hello i am on my 33rd week na rin and is curious how much ang kelangan dalhin sa delivery room IF EVER magkaroon ng emergency? magkano normally ang downpayment pag semi private ang kukunin? tapos pwede ba check? or cash/credit card lang talaga.. thanks mga sis

^package ba kukunin mo? Kami kasi semi private na package ang kinuha. Sa delivery room, 80% muna ang papabayad sayo once maadmit ka. Pwede credit card.

i gave birth to my handsome baby boy in MMC last october 16 via elective CS. we stayed there for 4 days/3 nights in a small private room (3500/night). total bill is 150k+ which includes PFs (OB, anes, pedia) and hospital bills. Nabawas na din ang philhealth sa bill. 40k ang downpayment namin nung nagpa-admit kami.

about room and board, we stayed on the 5th floor (5Wing, rooms 541-563). according sa nurse na kakilala namin, mas malaki ito sa mga small private rooms on the 5Front (rooms 515-520) pero hindi ko naman nasilip yung mga nasa 5Front. though medyo luma yung room namin, ok na din kasi meron window. sana lang, renovated yung CR kasi walang bidet! haha. pwede iuwi yung pillows. haha. kasama naman ata ito talaga sa binayaran saka sabi ng nurse amin na daw e. wala lang din ref.. hehe (sa SLMC-QC kasi, sa ganitong price range, meron ng ref and mas malaki yung room na nakuha namin last year nung na-operahan ako). pero oks lang naman sa amin na walang ref.

i would also like to commend the nurses because they did an awesome job caring for me and my son. they are all willing to help, they converse with the patient na parang matagal ng kakilala and syempre yung skills nila is superb. hehe

of course the medical team present during delivery, wala akong masabi! Love na love ko ang OB ko na si Dra. Mae Syki-Young. i never felt any fear during delivery.. smooth sailing lang ang lahat. galing din ng anes na si Dr. Raphael Tuazon, parang kagat lang ng langgam yung pag turok ng spinal anes. hehe. bago ko pala makalimutan (di ko alam kung kelangan din ng binder sa NSD), they will ask you if you have a binder. if you don't have one, the hospital will provide. the binder will cost 2k+ (basta less than 3k+). so para maka-menos gastos, be ready with your own. pero, maganda naman yung binder na i-provide nila (Dale Abdominal Binder). sa amazon, less than 20$ ito. so kung may kakilala kayo sa US na uuwi, pauwi ninyo na lang. haha

so yung breakdown ng expenses, happy naman kami ni hubby kasi naka-discount kami sa PF dahil cash namin binayaran (before, ang quote kasi sa amin, 180K). yung PFs, umabot ng more or less 100k tapos 50k+ yung hospital bills. thankful din ako dahil may maternity coverage ang HMO namin. nakakuha din ako ng 13K sa HMO.

overall experience... super satisfied kami!

gave birth 3 months ago today.. super satisfied! spoiled brat lang ang peg dahil ako lang ang patient from labor room, delivery room at recovery room. at higit sa lahat, kasama si BF sa buong journey ko! i paid 115k+

Gave birth to a wonderful baby boy at MMC last Oct. 25, 2014 NSD forceps delivery. Induced ako. Sa MMC OPD ako kaya super mura talaga. Doon nagchcheck up yung hindi naman less fortunate, pero yung mga di kaya maggastos ng over a hundred thousand like me since nags-start palang ako mag work and same with hubby.

If you're under OPD here's the package:

Anyway panganganak lang yan ha. Pag kunwaring may misc like mga antibiotics ni baby if needed or ikaw if u need to take medications di na kasama yun sa package. This includes anes, labor room, ward (standard talagang dapat ward kaya ka nga nag opd). Doctors have no pf. Oh by the way, resident doctors ang mag papaanak sayo with doctor's supervision. Kasama na din dun sa package mga first immunizations ni baby and yung pedia nya but then I would suggest na wag na kayo mag opd pag sa pedia. Kasama din talaga sa package na painless, so lahat ng nasa opd nagpapacheck up painless pag nanganganak.

Naswertehan lang din ako kasi nung nanganak ako, naubusan ata ng pwesto sa mga or kaya napilitan silang paanakin ako sa birthing room. Okay naman, wag kayo matakot kung residents magpaanak. Mababait sila, saka magagaling sila. Saka supervised naman sila. Super mapalad pako kasi yung doctor na kakilala namin (actually yung pinsan nya na secretary nya yung kakilala namin) eh nagpunta pa ng MMC galing TMC para lang paanakin ako. Super blessing lang talaga sakin ni baby! Pero sa labor room ako nag aantay ha, di sa birthing room. Mejo natagalan lang kame no'n sa recovery room kasi super dami talaga nanganganak no'n tapos inaantay pa maayos yung ppwestuhan sa ward so yon. Anyway, pag under HSP/OPD ka rin pala, room in si baby. So kasama ko sya all throughout.

Sa ward naman, oks lang din. Kasi 3 kame pasyente. Ang kagandahan lang kasi is nung na room in na kame, nadischarge na nung gabe yung isang pasyente, tapos kinabukasan ng umaga na dc na rin yung isa. We stayed there for 3days so yung 1 1/2 day namin, solo namin, para kame nakaprivate room.

Suggestion lang naman 'to para dun sa mga tulad ko na di keri yung mahal. Hehe. Wag kayo matakot, they're really good. Nurses are so bait and accommodating also. Saka kung saan nanganganak ang mga nagbabayad ng mahal, dun din sa mismong DR nanganganak mga nasa opd, kahit pa discounted yung package. Malinis saka maganda yung buong dr. Pag may needs ka they'll get back at you right away. Anyway, yung check ups, dun din sa OPD ginagawa, residents din yung nagchcheck up. You'll just have to get the green card and have some interviews. On our case kasi may referral kame don sa kilala nga namin na ob. Saka kame dumiretso sa opd.

I am due on April 22,22015. Good thing nabasa ko re:MMC greencard. Ill be there on Monday to apply, sana pumasa  Schedule pala nila si Monday-Thursday lang. 8 onwards.
i guess the 30% disc on excess is back, the girl I talked to over the phone mentioned it to me.

Agahan mo lang pagpunta kasi madaming tao, and I mean, maaga, like 7am, kasi by number yan. For interview, wala naman yon, more assessment kung saan mo nalaman yung greencard nila and if you are employed or not, its over in like less than 10 mins (the interview) then bibigay nila requirements sayo, you habe to go back there again pag complete mo na requirements, then pay for the greencard, then yun na yon.

Ako kasi, my greencard can only be used for OB cases, nakaspecify yun sa greencard ko, kasi Im employed full time, may healthcard ako, di lang sakop yung Pregnancy and  childbirth. Kaya dun din ako sa MMC manganganak and nagpepre-natal.

Gave birth to my 2nd baby last May 2013 sa MMC, total bill was 70k iless pa Philhealth na I think maliit lang. I availed of the semi private package under Dra Cleo Medina. Very kind, good and caring doctor Ang labor room ko naman non, yung pang solo lang kahit semi private lang package ko, room was very neat/clean and new, may tv and very spacious rin. My bill went up a bit compared sa package coz i had an extra shot of epidural and my bp went up while naglalabor ako and even after i gave birth kaya medyo nagtagal pa ako sa recovery room.

Now am pregnant again with my 3rd baby and will be giving birth next year around Jun to Jul, same OB and hospital, I hope hindi ganun kalaki ang diff sa charges. With my first born in MMC last Jan 2006, semi private package, same OB, nasa 40k lang bill ko lahat na.

Hello, were planning to give birth sa MMC. Please pa share naman po on tips on how we can save, we wanted to get a package sana, is that okay? Also pa share naman what to do pag ayan na talaga, I'm so clueless.
My doctor is just an affiliate not from MMC but she will be one na mag papaanak sa akin. She's affiliated with other hospitals too like St. Clair, VRPMC, and Medical City but we wanted sana MMC.

Hello to those interested, I gae birth last December 12 at MMC OPD (green card) it was more than what I expected, hindi ka naman isolated sa normal patients, magkakatalo lang sa room, pero nasa sayo yun kung kaya mo pa magbayad ng upgraded room, nevertheless, ok naman yung ward. I was induced and I had a high pain tolerance, 8cm na nung humingi ako epidural, then I pushed for 20 mins, baby out. OBs and nurses are very supportive, isang relative lang ang allowed the entire time from labor to delivery to recovery room. It was a pleasant experience. My bill is 23k for me, 11k for baby minus philhealth, I cant exactly remember anymore. My stitch healed fast. PM nyo na lang ako to those who want to learn more about it.

Nasubmit ko na Lahat ng requirements ko kaninang hapon, and got approved at the same time.
I have a scheduled check up on March 20 Friday morning. Buti na Lang my available
OB that time, yung nagaayos kasi ng schedule ang sabe pag Friday daw my conference sila.
Tuwing morning Lang ata ang mga OBsa ops ng MMC

Question po, does MMC allow na may kasama ka during labor and birth pag green card holder or if package? My cousin had an experience kasi from another hospital, the moms in labor are all in one ward husbands are just outside they communicate through written notes lang. I'm scared kasi, I want my hubby to be with me at all times.
