^ ganun sis. haven't tried their food yet, nagustuhan ko lang un themes/styling nila based on what i saw on their fb. they quoted around 40k for 100 pax. parang mahal if for props/styling lang.

Pose&Print and Hearts&Bells.  magfinalize na kami sa June. pwede pala yun sa fair/expo sila ibook? though we're not thinking of upgrading naman.. ang sabi lang kasi ni ng AE nmin sa Oasis, pagnakapagdecide na kami sakanya daw sasabihin kasi may mga pipirmahan pa..

oh wow i did not know that you can book them pala sa fairs for upgrades. ah so better pala na ikaw na mag contact dun sa cake supplier then contact AE ng Oasis... sa hearts and bells, mas okay ba itsura ng cakes then yun quality ng taste?

sis switan9el di naman directly booked talaga namin si hearts&bells..ngbayad lang kami ng down for the upgrade then sinend or fyi ko nalang si AE ng oasis para manote na nia na sila na supplier namin..then naka cc nalang din si AE for our cake design..

sis chinitaida mas mabilis kasi pag direct ka na kay supplier para maadvice mo sila sa mga details na gusto mo..puro fyi nalang kay AE..hehe..yung kinuha namin is red velvet and chocolate..masarap naman yung chocolate..red velvet is so-so lang..di namin naubos agad kaya napanis na after 3 days.. eto pala cake namin..cake topper is from doodledworks..kinuha namin sila kasi mas mura upgrade nila compared sa ibang supplier ng oasis..

I am choosing between Oasis and Light of Love. I have been to LOL yesterday and I'm yet to see Oasis this week. Any insights on the two venues? TIA!

hi sis, i suggest you see both i am an oasis 2015 bride, haven't seen lights of love though.

pros:

1) i like the payment terms, divided into 4 of 25% each so not so hard on the pocket.
2) parking slots
3) package inclusions are ok, although limited lang ang caterers. if you like high end caterers like bizu or kbyC, you have to book the venue only kasi di sila naka package, and that is quite pricey.
4) malapit sa church namin which is mt carmel
5) 3 halls to choose from depends on the volume of your guests. i got the orchard coz i was aiming for an intimate celebration.
6) drapes

cons:

these go out to all oasis brides para aware tayo and also be careful in some aspects. i recently heard a couple of negative reviews about them from 1 of my suppliers, which i have also read here:

1) electricity charge.
10 amps lang po ang allowed ng oasis, which is very minimal. this is in the contract. if you are getting L&S like me, average nyan is 50 amp. you will have to pay php 1,500 for every additional 10 amp. and this amount is not in the contract. please ask your AE about this. i have heard hindi consistent ang sinasabi nilang fee.

i just find this very 'taga'. i mean for an event, 10 amp lang ang allowed considering andami ng suppliers. tapos ang mahal ng excess. i just don't know with other venues. but with the supplier that i spoke with, oasis lang daw ang ganito, masyadong 'ma business'.

2) if you are or if you feel like mag eextend kayo ng oras sa venue, please tell them ahead of time. if not, papatayan talaga kayo ng kuryente. and this has happened already.

yes, this maybe in the contract. what i do not like is walang consideration. atleast someone should be reaching out if magttime's up ka na, hindi un maloloka ka na lang or aasa sa standby genset ng supplier mo.

3) damages
well, lahat tayo may deposit na refundable after the event. at times, Oasis will call 1-2 weeks after the event to inform you of any damages on the venue. this is just quite shady kasi masyadong matagal ang weeks, how do you know it really happened on your event? just something we need to be careful of.

that's all i don't mean to be nega or subjective here. just an FYI. happy preps.

We both checked LOL and Oasis before..LOL has more halls and lot pa ata but we chose Oasis cause of being more accessible and mas malaki parking space and with valet pa pala..And gusto ko talaga yung may drapes which LOL does not have on their smaller halls..We got the verandah in oasis..

For the electricity charges that most of the clients complain, be sure to indicate your AE on all your suppliers that will be using electricity so they can sum up the total electricity that will be used..In our case, I got all the wattage to be used by each of our suppliers and note them to our AE para sila na magdetermine kung may additional pa kami..we didn't pay any extra charges naman kasi we make sure sa OTD namin na idoublecheck lahat ng nakita nilang damages before our wedding setup para hindi samin singilin un..

How was richgold? food and styling?

Hello ^_^ We booked Richgold for the awesome-tasting food. The best, so far 


Unfortunately, their stylist Carlo Verdadero is VERY DIFFICULT to communicate with. I am a very patient person, but a month of no reply after once a week of texting? We've already made a downpayment sa kanya nun, ha. 


May nakita pa kaming setup ng Richgold before, as in actual wedding reception sa Oasis. Mukhang lanta yung flowers 


We're about to hire another stylist in 2 weeks. We super love the food in Richgold, but My God, I hope they hire another stylist.

^ onga sis mejo magulo kausap si carlo.. we got richgold before dahil sa styling nila of twigs tapos ngiba sila lately nung kind of twigs..hiningan pako ng additional payment para lang mapush yung lumang klaseng twigs na centerpc nila..ayoko na makipagaway nun dahil malapit na din wedding namin.. inform mo nalang si AE mo reg your concern para sila na mismo kumausap kay carlo..

@chinitaida: Hello! We're in the process of detailing the reception this month. Ours is just simple white flowers in tall vases pero nasa mga 30k ang additional kasi upgrade sya from the basic ng caterer namin. I know someone who's also getting married in Tagaytay Highlands in Jan 2015. Dapat rustic-something ang theme nila, pero 100k ang additional so they chose to have simple flowers instead

didn't regret booking oasis for our event venue. i strongly suggest lang you get the venue rental kasi ang dami restrictions pag nakapackage with caterer.

Hello mikaidg5! Sa oasis din ako this coming january. And joasiah's din yong pinili namin na caterer, yong package yong kinuha namin sa oasis.

Nako nako. Just read an FB post from a photographer friend na kanina raw pinatayan sila ng Oasis habang nagsspeech yung couple kasi nag exceed na raw ng time. Ewan ko kung ano reason behind ng Oasis pero nainis yung mga photographers.
