Filipino Restaurant Recommendation

Hi all.

Balikbayan relatives coming this week, I'm panicking for fine dining restaurants serving the best Filipino food. Ayaw nila ng Dampa, Aristocrat, Yakimix & Vikings.

Any recos within Makati - Manila area will be greatly appreciated.

@tamarind: our personal picks for my suggestions
~ Sentro- sinigang na corned beef, Garlicky adobo, coffee pie, sago't gulaman
~ Kanin Club- Sinigang na Tadyang na Baka, Seafood Salpicao, crispy dinuguan (although I haven't personally tired it coz i don't eat dinuguan but my family likes it)

di naman yata required na fine dining.. gusto namin sa via mare (calcag rice, laswa, bibingka, palitaw, guinumis ang tumatak sa akin) tsaka mangan (daing na bangus, tawilis, lagat ampalaya, ginataang sigarilyas WAG oorder ng sinigang na baboy -> puro taba)

yung mga hanap ng relatives mo, karamihan yata tagaytay area may nagooffer na masarap.

CLASSIC CUISINE (C2)  - for their Crispy Kare kare (this is a combination of crispy pata and kare-kare)

Superb! talaga. (classic cuisine is from the cravings group)

Masarap din ba sa Recipe? How about Romulo's (this is in qc pero parang type nila dun kasi may privacy), sana masarap din yung food.

D ko rin type sa recipe. Mga resto ni florabel co if medyo fine dining. Oks din ang LJC group (abe, fely j, adriatico).

Dun sa pamana sa tagaytay or josephine's.


Kare-kare masarap sa kanin club pati sinigang na tadyang.


Yun mga namention ko masarap kare-kare crispy pata.


Via mare masarap rin pero mas ok if merienda sa via mare

Masarap sa Mangan sis. Try their kare-kare, gatang sitaw at kalabasa, tinapa rice, eggplant with burong hipon, and puto bumbong. Di ko gusto yung okoy and dinuguan, though.

yung bulalo na masarap na we've tried is Lipa Grill in Batangas! check this Top 10 Best Bulalo in Manila as featured in spot.ph.. this might help you.

i highly recommend crisostomo at resorts world manila. really yummy crispy pata, taba ng talangka rice, kangkong with lechon kawali chips and killer desserts!

there's a romulo cafe in makati. you may also try lorenzo's way, mesa, cafe juanita, bistro filipino by chef laudico, casa roces
