@sis jeax hindi kami nagpunta sa banned islands.. they want to teach a lesson daw dun sa mga tagabanua (correct me sa spelling)

di kami nakapunta sa malcapuya at banana island kasi malakas alon nung friday at hindi pumayag ang coast guard kasi sabi open sea na yun.. so we end up @ calumbuyan island...

naku sis kame nga yung kasama nyo..sa r2r kame magstay hehe..wala pa text si ms. Rina eh..siguro follow-up nalang 2 weeks before the trip..Sana ok ang weather ng dates na yun.

^sorry sis, just saw them pero hndi ako pumunta ng banks. I suggest you withdraw na in Manila. Kawayanan Grill lang ang alam kong tumatanggap ng credit cards.

Yes it's raining heavily with considerable strong winds. Nagcancel na ng flights ang Cebupac ng Friday & Saturday. Luckily, Airphil didn't cancel our trip going home & was on time. Actually ganuon din nuong umalis kami ng Manila. We have the same pilot for both flights, Capt. Michael Roa. I'm aware of airphil's bad rep but I guess we are the lucky ones.

Our DIY couple trip (5 days 4 nights) to Coron:

Air Fare: We have a target date & with no luck in piso fare, we settled for the discounted promo.

Accomodation: Mommita's Lodge cost P700/night for a room good for two with air-conditioning & cable TV. Nag-increase na sila kasi mahal ang pagpapaandar ng generator. We stayed in the Green Room which is closest to the smaller T&B (there's 2 shared t&b upstairs). There's an option to include sulit breakfast (P195) or dinner (P220).

Day 1 - Mt. Tapyas & Maquinit Hotspring. Tricycle cost P100/person and hot spring entrance fee is P150/person.

No fee in Mt. Tapyas but the refreshments vendors (usually teenagers) will go with you & will be your tour guide as you climb to the big cross. Saw tour guides that will ask them to do this talaga dahil pagod na atang umakyat paulit-ulit. It will be a kind gesture if you buy a bottle of H20 from them or give a little tip but it's not required.

Maquinit Hotspring was salty & very hot. I've been to Laguna & Bicol but this is by far, the hottest spring I've tried.

Boat Rental: My contact Elmer gave us to Kuya Darwin & Kapitan Nior. This is what we agreed even before I left Manila. We agreed on P8,000 for the itinerary below:

Day 2 - Coron Islands (Siete Pecados, Twin Peaks, Banol Island, Twin Lagoon, Barracuda Lake and Kayangan Lake)
Day 3 - Lusong Coral Garden & Gunboat to Calumbuyan Island; then go straight to Banana Island to stay overnight.
Day 4 - Banana Island, Waling-Waling Sand Bar, Bulog Sand Bar and Malcapuya Island.

Two thumbs up to Kuya Darwin & Kapitan. Napakamaasikaso, mabait at the best magluto! Nuong last night namin, nagrequest na kaming magpaluto sa kanila kasi mas masarap pa silang magluto sa mga resto sa town proper. Plus, talagang sasamahan kang mag-explore at magsnorkel. Sya nagttake ng picture ni bf sa malalalim na area at sa kanya ako nakahawak habang nagssnorkel kapag wala si bf. We will definitely get them again when we go back to Coron.

Medium boat sits 8-12 person; exclusive of accomodation, food & entrance fees. The weather didn't permit us to go to Calumbuyan. We didn't care because we are having too much fun in Lusong. Sabi nga ni bf, school of fish attacks. Best snorkeling site. PERIOD.

I love Banana Island. Luluhod lang sa sand tapos pagbaba ng ulo mo sa tubig, ayan na ang mga isda as if they are waiting for you. And of course, the breathtaking Twin Lagoon. Grabe, Coron got it all.

Day 5 - Pasalubong Shopping galore. We went to Coron Souvenir Shops, the very charming Nanay Lita's Kasuy and I feel so lucky to buy Lamayo sa bahay mismo ng gumagawa. Freshly made kaya ang sarap sarap!

Thanks to Capt. Michael Roa of Airphil who didn't turn around like Cebupac and brought us back to Manila.

curious lang ako, yung quote nya samen na 7950 last eek, private tour daw yun. nung kaninang nakausap ko sya, day 2-3(which are the island hopping days) are group tour na... it may be for safety purposes para we`d use the bigger boat, and we get to meet other people, pero was a little surprised... ganon din ba ang sabi sa inyo?

hi sis huit, ang nasa planned itinerary namin is the below. I`m confirming with charlie the itinerary pa, itetext daw nya kasi sira laptop nya, haven`t received it yet since we spoke last evening

Day 1 - half day Coron Island Tour; yes, half day kasi most of the banned places would be in this tour (?)

Day 2 - Sangat plus those part of the Coron island tour na nearby sa Sangat

Day 3 - Calumbuyan or Malcapuya area (pero since masama ang panahon at mas trip ng friend ko, it`ll most likely be Calumbuyan

Day 4- Coron Town tour plus pasalubong

Suggestion lang sis curiouschellie, on your Day 2 don't miss Lusong Coral Garden & Gunboat. Malapit lang ito sa Sangat. Then just stay overnight sa Banana Island. Mas maayos ang accomodation & mas maganda ang Banana Island kaysa sa Malcapuya Island imo. Enjoy!!

what made you decide on Balai Binda?

2 lang kami e, so feeling ko ok na rin isama na lahat kay Charlie.
