that we need to learn in order to earn..

Sa akin, most of my experience is on SEO, tapos nag self-study me on website building using wordpress and eventually I got clients out  from that learning. I also do affiliate marketing and online selling ..Lahat ng natutunan ko ay puro self-study and nagagamit ko talaga..kasi I also put it into practice.

Those skills I learned  and some of the money I earn as online freelancer, I also  used it to start with my 3 month old  online business . I am now into a venture of providing solutions for online business and WAHM needs for local market.

Sa ngayon, nagsisimula pa lang naman me but so far naman I got 3 clients pa lang and may mga inquiries na rin for potential clients.

To close, need talaga natin ang magkaroon ng new skills para mas may better opportunity to get for VA jobs and pursue for the desired business. Kasi dapat may back-up or other source of income tayo aside from VA jobs.

^Tama sis, ika nga we have to learn all we can even if we don't have any training andyan naman ang best friend Google.

Pero to update lang, I already went to the VA training last Sat and nakakatuwa kasi mamotivate ka talaga sa speaker and sa ibang gusto rin magwork as a VA. At least dun mejo may konting headstart ka. Like me, OC ako na tao gusto ko maayos ang simula ko pag nagwork ako as VA so we have a list of things we need to do and steps to take.

Just to update, ok naman yung training. Maraming tools na binigay na you would really need pagnagstart ka na sa online jobs. You have to complete the assignments and then magapply din naman sa odesk. Ok din kasi for starters, at least bibigyan ka ng maraming tips to increase your skills and credibility online.

Ganun ba talaga rate as VA, $20/hour?
parang sobrang taas, meron bang nakakacharge ng ganitong rate?

masaya mag work as VA practical since nasa bahay ka lang tipid sa food and transportation. share ko lang first job ko as VA employer ko ay kinontak lang ako thru friendster, japanese siya, tumagal din ako ng 1 and a half year, wala naman kontrata eh, I worked 6 hours a day 6 days a week, in 1 month pwede ka mag absent ng 2 days at paid at every sunday is restday. madali lang taga publish lang ng application sa android market paulit ulit na minsan nakakasawa na din hehe, 12k ang seldo a month tapos minsan nagpapadala siya ng gifts, nung pasko nagpadala pa ng package na japanese chocolate, yum. hehe. mejo nabugnot na ko sa bahay kaya I tried real estate for 1 year, hindi din stable so for now nag aaply naman ako sa odesk na hired naman ako nung isang araw as virtual assistant ng hiphop artist na naka based sa japan help ko lang siya about sa business nya online and personal stuff, my rate is $3 per hour.

Hello, I can share some advice, I hope this would help.

1. Internet Connection

- Ito ang pinaka important, pls wag tipirin, most only want at least 1 mbps but require a LAN cable connection, so I guess the most affordable would be PLDT plan 999 3 mbps na.
- Have a back- up internet connection, these are broadband sticks, pocket wifis, places where you can go that have internet when your internet connection at home would fail ( relatives, neighbors, friends house, nearby internet cafe, hotel or motels that have internet. etc )

2. Computer

- At least Dual -core  ---- ito na ang pinaka mababa sa matinong computer na pang trabaho nowadays, sa totoo lang standard na ang core i3 but basta at least dual-core ok.
- We will be doing a lot of multi tasking, as in maraming tabs na naka open kaya ito needed.

3. Good headset (noise canceling) and webcam
- These don't need to be expensive, noise canceling for when we really cant afford a lot of back ground noise kahit na tahimik ang workplace. Webcam is for video interiews, not needed ang HD.

4. Workstation
- I work at our dinner table because I use a laptop and its big and near our phone line, there is also a huge light so I can keep myself awake. I tried to work sa sofa, BAD IDEA, may comforter paako nun kaya argh I was fighting my urges to sleep. SO have a decent computer table, sitting upright, this is work btw lol
- I dont have a table YET but I am actually having second thoughts is getting one because it would be situated in our room where my husband sleeps so ma bbother ko sya sa clicking, video call, calls etc. a good place would be your own room or kahit saan away from noise and distraction.

hmm isip pa ako, but I hope this helps :)

Hello sis patriciaheart

Ask ko lang yung PLDT na 999 na 3mbs, afaik, hindi siya wired and ganyan na inooffer is Broadband..?
Di ba sis hindi allowed ang broadband lang need nila is ang wired broadband line?

Plan ko mag pa install bg mas magandang internet at mabilis I found as PLDT yung 1299 nila.

Thanks
