sis ilang taon na baby mo? here's what i did before and even now lalo na kung ayaw niya magtoothbrush.

- sabay kayo magtoothbrush, ask him to hold his own brush then gayahin ka niya,
- sing while brushing ( just like the commercial)
- i suggest you try sanfluo. (kasi pigeon, medyo mabula na siya e,ako combi ngayon sa baby ko. she's almost 3 yeas old, so i put the pigeon first then cover it with sanfluo ) ayaw kasi niya yung pigeon alone, kasi nalunok niya last time, feeling niya super bad, so pag nakikita niya na yun yung toothpaste ayaw talaga.
- try other brushes, colorful ones, yung hindi din harsh sa baby mo. firefly has kiddie brushes na may light, or other brand din sa mall. madami cuties dun.

HTH.

Try mo sansfluo or any other fluoride-free toothpaste.

sis, try mo din battery operated toothbrush, easier to use on baby and mas effective and i also recommend sansflou, i buy this fr mercury and eto lang ang gusto nyang lasa ng toothpaste. sabi ng dentist, kailangan pilitin daw tlaga magtoothbrush kahit ayaw.

Anong month si baby nung nag start nyo i brush ang teeth? I've read sa mga baby books na as long as may ngipin na. Feasible ba yun?

We started brushing baby's teeth at around 9 months. when she had her first teeth, tooth wipes muna gamit namin, spiffies. Before she had any teeth, sterile gauze with dr edwards water. Nung may teeth na nangangagat na so toothbrush na.

We used pigeon lesson 1 toothbrush. Sansfluo toothpaste una kong binili pero may parabens pala so i stopped having her yse that. We use chicco apple banana flavor. Gustong gusto niya. I tried chicco strawberry, earths best strawberry pero ayaw niya.

When i bought her a baby banana bendable toothbrush, mas na-engganyo pa siya. She would hold it by herself muna tapos after niya maglaro, ib-brush siya ni yaya.

When she was 14m old and had 16 teeth na, i brought her to a pedo-dentist who advised to change the toothbrush from silicone bristles to nylon. Same toothpaste pa din but he prescribed a fluoride supplement called infaflor.

Tapos dip the toothpaste in baking soda to whiten teeth.

We started brushing baby's teeth nung 1 year old siya. At first ayaw niya talaga, pero pinilit ko. What i did was, ako rin kunwari nagtu-toothbrush sabay kami. Then days after, lagi nya na tinuturo toothbrush nya, kaya 3x a day siya nagtu-toothbrush. PArang time to time gusto nya magbrush ng teeth nya. Dapat at first kasi make brushing teeth fun, pag una pa lang kasi natakot na, naku ang hirap na lalo pag-tootbrushin. Even sa mga meds nya, we're not having hard time na pinumin sya.

My daughter's like this too. Actually, she likes brushing her teeth on her own pero what she does is she sucks lang on the toothpaste kaya ako talaga nagbbrush ng teeth nya. And everyday yan, iyakan blues kame.

We tried buying her a baby alive doll na may new teeth para sabay sila mag-brush; we tried brushing our teeth kasabay sya; we bought her a dvd of elmo brushing his teeth; mga kung ano-ano talaga. Eh ayoko naman na sya lang nagbrush ng teeth kase gusto ko maayos and I wanna brush her tongue too. So ayun, away kame each time :(

I used to struggle with my daughter din when it comes to brushing her teeth. I tried brushing with her and she likes it pero feeling ko hindi rin nalilinis yung ngipin niya pag sya ang nagb-brush pero ayaw din nyang ako ang mag brush sa kanya, so one time, inipit ko sya with her arms on the side (like riding a horse-- i'm not being sadista, I just want to make sure na na-brush teeth niya). You know what? She thought we were playing a game and she liked it. Hahaha... She struggled at first and kunwari mahuhulog ako and she liked it. Simula noon, sya na ang nagre-request for mommy to "ride the horse". Hehe... Whatever works for the both of you siguro.

By the way, we use orajel or aquafresh training toothpaste for my daughter. It's safe to swallow and she likes it and naalis yung sour milk smell unlike with sansfluo, feeling ko di pa rin nalinis yung mouth niya. As for the toothbrush, we use colgate or aquafresh 1 to 3 yrs.

^I use Sansfluo (strawberry) din sa baby ko sis.. tama ka hindi nga naalis yung sour milk smell sa mouth and tounge niya... pero good thing naman enjoy siya while brushing her teeth, we don't struggle talaga. I'm planning to change her toothpaste pag malapit na maubos. TIA! :)

Hello!
about toothbrush, how do you clean and keep it? di ko alam kasi kung kaylangan naka airtight yung container ng brush or open air lang.

We are still using stage1 brush ng pigeon, gusto ko na iswitch sa stage 3 pigeon para brush na talaga.

Mamapeew - Natawa naman ako when I imagined you and your kid  ;D

With my daughter, her yaya or her daddy holds her legs and arms habang binu-brush ko yung teeth nya. She's quite strong kaya ang hirap.

Nakakatawa talaga kami, twelvth_goddess. Madalas kasi out of town ang daddy kaya wala akong katulong humawak sa kanya pag pumapalag.

There are times that I let him brush my teeth. Just for him to get the idea. I never had problem in brushing his teeth naman.=)

help sis, my son is turning 10 months old next week and im still having a hard time ion brushing his teeth. 8 na ngipin nya, 4 sa baba at 4 sa taas.  his pedia wants me to use the old school method by using a cloth and dipping it in water, pero ang hirap kasi nangangagat sya or he closes his mouth kahit na nandun pa daliri ko with the cloth. so masakit. sabi ng pedia nya e balutan ko nalang daw daliri ko ng mas makapal pa para hindi ako masaktan, pero sya naman nahihirapan kasi nga mas malaki na ipapasok sa mouth nya. kaya hindi ko magawang araw arawin pag bbrush ng ngipin nya. iyakan sabay hahawakan ng dad nya sa kamay at paa, nakakaawa. ayoko namang ma trauma sya sa pag ttoothbrush lang.
