Mywas able to find a yaya for us.

Pero seriously, gusto na daw kasi umalis dun sa pinapasukan now kasi lilipat ng condo & the space is super small daw its a 1 b/r condo tapos sama sama sila numg amo nya na girl, amo na guy, kid & kapatid na guy nun amo na girl in 1 room tapos no space nga daw to move around so ayaw nya.

Tinanong ko mom ko what's her background & if ok naman, sabi nya the yaya has been w/ the family daw for the last 7 months. Has 3 kids in CDO & separated from the husband, the kids are staying w/ thr in laws. I was able to speak with her briefly but havent met her yet. Sana ok sya kasi kelangan ko na ng help with my son... The basics i can do but i honestly dont know how to take care of a new born like the paligo part.

Sana talaga this works out!

I got lucky with my yaya. I t was my mother in law who found her, she was the yaya of my MIL's friend's daughter. She is a newborn yaya and has been one for a long time (she's 50+ na) so she definitely knows a lot more than I do on how to care for a newborn! She was the one who recommended my current pedia and when we went for our first checkup my pedia even told me that I don't need to worry about leaving my baby with the yaya as she is very good. What's funny pa is while waiting at the pedia's office, the other mothers recognized her as well! I guess she's notorious for the right reasons hahaha

The only complaint I have is that she treats my baby as though it were her own baby or apo, she always wants the baby with her at all times. There were times when she wouldn't let me hold my own baby or would go out of the room w/ baby if I entered. Early on she would also make comments na the baby prefers her over me (when being carried) or the baby doesn't like my milk coz it tastes bad. I was really getting annoyed na but also talked to her about it. For my baby's first month we stayed with my in laws and the yaya slept with me and baby while hubby slept in another room. Now that we're back home the yaya doesn't feel comfortable sleeping with us so I take care of Hailey at night. Every night the yaya will ask me if Hailey can sleep in their room (Hailey's room) but since it would entail turning on another aircon I say no. There was one night when I thought I had a cold (it was allergies pala) and I had Hailey sleep with yaya in their room, yaya's face literally lit up! Haha she was so happy.

Umalis na ang yaya ko kanina, after 5years straight may yaya kami, kaya super adjustment talaga ako although I have two kids ages 12 and 5, kaya managable naman kaso ang household chores, kaya call for help muna ako sa mama ko to look after our kids, while still looking for new yaya.

I am really praying makahanap kami matinong yaya.

Our new yaya finally arrived last Tues night. Me naman im also ilang bec personally i prefer sana to have our household to ourselves but with the baby, kelangan talaga ng may hh & yaya.

::) lets see how this works out.

Mga my husband & i finally spoke last night and decided na di namIn type talaga itong new yaya. Gut feel lang pero there's something we dont like & trust abt her. Tapos naasar pako kahapon kasi my son used his CD eh medyo malaki pa sya  g konti so i think the pee leaked. I mean isnt it basic na pag nag wiwi palitan?! Chakanaasar ako kasi ngayon panga lang na nandito pa ako di na maayos eh what more pag wala na ako & i go back to work diba?

My wuestion wouldbe how do you ladies suggest i speak to her when i let her go? Which i plan to do na sana by tom.

Khriseee - I'm happy that your yaya loves your kid but be wary din kase sometimes they forget their boundaries and they cross the line.

May mga yaya talaga na todo training talaga dapat, because hindi pa rin sila nagiging ina at ang level ng common sense nila dapat tayo ang stoop down, we need to talk to them and train them in a way that they can understand, kahit na maging paulit ulit na tayo.

We finally got rid of the yaya! Yay! I think we really made the right decision, ang gaan ulit ng aura ng house namin chaka mas maaliwalas ang feeling.

I told her yeaterdy afternoon & sent her packing this AM. Nalaman ko pa from our HH na madami syang reklamo, kabago bago palang nya. Grrrrr!

Question? Do tour yayas just solely/exclusively take care of your babies/kids or do they also have other chores? If yes, what are the other stuff that you assign them to do?

question mga sis: magkano ang gastos nyo kay yaya aside from salary? magkano ang food allowance per month, yung toiletries nya at iba pa.. tsaka pano yung food nya? lahat ng makita nya sa ref or sa kitchen pwede nya kainin?

kasi ako parang more than 10k ang nadagdag sa budget para kay yaya..

True, though I'm playing it by ear for now though as I've never managed household help or yayas previously. Any tips you can share on how to keep them in line?
