kasi a friend went there for TCA , she was charge 1,500 but no facial TCA lang  talaga with DP

but she's happy with the result but still wondering walang facial na kasama though me freebie sya na kojic soap

in my case naman, i never have TCA alongside DP and vice versa. It's either GP, facial, TCA OR GP, facial, DP.

Yup, i love doc foronda's facial treatment. Naappreciate ko TCA and DP procedures nila kasi efficient yung paggawa.. ive tried those 2 treatments outside na kasi and unsatisfactory yung results. So i keep coming back talaga kay doc. Even steroid injection for pimples, mas effective sa kanila vs Let's face it.

I agree with the posts above. I keep going back to Doc 6f. Kahit malayo Makati Med sa akin talagang pupunta pa ako.

I tried Doc Leah Martirez because of the hype going on in Girl Talk. Everybody kept praising her and in addition to that, I learned that it's a lot cheaper pa. It is just in Tiendesitas so mas malapit sa akin.

I went to Doc Leah, twice lang tapos tumigil na ako because of really unsatisfactory outcome. I have zits and some white rashes all over  my cheeks nung nagpatingin ako sa kanya. Nung finafacial na ako, parang kinakayod niya lang ang mukha ko. Akala ko nung una normal lang siya. Tapos laging mabilis. Parang laging nagmamadali kasi nga may mga nakasched na patients waiting outside.

She's nice and friendly but kinda "detached" if that makes sense. I have nothing against her or her personality because i'm after her "being a dermatologist" anyway. I have a scar and she did carboxy on it. Tapos parang lalo pang lumala 

Sabi ko, baka temporary stage lang ito. So after two weeks I gave Doc Leah another try. This time we noticed wala pa rin nangyari sa mga pimples ko. In fact lalo pa sila naging red after niya "kinayod". SO she prescribed to me this antibiotic and she told me to get it from the Generics. I just followed her instructions.

I had it for two weeks. Imagine, two weeks of antibiotics and no effect at all. In fact nagsuka pa ako at nagkafever nung malapit na matapos ang two weeks. Then my mother told me, "Bakit two weeks? Most antibiotics one week lang ha?" Then I checked her prescription again to verify, and sinulat niya "#28" meaning twice a day tapos for two weeks (kasi di ba 28/2=14 days). tapos narealize ko rin, oo nga no. Bakit 2 weeks? Ang antibiotics one week lang ha. Pero still I followed what she said.

After one month all in all, nothing happened. My pimples just got worst. So on my third appointment I was a no-show na. They didn't even ask me if I could come or even sent me a message if I still would like to have an appointment.

I went back to Doc 6F, then I compared how the nurses and the doctor perform their facial. Iba talaga. Mas maalaga. Dahan-dahan, talagang pulido ang gawa. Yes you will pay maybe twice the price but you get a very good quality in return. And their meds are very effective! As in parang ilang days lang nakikita ko na ang improvement. I did not see that in other dermas.

And I will comment again on how they do their facial... Malambot ang kamay nila. They're not in a hurry. ALso, nung TCA ko kay Doc Leah, konti lang ang pagshed ng skin. Kay Doc 6f naman, mas marami akong nakikitang pagbakbak. I don't know why exactly pero I am jus basing it purely on my experience.

I really respect their clinic and their nurses for that.

Ako naman, first TCA pa lang at first batch pa lang ng topical meds, may noticeable improvements na. Oo, may scars pa at hindi pa ako satisfied sa pores ko pero naman kasi, nakaka isang TCA pa lang kasi ako at ang target namin ni doc ay 3-4 sessions. So I really can't expect or demand more at this point. Now, if after 4 TCA sessions eh hindi pa din ako satisfied, then baka I will search for another. Pero so far okay naman sa akin eh. Inaasar ako ng mga siblings ko nung nagbabalat yung face ko kasi super pangit then after, sila ang naglaway sa inggit so ayun, nagpa peel sa labas (hindi sa 6F) pero hindi ganon ka effective yung result. Ako pa din ang winner! haha!

And I'm looking forward to try their local obagi. Nainspire ako kay @herroyalbleakness. Sana effective din sakin.

And yes, hindi sila nagmamadali, lalo na si Doc. Imagine, doctor siya of celebrities and other public personalities pero pag appointment mo, appointment mo talaga kahit pa may nagaantay na VIP sa labas.

So so far satisfied ako sa services nila

Dinadayo ko din sila kahit na super layo ng house ko

I am so far from Medical Plaza pero I really don't mind the taxing and time-consuming trip to doc.

Re: facial, sa akin kasi, nabibigatan pa ako sa kamay nung ibang nurses. But i get results... good ones that i really think the long trip to 6F is all worth it.

On TCA naman, iba sila gumawa (I've tried facial salons + my previous derma). May katagalan lang lalo nung first time ko kasi they meticulously layer thin amounts of the solution. (Hindi sila yung two layers lang na makapal tas tapos na). Yun ata ang secret kung bat mala ahas yung peeling ko every time I have that chemical peel. Oh, except for one treatment na blaaah yung pagbakbak so i complained after a few days (pinakita ko talaga na minute shedding lang nangyari) and Doc didnt hesitate to redo the procedure free of charge.

Aw sis. When I started blogging abt my skin issues and how I patiently try to find a fix for them, I was in the hopes of inspiring other girls like me who may have also felt like giving up on their skin at one point. I blog and share on this forum bec I want ppl like me to realize that it's not the end of the road.

In my case naman, patients ko and colleagues nang aasar kasi para daw ako snake. I time my Tca treatment so that I only show up ugly for work for one day, which is a Friday. Over the weekend, my worst nightmare rakes place and by Monday,bwhen my skin has almost fully recovered, super inggit my colleagues kasi parang baby skin daw and ang fresh tignan. My patients are quite mum abt my transformation naman, sabi sinadya ko daw magpeel para mas pretty nako when I come back for work---which is apparently a lame excuse coz they can't pinpoint why I looked glow-y all of a sudden hehe.

Hi sis. Sorry to say rin eh... that's the truth for me. Doxycycline, 100 mg. 28 capsules ang nakalagay sa reseta.

I took it as instructed. Twice a day. Tapos when my mother told me that antibiotics are supposed to be just one week, I began to think about it too. Each time I needed to take antibiotics, palaging 7 days lang ang recommended ng doctors. When you have fever/infection, etc. I remember 7 days lang. Pero nawala sa isip ko yon and trusted her.

THen I noticed nung papunta ng ng 2nd week, I felt different. Feverish, and I vomited many times even if I had my meal before taking the medicines. And then dun ko narealize it's because of the antibiotics. Also, It has zero effect. As in zero.

When she does facial, mabilis and parang "nagkakayod". I thought it's her style, so why not? But it aggravated the redness of my cheeks. Nung pumunta ako sa kanya, I had those whiteheads, but all of them turned into zits when she did that. And it stayed with me for one month. Her erythro gel does not work that effectively either.

So I went back to Doc 6f kahit malayo to compara na rin. And dun ko nakita ang difference. Maybe sis you haven't tried other dermas to compare? Maganda rin kasi yung may comparison eh.

You told me five sessions before nawala sa iyo? Sa akin kay Doc 6f isang session lang or two sessions lang wala na sa akin. I remember first time ako nagkazits all over my face. Two sessions lang and meds wala na after two months. Kung meron may sobrang madalang lang.

Okay na sa akin na mas mahal, kesa naman maraming sessions at hindi naman ganon kabilis or baka wala pang effect... then my scar, cinarboxy niya, lalong lumala. alam mo yung needle na yon, tapos parang iniscratch niya sa may scar area. ngayon yung scratch na yon problem ko. tapos lagi pang nagmamadali.  sorry to doc... just sharing my experiences.

Yes sis, I agree with you. When I tried Doc Leah, makapal na TCA, pero when I got home and waited for a week for my skin to shed, halos walang nagshed. Konti lang. Sometimes I even thought the one shedding isn't my skin but the erythro gel that I put on my face na tumitigas slightly and yun ang nagsheshed. And then mabilis lang. PArang hindi nagpenetrate nang maayos.

Kay 6f naman mas mabagal. Ang gentle. And you're right about the "layering" thing. They really wait until it sinks into the skin. Tapos kapag may masakit or mahapdi they will ask you and put some water on it. I didn't experience that in another derma.

I guess if there are dermas out there reading this, they will now know how to do it right somehow lol

while I agree with your observation, and I know you meant well, it's quite unfair naman to the patient of doc leah who are vouching for her,

all I can say is they are satisfied and they get the result that they wanted , I'm sure they all just want to express their satisfaction just like you that's why they posted their thoughts and experiences here


even the famous and top of the line doctors may not please all the patients who went to them


I believe kasi in HIYANGAN in everything !!!!

like me lots are vouching for the fast result of a certain products but when I tried it my skin worsen

so maybe that goes for everybody

as the saying goes You can't please everybody

I know you are just expressing your opinion , let them express their's too

Not directly saying the people who support her here are "dishonest". Tama ka sis pwedeng hiyangan. Pwedeng naging allergic lang ako sa gamot or yung iba hindi. Nirisearch ko ulit yung antibiotics and turns out for two weeks siya dapat inumin, etc. Possible naman yon. I am sure doctors always like the  best for their patients.

I'm sorry if the doctor gets to read this or if many people here are closely related to her. I'm just saying "what I've experienced" to be true. That is, because I would like other females to know which one is the best, based on what I've felt and know at a certain extent. I am in no way connected to Doctora Foranda, in fact wala silang kaalam-alam about Girltalk. THey just found it out when dumadami patients nila and they keep talking about this forum.

I respect Doc Leah in what she does, that's her craft, she probably knows me by now kasi ako lang naman ata ang twice pumunta don na biglang nawala. But this is a forum, where people share "real" stories and not simply promote just because they are a relative of this and that. We help each other as women by being honest. We want the best for each other. So if you experience something bad, we share it so that others won't experience it too. Not saying that everybody will experience that. It's just that the probability of going through what I've experienced is likely to happen.

I guess this is my conclusion as of now:
If you want a more affordable derma, go to doc leah. results would not be seen quickly, so more sessions are needed. in other words if you put all your money together, pareho din siya if you'd go for less sessions in a more expensive derma.

if you want to see visible results quickly,  then go to 6f. hassle malayo kasi sa makati med pa. but if you want real results, as in nakikita ang shedding of skin, etc, then she's my bet.

Hi sisses, first time patient din ako ni dra. leah, medyo scared talaga ako to try yung isotretinoin lalo na nabasa ko na nakakadry sya ng skin..dahil hindi naman din ako oily. Dry pa nga ako sa totoo lang. pero ang nirecommend nya sakin is: isotretinoin, and prednisone 2x a day, tapos glyco soap and eryth gel, then sunblock.

meron ba dito na pinrescribed din ng acutrex? how was it naman, medyo hesitant kasi talaga ko subukan.

And yes sometimes kasi sa forum there are posers who just want to promote this and that clinic or whatever  products, even in other forums, so obvious naman minsan,, e gt talkers and me also ,I'm one of those  easily sway because of girls vouching for this and that, hahahaha

kaya mybe it's up to us to really weigh if we really like to try that products, but i knew some girls here who are really patient of doc leah who are really satisfied coz I saw their posts in other forum ,,,I

@amelia_eyeheart, before I went to 6F, I was seeing another dermatologist who also prescribed me doxycycline for 30 days. So I think, not all antibiotics work for only a week. And the antibiotic helped me I believe but as soon as I stopped it, I'm back to square one. With 6F, I'm not taking any oral meds and I am quite happy that I don't need to depend on any.

@herroyalbleakness, actually, I got inspired by your blog! I was then super frustrated with my skin. It has always been my source of insecurity and I've had embarrassing (and at times insulting moments) because of my skin. I just hope that 6F is really my solution. So thank you to you too!

im also a long time patient of Dra sixta foronda, she's really a great dermatologist... a lot of celebrities and co-models will testify about it.
