20 reasons why I dislike Philippines

dito sa ibang bansa pag may naringgan silang nagrereklamo ka sa bansa nila sasabihan ka nila right there and then bumalik ka sa bansa mo. ke totoo man yun or hindi sasabihan ka nila bumalik ka sa bansa mo.

it depends on where you are and the kind of people who are are with. Your friends do not necessarily represent the majority of the country you are in now. and i'm very sure na marami naman Canadians or whatever na kampi sa OPINION ni JIMMY.

Hindi lang naman USO kasi atin mag reklamo via youtube. or to exercise our freedom of speech sa youtube. but marami rami na din ang gumawa ng video against jimmy.

They're comparing a third world country to a first world country naman kasi. iba talaga. dapat alam mo yan dahil nasa ibang bansa ka na. kahit first world pa, meron pa din differences but mas marami ang magiging common denominator amongst first world countries.

i just felt i had to clear the "dito sa ibang bansa" thing. it does not automatically add substance or validity to one's argument or opinion

the first step to CHANGE is admitting the mistake or that there is a lack. kasi kung hindi mo aaminin. then walang pagbabago.

and this level of humility lacks in a lot of Pinoys.

tayo kasi ang nauna sa Asia sa daan ng pag asenso. tinulungan tayo ng mga Amerikano. everyone agrees that we used to be at par with Japan. but now, where are we? Japan is on Top. Korea and Taiwan whole heartedly accepted the US' help. nasan na sila? Korea started their road to success 1 year after OUR EDSA REVOLUTION. Now they manufacture cars, electronics, ships, etc etc.

eh tayo? what's our most modern contribution to the automobile industry? the Pareho?

they know we've had our chances to be at least at par with the successful countries of asia. and they know the we are blowing it day by day.

bottom line is, parang coach yan. kahit na talented ka, at may resources, kung hindi ka makikinig sa coach mo at tingin mo na lagi kang tama. wala kang mararating.

^i agree with that. And I think masyadong emotional at mapusok ang karamihan sa mga Pilipino.

at saka sa sobra nating masayahin, iyong mga flaws natin ginagawa nating positive at  sa halip i-improve hinahayaan na lang  natin just to live by the trademark "only in the Philippines"

Majority of his rants are actually true and yung manner ng pagkakasabi nya eh nakakatawa for me, kase kahit yung mga simpleng bagay na pwede namang palagpasin eh kinaiinisan pa rin nya . Gaya na lang nung pagtilaok ng manok, bumili ka ng pagkaliit-liit na item sa grocery tapos lalagyan pa rin nila ng plastic and resibo - eh pwede naman nyang sabihin "Miss, it's ok, I'll just take the mints together with the receipt". Nag-order sya ng beer na hindi malamig, eh d sana nag-request sya ng yelo, mabilis talaga mawawala lamig nun coz ang init-init dito sa Pinas.  For me, the totality of his video is not offensive at all, well nasa taong manonood na rin siguro yan on how she/he will going to interpret it.

I also watched his latest video, mukha naman syang sincere, parang ngang affected sya masyado. Siguro nakuyog na yun sa Cebu kaya ganun.

ang maganda sa pinas ay yung values na family ties at talagang pagmamahal sa pamilya.. maasikaso ang pinoy, yan ang binabalikan ng mga foreigner dito kaya gusto nila pinay ang asawa nila

kaso kung ganto naman ang economy, halos lahat ng pinoy gusto mag-abroad (plastic yung sasabihin na ayaw nya punta sa ibang bansa? .. hehe )... masarap kasi yung papasok ka sa work to earn a living then enjoy life out of that earnings.. kaso mostly, work to earn a living na kulang pa sa basic needs

I hope okay lang siya right now  . Although naka receive siya ng negative reaction from our fellow Filipino's i think open minded naman ang mga tao na hindi niya intention sirain ang bansa natin, it's just the truth and only speak their minds. At first nakaka offend yung the way siya magsalita pero kung iisipin ay natural na sa kanila magsalita ng ganun hehe! so i have nothing against with him.

 In fact he's brave for telling the truth. Mas maganda sana kung kapwa pinoy natin yung gumawa ng video coz i felt ashamed na dayuhan pa ang magsasabi ng dapat natin iimprove ang Pinas.

But i have to say he earned my respect for apologizing, i hope ganun rin ang ibang kapwa pinoy na maging open minded  .

actually may iilan na "rants" from pinoys sa youtube. you just need to find them. nagkataon lang kasi na foreigner siya kaya napansin. LOL

i think alam naman ng middle class and upper middle class. its the lower 70% that's the problem. yung cultura din nananaig. walang tissue kasi ang tissue ninanakaw. kaya nagbabaon na lang ang mga tao.

mag lagay ka nga lang ng poso sa tabi niyo, hindi magtatagal maraming tao kung saan lupalop makiki igib ng tubig sa inyo.

tao ang magchachange. the gov't has its part but kahit anong tigas pa ng gov't. nasa masa ang problem.

Totally agree.  Pero naman, walang politika na magsasabi nito kung ayaw nyang kuyugin sya ng 70% na yan.

Philippines is a very forgiving country that is ruled by emotions. 

If decision-making and actions are ruled by emotions, walang policies, it will just be like going with the flow, at walang concrete principles to live by.  As a result, I do not see Philippines improving dramatically in this and the next generation.  Unless may long term concrete plan and solutions, whereby it will be implemented strictly, walang awa-awa mentality, may chance pa siguro maging developed country ang Philippines 3 generations from now.  But not in this lifetime.

  Agree, our country sounds like that. Sana lang nagising tayo and whether it's local government na gumawa ng plan to improve ang dapat iimprove sa bansa natin. Napag-iiwanan na tayo ng mga neighboring countries natin dito sa Asia  .

^seems that way sis. well nothing new. andali namang i-bribe ang mga customs e para ipasok ang mga smuggled goods or chemicals for the shabu lab. o kaya naman daan ang mga smugglers backdoor - mindanao. kitams, foreigners ang mga nagmamanage ng mga shabu lab ha. tindi.

I agree.. nung ininterview kami nung nagapply kami ng US visa, tinanong sa amin ng consul yan, kung nagpapadala ba kami para sa family namin sa pinas, and we said yes at sabi niya, yun daw ang isa sa mga bagay na talagang hinahangaan niya sa ating mga pilipino.. kung paano natin pahalagahan ang mga pamilya natin

I guess he's not the one to be blamed. He's just do what he do. Michael Goodman was the director, i guess whether it's foreigner or locals, our fellowmen should take this as a wake up call to improve those negative things na nakikita ng dayo or even tayo napapansin natin yung mga bagay na yun.

I get what they want to say, the message is they love our country but they need us to improve our beloved country. Lahat nang sinabi nila ay facts IMO  .
