^thank you so much. i love GT forum. I don't see the point of even approaching or trying to reach them if out of budget. I will be wasting their time and mine. Thank you!

I got Joy SG for our wedding for a 3-tier cake. the 2 tiers are mock lang. Only the base yung edible but she converted the mock tiers into sliced cakes that can be served for dessert since we had a sit down dinner.

Super sarap! Mas tumatagal sa ref, mas masarap hahahaha! The base cake we gave some to our friends who stayed until the end of the wedding kasi anglaki niya! We brought home the rest and it lasted for a week pa yata.

sis sparklingjewel baka your caterer has a tie up with a cake provider? not sure if mas tipid though. Ours is included but we want a simple cake din. Probably 2-3 tiers with white icing and flowers. i saw din mga croque em bouche. not sure if happy cream puff makes those. or you can consider a naked cake?

I liked yummy yumi's (yumi castrillo) on her instagram and i tried it before sa bridal fair--moist and not too sweet. i think arounf 15k though for a three tier all edible cake and can be cheaper if you want a smaller one.

^Not getting it from the caterer kasi it will be an additional 16k, and i dont even want a fancy cake. Yung naked cake cute sana, unique pero parang it is too delicate to be transported and no one specializes in that yet here in the Philippines so im kinda scared :(

Hi sis sparkling jewel, if you don't mind, and if you are not that much into fancy cakes, maybe you may want to try cake supplier.  It's D' Sisters.  They are Cavite based, from Imus, thus transportation charges will be minimal, maybe even none at all, since your wedding is in Angelfields lang naman.  You can just try looking for them in Facebook. Mostly reasonable naman yung prices nila.  Sila yung minsan na cake supplier ng Town's Delight.

They were recommended by my friend who's mum is one of the owners.

Thank you for the advice! I don't want all layers to be edible sans but it looks like its more "cost effective" to be able to actually eat all layers. But definitely considering Joy San Gabriel and Jody Uson. I will only be asking these two suppliers for their price list.

I remember at my brothers wedding, we had to take home an entire box of cakes by Penk Ching but i thought her cake was NOT yummy. cake tasting was good but actual cake = very dry.

For me the prettiest and tastiest cakes Ive ever seen are from The Delightful Miss Joyce. Check out her instagram. Quite pricey though but gosh I thought the flowers she used on her cake was real. But it is all edible! Thats how skillfully made her cake decors are. Super gorgeous cakes and yummy too in unusual flavors. If budget was not an issue I would definitely get from her.

Joy is in the bridal fair this weekend and I got her pricelist through email. Isn't it too much for a 15k cake? that's the minimum for Tagaytay plus the 3,800 OOT fee.

Mukhang walang rave si Bethany dito.. how much ang range nya sa nakakaalam??

^i asked my husband if its okay to have a 5 tier cake and he says its too much, 3 layer is enough.

Modifying my post:

I went to the bridal fair today and tasted the sample cakes of Joy SG and I must say very tasty talaga. I asked few quotes and details and have decided to get them and just keep the cakes for my family since they said they can convert it into mini cakes which can be given away. So with the quote for Tagaytay wedding I am on a 20k mark for my wedding cake.

sis yumi castrillo makes naked cakes. i think she assembles it at the venue itself so you don't have to worry about the transpo part. thinking of a 1 layer cake since we'll just be the ones who'll eat it  and para sure na kasya sa ref after.

^I spoke with her na sis pero mahal siya kasi. Hehe i will maintain na titipirin ko talaga ang cake! We will ask local bakeshops (not sure pa what) siguro to make one for us nalang since napakasimple ng gusto ko. I also read Yumi comment na nahirapan sya sa transport ng naked cake.

Hello Ladies! Inquire ko lang yung opinion nyo regarding wedding cakes. Should we get it pa ba separately or okay na yung cake provided ng caterer? Thanks sa magrereply.  ;)

Has anyone here ordered a cake from Hearts and Bells?? =)

I was rushing in the bridal fair and didn't bother tasting the cake samples and just indicated carrot cake. Someone told me the red velvet is better.  Can you share which is the best flavor to get?

Hi sis Chili1113, I ordered cake from Hearts and Bells (with Red Velvet) before. I would say it tastes normal, I mean, its not like the red velvet cake from Karen's Kitchen :)

Just placed our order with Karen's Kitchen today. :) We are getting a 3 layer cake (14", 10" and 6" in diameter) with diff flavors: red velvet, chocolate ganache and carrot cake. Frosting will be cream cheese because I am anti-fondant (hehe) and best of all -- within our budget! We met Karen Young and she's soooo nice. I love that she wasn't upselling her cakes and kept telling us that at the end of the day, it's our choice as a couple. :) :)

^Hi reese: wow you cake sounds so decadent! I love all edible cakes. My brother and future SIL is also opting for a 3 layer all edible cake =) Their goal is to get a really yummy all edible cake which they really plan to serve at the wedding.

Hehe although for myself, I cant do all edible as I am ordering a 5 layer and it is too expensive. My last wedding kasi I had a 3 layer so I wanted to do something different this time. So Im not being particular with the taste na haha or else it will be so expensive too.
