chixxx23 - as of now, wala pa talagang way to unlock an iPhone via software. if you want and have the extra money, look for a gevey sim. mga around 1-1.5k ang price nun.

aww talaga sis? actually, mine's unlocked when I purchased it. Buti nalang pala hindi ako kumuha sa globe postpaid. I went to podworx at SM fairview, they have iphone 4s but I have to choose daw between 2 network, globe and smart. I told them gagamitin ko sa sun, lol. kaya I purchased the unlocked version from other stores. store warranty lang. not from apple mismo. ayos lang

dami sa ebay na factory unlocked na iphone 4s. mga brand new naman lahat yun diba?

_AiaH_ - most of those 4S being sold by reputable and power sellers, yes pero yung iba kasi sa eBay and ibang sites deceiving ang ad nila re: factory unlocked

some will go to the length of saying it it unlocked/openline only to find out may Gevey sim included.

all Apple authorized resellers locally only sell Globe/Smart-locked phones kasi yun lang ang may support from Apple mismo.

If you can wait, wait for the iPhone 5 na. Ako kasi matagal na talaga yung phone ko, 4 years ago at iPhone 3G pa yun tapos sakto birthday ko kaya ayun haha

haha, kase naman kelan ba lalabas yan!!! may dead pixels na phone ko (as in literally dying LOL), mine's a bb9700 pa, kelan pa ba lumabas yun, more than 2 years ago na rin ata.

^^^Baka this September or October. Kung kaya pa tiisin, tiis muna haha Pag lumabas din kasi yung iPhone 5, babagsak price ng iPhone 4s so win-win. Kung di mo nagustuhan yung iPhone 5, mura mo nalang mabibili yung iPhone 4s. Kung nagustuhan mo, same price you would pay if you buy iPhone 4s today.

annmarco - it will be THAT expensive during the first three months. wait for the telcos to offer and saturate the market with iPhone 5 and you're sure to get a good deal.

I have no idea sis if you have to buy a new gevey but what I am sure of is that since you're dependent to gevey sim, you MUST preserve your baseband so it'll remain 4.10.

I suggest sis na mag-youtube ka how to preserve an iPhone's baseband when you update to 5.1.1. mas ok kasi yung ganong tutorial.

where na store yung mga messages natin? kase may lcd just went crazy and has to be replaced, i was thinking na iconvert muna sa regular sim yung micro sim ko para magamit ko muna habang di pa ako nakakaluwas.
