yes that's the case. my OB was the one who told me na ang treatment ng nurses and residents dun ay depende daw sa room mo. so she really recommended the private room. when i gave birth last 2011, yung private room eh may own tv and washroom sa labor room nya. and i really dont recommend the semi private room. it's so small and rinig mo talaga ingay ng kabilang room

Yun ang kinatatakutan ko sa MMC maraming additional charges kaya tanungin ko na siguro si OB next week kung ano mga dapat dalhin ko sa bag para less expenses na rin. Hindi daw ako puwedeng mag avail ng package kasi nagkaroon ako ng hypertension this week hindi na daw ako qualified.

^Sis sheeva, my OB is Dra. Syki-Young. Hindi ko pa naitatanong about yung list. Puwede ko bang matanong sis kung ano mga pinadadala sayo? Kasi na admit na yung mother ko diyan before ay grabe ang pag provide nila ng supplies tapos grabe yung bill namin sa huli. Magkano sis yung quote ng OB mo sayo for NSD and CS? Thanks

Sis goddess_diana3584, yes and yung small private is package. pag large private ka na hindi na sya package (ang package kasi kelangan mo i-room in si baby) na hindi rin recommended ng Ob ko.

I gave birth last oct 17 at MMC and this is my 2nd time. but this time under ako ng HSP which is package na 20t.then resident doctor ang nag gawa sa akin di na yung private na OB ko. yun lang ang difference pero sa asikaso at alaga naman sobrang okay. parang private patient ka rin. ang ganda pa ng labor room na nalagay sa akin. i guess dahil madami nanganganak that time at yun lang ang bakante na room.may couch pa at madaming doctor na puro babae nag asikaso sa akin. sa room ward pero 2 lang kami sa room tapos nag check out sila kaya halos solo na namin kwarto which is 1500/day.

^^Sis eikalaminero, thanks for the info. Malapit ka na manganak. Balitaan mo kami sis. Iba-iba rin talaga ang quote ng mga OB. Sa akin naman 100k for NSD and 135k for CS including PF. Pero magready ng buffer kasi usually hindi naman totoo ang mga quotation na yan kasi ang dami nilang add-ons. Yan ang kinatatakutan namin.

Hi sis Reeya. My husband and I tried to apply and dala na namin lahat ng requirements. Kaso pagkatapos ng napakatagal na pila from 9am to around 3-4pm at nainterview si hubby in the end hindi kami nabigyan ng green card. Ayaw maniwala na wala kaming trabaho. Tapos sabi hay hubby na sige bibigyan siya ng green card pero intern daw gagawa sa akin at hindi na ang ob ko kaya hindi na lang namin tinuloy. Grabe naman ng MMC ayaw mamigay ng benefits.

sis yung sa akin humingi ako ng referral sa OB ko. sabi ko gusto ko mag enrol sa HSP. tapos binigyan nya kami ng referral letter. nung nasa HSP na ako. wala na sila masyado tinanong. yung sa akin sa ob lang sya kasi may HMO naman ako kaya by end of nov wala na expired na card ko. oo mga resident doctor ang gagawa and naging comsultant na lang yung ob ko pero wala naman difference kasi ok din naman yung ob na gumawa sa akin. experienced na din sya at sa labor room pa ako nanganak na maganda at bago yung mga gamit. hingi ka ng referral sa ob mo if yung ob mo is taga makati med din like yung sa akin. pag pumila ka at wala referral matagal talaga. yung ob ko kasi kilala sya na OB at may position ata sya kaya binigyan agad ako ng card.

thats good sis Reeya, may i know what are the requirements needed to apply for the green card? anong mga dinala mong requirements? and paano po kaya if i don't have a referrel from my OB? my ob kasi is not from MMC.  Thanks a lot..

Hi mga sis I gave birth to a baby girl last November 5 via Caesarian section at Makati Medical Center (MMC).

Here's my birth experience:

With the help of my OB and her medical team, I delivered a tiny but very healthy baby girl. She is only 2090 grams and 17 inches in length but she passed all the tests and she was roomed-in with us after a few hours.

With regards to my delivery, I was was very nervous at first because it was my first operation. Dasal na lang ako nang dasal noong binibigyan ako ng anesthesia. However, I was amazed how quick the procedure was and my husband was there to give me support and took a video of the whole procedure from the time they took the baby out until my baby was latched to me. Ang bilis lahat ng pangyayari from the operating room to the recovery and eventually to our room. I was able to walk the next day and we were discharged after 3 days.

About the hospital naman and the medical team, I highly recommend my OB and Pedia dahil ang galing nila kaso medyo may kamahalan ang professional fees. The other staff were also very good lagi nila kaming chinecheck and they had lactation consultants na nagrorounds to educate us about breastfeeding. Lahat magaling from the doctors to the nurses and anxillary staff. Yung room din namin na semi-private lang was upgraded to a private room with no additional charge. We also had a lot of freebies from the hospital. Our experience in MMC was very good ang mahal lang talaga ng bill namin yun lang ang reklamo ko hehe.

Overall, the whole pregnancy and delivery was definitely an amazing experience. It is indeed a miracle to give birth to something very very precious. To God be the glory!

I gave birth to my first born last 2009 in Makati Med via NSD: Inabot ako ng 90k and small private room. Very attentive yung mga nurses and resident OBs. They even coached me kung paano magpush and yung mga  what to expect before they wheel me out sa delivery room.

The reason why we chose Makati Med that time was number one: proximity. Super lapit lang ng place namin that time sa Makati Med and it was near my office as well. Second: I am comfortable with my OB miski lalake siya. Mabusisi and very patient. He answers all of my questions miski

I just learned that I am pregnant again (second child) and I am having second thoughts whether sa Makati Med ulit or kung magscout na lang somewhere near our place which is in Cainta.

Last time kasi inavail namin yung lab test package na 13K then sinabihan kami nung mga friends namin na mahal daw yun dapat sa iba na lang daw namin pinagawa yung lab tests. Kaya right now nagreresearch kami ng medyo affordable delivery package. Thanks!

yes sis mahal nga yung 13k na package nila. kasi ako sa healthway ako nagpapacheck up, then my OB said na sa labas na alng ako magpalab test kasi mahal din sa loob ng healthway.. pero ngayon or maybe next year lipat na ko ng MMC para magpa chek up kasi na approved green card application ko sa MMC.
