I've always been a strict believer in living under your means. I won't spend for the following:

- designer items (like our sisses mentioned, nasa nagdadala yan)
- credit card (I refuse to do so maski ang daming offer sa office)
- expensive phones (what's important is I can send texts, make calls and browse from time to time)

PHONE - I started to buy an iphone last year so ngayon tumigil na ko kakabili ng fone since lahat naman na ng needs ko keri na nya 

BRANDED BAGS,SHOES,CLOTHES - Hanggang Bayo, kamiseta, F&H, Nine West, Charles and Keith lang ako.. yung high end, never mind! matibay naman eh...

COFFEE - I super love coffee (4x a day) haha pero masaya na ako sa strong na nescafe 3in1.. nag sstarbucks ako once a week or 2x a month :p

CAB FARES - comfortable naman sa FX/Jeep, taxi pag need lang..

MAKEUPS - hhmm blush on and face powder lang ako.. minsan eyeshadow pag may occasions but I never bought cosmetics more than 1000! daahh..

Does this mean having an illegal cable connection? Ay, that is bad. Smooching off from honest subscribers who diligently pay their cable bills is like robbing them. If you can't afford it, might as well live without it. Same lang din sa nag-jumper sa kuryente na walang-habas maka-aircon 24/7.

- designer brands (clothes). if i'm to buy designer stuffs, bag / shoes na lang but on clothes? no. tingin ko impractical, you can wear it few times lang unlike bags and shoes, or accessories.

- nail polish - keri na ako sa mga tig-50php na nail polish lol. wth, they won't even know you're wearing a chanel nail polish etc.

1. Designer items. Hindi ko maatim na gagastos ako ng malaki para lang magmukhang sosyal. May mga quality products naman na hindi sobrang mamahalin.
2. Starbucks. May free coffee sa office namin. Same lang naman ang effect ng coffee mamahalin man o hindi.
3. Taxi. Kung hindi ko din lang naman marereimburse, magm-mrt nalang ako lalo na kung sa office lang naman ako pupunta. Kayang kaya commutin.

I think I won't ever spend money on these things:

- GoldVish, Vertu, Hasselblad, anything that is considered as a luxury item, even for those who belong to the high middle class people.
- Shanzhai products such as China phones despite their incredible price. As a power user myself, I believe it might explode when I use it. ((:
- iPhone cases that cost around 1000 pesos, or maybe iPhone cases that have the cheapest price of at least 900+ php.

1. newly-released gadgets - hinihintay ko muna magtagal para mag-mura. although super bihira naman ako bumili ng gadgets.

2. starbucks - am just not really into coffee. ok na saken instant coffee na lagyan ko ng milk or yung 3-in-1.

3. jewelry - hindi ko rin hilig kahit mura ng gold dito sa Saudi, daming murang elegant accessories.

4. DVDs - pwede naman mag-DL ng free.

5. am not sure if considered as thing sya, pero yung financial help (luho) sa mga taong mas maluho pa sayo? heller!

1. gadgets - bilis kasi malaos, tapos need to buy na agad the next one to keep up
have never bought a celphone for myself

2.  signature bags/shoes/clothes - unless super ganda na di ako magsasawa at alam kong magagamit ko sya for 10 years or so.

3. luho ng mga kamag-anak/friends na nanghihingi at mas magarbo pa ang mga gadgets/travels kesa sakin tapos lagi wala daw money.

4. kids shoes, clothes and toys - hindi naman sa hindi ko sila binibili. pero clothes siguro bibili ako pag kailangan pero bihira. kasi lumalaki pa sila tapos 5 days a week naka uniform.
as for the toys, dami naman nagreregalo.  so I just buy under certain conditions - kung christmas o birthday, at kung gusto talaga nila at approve ko, and most of all, alam kong gagamitin nila for a long time, hindi yung isang laro lang, sawa na.

5. I also minimize buying drinks when I am outside, kaya ideally, dapat lagi may baon akong mineral water bottle with me

6. everyday lunch out sa office - once in a while yes, but not everyday. maybe I eat out once every 2 weeks. most of the time I bring my own lunch. I find the food outside expensive, nakakataba, not healthy too. Pag laging lunch out, gumagastos ka na, magkakabilbil pa. kaya never mind.

7. expensive/signature shampoos. Happy nako sa sunsilk and pantene.  I splurge on hair mask and conditioners kasi mahaba at buhaghag hair ko. Pero for shampoo, may quality shampoo na naman na available sa grocery so why splurge on them.

for now, i refuse to spend money on these:

gadgets. i already have every gadget i need, i don't need the latest ones.
I don't mind if my HP laptop (which i'm using right now) is already 6 yrs.old because it is still serving me well.

car. good thing i don't know how to drive. Owning one entails a lot of costs: parking, maintenance, and gas. Though I might consider this in the future should the need arise.

make-up. hindi kasi ako mahilig 

bags, shoes and clothes na imitation. better buy local original ones rather than those.
