^did you have a bad experience with a popular supplier? so far si thor palang ang nariringan ko ng ganito and child lounge (although i don't think they're considered as "popular per se).

backread lang ako dito and just by browsing on the comments and experiences of other mommies you can tell which supplier does not deliver promptly on what was ordered from them.  i am shortlisting my possible suppliers for my next kiddie party and i will avoid those suppliers with bad or no service at all.

Hiyee!! Ako rin i finally booked a P/V for my son's 1st bday on september. I got Cinematic Babies (their Photo + Vid package).  Paid the DP na kanina and signed the contract. Oh and mga sis, i asked them if we can include a provision in the contract re max period within which they would deliver the final output (pix & dvds) and they agreed naman.  So mga sis try niyo na lang din ask yung mga suppliers niyo to insert this provision (stipulate on the max period for them to deliver...) para at least clear and its for our own protection din.

just watched baby james's (bimby's) bday video by thor again. ang ganda! at ang bongga ng party! although i think their rates are high na ngayon.

last year i heard 20k na si thor i like the giveaways sa party ni bimby, ELC lang naman

yung rate pala ni zoombox na nakuha ng friend ko is 6,5k, not 8k she got the 2009 rates pa since she booked them in advance. from 6,5k to 18k. grabe

^grabe namang price increase nyan. Kaya yung nag backread ako nasa 8k lang ang ang namemention na package rate pero pag check ko website nila 15k ang pi naka mura, parang naloka ako sa kahahanap ng 8k na package yun pala tumalon ang presyo. I expect kasi ang price increase 10% to 20% lang. Oh well...

Baka nag-upgrade ng equipment ang Zoombox and other videographers.  Mahal kasi ang equipment nila.  I remember when Jason M upgraded his equipment naging times 2 agad ang rate niya.

I got Zoombox for 6500, pero old rate pa nila ito. Parang 2010 pa ata kase my daughter's birthday is Oct 2011 (1st bday). According to Justine - this is their old rate for MTV type lang (hindi siya full video edit).

Yung 18K na rate nila now for kiddie party is for 2013 na, since mostly eh wedding bookings na daw sila for this year. So sa 18K na yun, it's a full video edit na. Wala na ang MTV type kaya mas mahal na siya.

According to him "we want din po kasi to purchase better equipments like super high end cameras para kahit low light conditions okay po sya. It all returns po sa clients".

It was sis Grayce who got the last MTV type package for 10K. So there, that explains it :-)

Kailangan palang paghandaan itong video hehe.  Baka in 2 years eh 20 or 30k na siya.  Or mag-photo na lang, huwag na mag-video.

^ hindi kaya nagtaas din ang zoombox dahil highly in demand na sila? yeah sayang nga parang Jan this year, I tried booking them at nasa 15K sila non. Dapat pala naginvest na rin ako sa video.
Anyway, ang MTV style, this is the 2-3 minute video of the highlights of the party na may background song. The full edit refers to the edited whole event coverage and this one takes longer time. :-)

nakita ko sa vimeo works nila and theyre nice! sabi rin ng friend ko na kumuha sa kanila before.

I also found another talented person in vimeo. I find her videos to be very fun, happy, energetic plus i like her effects. favorite ko yung erich video niya.  I tried to book her for my sisters bday but sadly, shes fully booked ndaw. ^ booked na daw ang shuttercount on july21. sa website nila ako nagmessage tas wala ako nareceive na response then i found out meron din sila facebook account so nagmessage ako dun nun sunday. within that day naman nagreply sila sa facebook. thanks guys. primera litratista nalang nakuha ko. thanks ulit

3k pala tinaas ng zoombox, 15k kuha ko sa kanila last May, i was trying to book them dor my eldest son na,am mext yr kaso magtataas nga daw sila di ko nakausap ulit si justine. I am waiting for the final output 120 days max nga daw, so far, ok naman sila, 4 days lang inantay ko for the mtv teaser and super bait nila and professional, sobrang aga nila dumating, nakakatuwa pa is, they work well with the rest of my suppliers like warren camitan and alex lagula, parang family na sila hehe nakakatuwa ganun.

@kareni -- sorry sis now lang reply ko about your post. 4 weeks or 1 month is the period stipulated in our contract. RE terms of payment, half as DP then the rest will be on the day of the event.
