Breastfeeding Advocate Pediatricians, pls recommend!

can anyone recommend a pedia in CGH or St. Lukes QC or USTH, either sa tatlo.. who is a breastfeeding advocate at appointment system ang check up? and also yung hindi rin masyadong mahal ang vaccines. thanks

dr ernesto santiago. hindi sya talaga breastfeeding advocate. but he will not contradict your plans of exclusively breastfeeding your baby. he will ask you only how much consumption ni baby. i did not hear him mentioning about giving formula.

^ I do not know exactly what you mean by hardcore.  I do not have Dr. Bernardo's number but you can try calling TMC's trunkline 6356789 and ask to be connected to her clinic.  How do I know she is a BF advocate?  During a photo exhibit last August (Breastfeeding Awareness Month) at TMC, most of the moms and kids na kasali sa exhibit are patients of Dr. Bernardo.    I think she is also a certified international lactation consultant, google na lang to check her credentials.

^ I checked Chronicles of a Nursing Mom.  Dr. Bernardo is indeed an IBCLC-certified breastfeeding consultant.

IBCLC is an international board that certifies breastfeeding consultants.  So you can say hardcore, I guess.

Dr cristina berbardo is indeed IBCLC-certified. She's the pedia of my sister's twins. By appointment only. I went to her clinic at st lukes global city once, not for a pedia consult but for a breastfeeding coaching session. She's very nice.

hindi hardcore breastfeeding pedia ko, si dr santiago. but he is pleasant. will explain everything to you. anytime you can text him and you will get replies pwera lang pag meron syang patient.

he will not contradict your breastfeeding plans. althoough hindi nya ako binigyan ng tips about it kasi i think alam nya ginagawa ko.

at ease kami agad mag asawa sa kanya agad. kasi pedia na nakuha ng ob ko noong nanganak ako e naimbyerna ako. i forgot her name actually.

pero kasi sa healthyway pag tumawag ka at nagpa apointment ka, number mo agad na makuha e #4 ka. kasi ang 1-3 alotted sa mga naunang walk-ins pero kung wala naman, go ka na. so i don't call anymore. 10:30 am dating ni doc sa shang healthway every sat and sun kami punta

Yung maalam talaga chaka nag e-explain sa parents. Yung iba kasimg pedia di nag e-explain or parang mashadong scientific kaya di maimtindihan ng parents.

^ dr bernardo is a mom herself. when i saw her, super pleasant kausap. She explains well. Matanong yung sister ko and i guess she's satisfied naman with dr bernardo. Her twins are also 16m old, 1 day older than my daughter.

Si dr chen naman, very malumanay and patient in answering questions and mag-explain. She's a breastfeeding advocate also. Mga homeopathic medicines ang binibigay niya, which we like and ok din response ng daughter ko.

My pedia sa cardinal is a breastfeeding advocate - her name is Dr. Joy Ty-Sy.

Her clinic is at cardinal she has clinic halos everyday naman afternoons nga lang.  Walang appointment sa kanya - you have to line up.  Trick is to call the secretary para she can tell you pag wala ng tao.

I have another pedia - a pedia derma, he's not a breastfeeding advocate perse but respects that you are breastfeeding.  sa kanya walang pila and parang walang tao all the time (thats why i like to going to him!) relaxed ang mood and walang pila! hahahaha...

^ yup, by appointment din, though sometimes we have to wait a bit like mga 15-30 minutes pag may nasingit na baby na maysakit like fever/cough etc. they sometimes allow singit for those, parang semi-emergency case, which i dont mind personally kasi na-singit na din kami before when my baby was sick. Otherwise, wait time is mga 5mins lang.
