i think women burns 1000-2000 calories per day in a normal/sedentary lifestyle. excess calories will turn into fat pag hindi na burn.  nung nagygym ka pa, nasusunog mo yun extra calories kaya ganun ang weight mo.  kung same ang eating habit mo nung nag gygym ka, malamang tataba ka talaga.

Sad but true. It only takes 2 weeks to lose all the benefits of whatever excercise routine you're on. Depends then on your level of fitness, the more fit you are it may take longer. So if I'm gone for a week sa gym panic na ako, I not only feel sluggish and awful, I miss excercises' endorphin rush badly. You do get addicted to this pag long term gym goer ka.

My trainer recommends maintaining a good eating plan if you leave the gym. If you go back to your normal eating habits w/o excercise, well you've already gone through this, weight gain is inevitable. I've seen it often enough. Pati ako na gym rat pag sumobra kain ko tumataba din ako. That said di naman kelangan sa gym ka palagi to have an excercise routine. Walk, jog (slower pace) sa street, do videos if meron, sports, housework, gardening or whatever fun sa 'yo para di ma bored di ba? Basta may some form of physical activity maintained for 30 mins 3-4x/week your ok na. The motto is any excercise is better than nothing.

your body adapts to the exercise you do, when you stop, your body adapts to meet the lowered "stress" you put on your body.

"use it or lose it" sabi nga nila.

i dont think its JUST the gym, its an overall effect. its always a mix of exercise diet and rest.
if one thing changes in the mix, the body responds.

sadly it takes much less time to become detrained than it does to become retrained.

if you wanna keep the body, you have to keep active somehow. i mean we all know we can't stay the same forever--people get old and the body ages and changes through the years. we can just slow it down with exercise etc.
