We were in Subic last weekend and stayed at Forest View Residences. We bought vouchers from Metrodeal. Surprisingly, ang ganda ng villas dun. Fully renovated sila at may modern yet homey touch. Our villa has a complete kitchen at nakapagluto kami ng breakfast the next morning. May cookwares at dining wares na rin na kasama.

On our last day, we dropped by Royale Choices sa tabi ng Harbor Point. Mas maayos ang stocks doon compared to the other Royale. My fiance bought Lacoste shirts at 2,500 pesos each. 3,450 pesos ang price ng classic Lacoste sa malls. I bought chocolates and Dove vanilla shower bath. Naaliw ako sa wide range of shower wash at gels doon!

We were in SBMA last July4-July6. My hubby, 1yr old son and me stayed in Venezia Hotel. I was able to avail the 999 promo for Thursday night. Since 999 lang sya, ang kinuha ko na yun Executive Suite. Well, aestheically, yes the room is nice and big. But it just gave us a creepy aura! Yellow lights lang kasi dun sa and NO Windows sa room so  ang dilim plus ang haba pa ng room. The furnishings are majestic, like curtains in bed stand, carpets, bath tub. But it just added to the creep factor. Si hubby kasi nagkwento na dun sa barko nila (he's a seaman), ganun un hitsura nun bath tub na nilalagyan nila ng bangkay na may yelo kung may kasamahan sila na-deads while nasa gitna sila ng laot at days pa bago makarating sa next port.

Nun 2nd night namin, Standard room lang ang ni-book ko kasi regular rate na sila. We actually liked this better. May window na kasi nasa other side sya ng building and tama lang sya sa amin 3. No more bath tub, shower na lang. Yun nga lang di naman umiinit yun shower water nila.

Location wise, I like this hotel kasi malapit sya Harbor Point, Freeport Exchange stores, Xpresso Cafe, Feng Huang (beside resto). You can also just jog to the boardwalk. Naglakad at pasyal pasyal lang kami dun kasama un anak ko.

Things to do in Subic? May tutuluyan na kasi kami... So I was wondering of other fun things to do there. Like camps or adventure parks or something? I saw Jest Camp online, any feedbacks? Shopping's not on the list. hehe

patulong naman, my family is planning a trip this coming long weekend.  do you have any recos for ok na hotels na ok sa mga kids? i'm looking at seorabeol grand leisure hotel. ok ba dun? 5 adults, 3 kids kasi kami so i'm looking at their family room.  mukhang dun kami makakamura eh.

Buti pa kayo sis, you had a good experience with Forest View. We were so DISAPPOINTED with the unit we rented!  We made a reservation for 2 nights, and villa talaga hinanap namin because we had 7 adults and 2 kids in our group. We were first given the "maintained" unit - na ang scary/madumi ang kitchen, ref; lazyboy was sira na; beds smelled like mothballs. So we requested kung may ibang unit available. Kudos to the staff naman, they let us check a unit na medyo mas maayos, the "refurbished" ones.

Pero hindi pa din talagang malinis and maayos. My sis-in-law had insect bites na mukhang from bedbugs nung humiga sya sa sofa (even with a sheet covering); sa ref meron pang naiwan na balot ng some food sa freezer, who knows gaano na katagal yun doon! the shower stalls, binabaha. May closet doors na sira and exposed ang screws. And the whole unit smelled of molds    so we cancelled the 2nd night's reservation, di na namin ma-take to stay another night.

Oh, and the pool that looked good on their website? It was a really small one... okay lang sana kung malinis, but my nieces said may parts where "there was green stuff" - algae?! 

We transferred to Casablanca, and narealize namin sana dun na lang kami from the 1st night. We got a family unit that had a mezzanine level, nice furnishings (and no moldy smell ). Very good service from the staff, and they had a very nice pool area.

Feedback on Subic Grand Seas Resort? Planning to stay there in December with kids and parents. Strict ba sila sa number of guests per room?
