eversince hindi talaga ko mahilig mag buy ng jewelries, branded shoes, eating on expensive restos..hindi din ako mahilig mag travel out of town/the country. and yung malling naman, siguro mga once a month lang. mas gusto ko pa kasi mag stay sa house and manood ng t.v.

pero december 2011, nag buy ako ng medyo expensive watch. i've been using my casio watch (worth 6k) for several years na and yung best friend ko keeps on insisting na buy naman daw ako ng hi-end na watch.

gadgets - dito ako nasisira and todo control from buying. medyo successful naman dahil 2010 ko pa plano palitan yung nokia E90 pero i'm still using it. but i guess within the month, i'll say goodbye to my nokia. can't resist the itch to upgrade.. isipin ko na lang, reward ko na lang sa sarili ko...hehe!

And super expensive baby clothes, yung pang araw araw na damit and pantulog, pwede pa..pero yung mga pangalis, i try not to buy kasi minsan lang umaalis si baby and mabilis talagang lumaki..

Starbucks coffee. The only reason I go to "designer" coffeeshops is to avail of fast internet. Eh ang starbucks pagbabayarin ka pa diba? so wag nalang. Lol!

-Cable, we dont have it. lagi di naman kasi walang tao sa house kaya sayang lang
-postpaid plans, matipid ako sa load prepaid will do

-super expensive resto
-super branded clothes and shoes
-massage! I know a lot of sissies love it pero ako never ko nagustuhan to pwede pa mga facials, sauna, foot spa

3. cable - problema lang dala nito samin.. fiesta maids sa tv.. napapabayaan work minsan saka taas pa ng electric bill so we cut it na.

I can't imagine not paying for cable. Haha. And I tried not spending on expensive restos pero hindi namin kinaya ni bf. Hehe. Bisyo talaga namin yun.

There are very few things I wouldn't spend on.
But maybe here are some:

1. GYM MEMBERSHIP - I hate HATE my experience with Fitness First.  So never again, hindi rin naman sya sulit for me.

2. Investment type of jewelry - as Suze Orman said, jewelry is a bad investment, kahit pang mana mo pa sya.

3. Hotels - I wouldn't spend on high-end hotels in Manila. But since I like to travel, and I am not a hostel type of person, I will spend on hotels OUT of manila.

4.  Magazine subscriptions

5. Original DVDs - Sorry OMB!!!    :-[

6.  Paid valet parking service

7.  Lagay to kotong cops - di bale nalang na mahassle

8. Hats - hehe, I don't wear hats or caps

9. fake anything (except the dvds hehe)  - if I can't afford an LV, eh di I can't afford an LV.

10.  perfumes sold in malls- they're soo much more expensive! You can buy authentic ones online naman

Other than those, I think I'll spend on anything kung gustong gusto ko talaga. It helps I don't have a family yet, so I can spend on myself. Hehe.  Buti yan, so I won't end up resenting having to spend for my child if or when she does come  hehe. Sorry anak.

I hate to waste my hard-earned money on the ff:

1. branded clothes - andito ako sa saudi so it doesn't matter what i wear inside my abaya.. i just splurge
at times when mango is on sale..but not more than 2k pesos pa yun.
2. gadgets - i spent my first salary buying my sony vaio laptop, 3 1/2 years in use to date and I've got
no plans on buying another..i don't by latest phones either kasi ang bilis mag-upgrade so as
long as my phone's workin, im quite ok with it.
carry na..i'm more into home-cooked meals.
4. expensive make -ups - however, im rewarding myself this 2012 of buying one chanel brand make-up

I will not spend my money on:
- ridiculously priced bags like LV, Gucci etc. Ok na ko sa Michael Kors, Charles and Keith, and Nine West.
- gadgets that i wont be able to use and maximize like Ipad or Iphone.
- original DVDs
- brand new car that I have to pay for every month. kung bahay yan, ok lang. otherwise, i'm happy with my car.

I'm MORE than willing to spend my money on:
- expensive restaurants as long as I love the food. i dont like fastfood, nagsawa na ko jan when I was still studying.
- good hotels while on travel. others say na it's not important where they stay while travelling kase hinde naman hotel ang ipinunta nila don but for me, the hotel and the service is part of my overall travel agenda and obejctive which is to unwind and relax.
- branded stuff for my baby girl
- branded make up and skin care

1. Cable, expensive TVs and other gadgets- I'm already having a hard time, trying to fit my network shows into my schedule. I will go mad if I have to include cable shows. Nakakabuwang. As for TVs, our sets still work. Considering they're from the 60's-80's (yes, yung nasa loob pa ng kahoy na box yung TV namin-Mad Men lang ang peg), they actually work better than the ones we acquired in the 90's. If it still works, why bother changing? As for other gadgets, I'm talking about tablets, consoles and replacing my cellphone. The last one, I only change if I can get it free with my existing plan. Otherwise, forget it.

2. Makeup- I wonder how many more permutations of the red lipstick makeup companies can come up with. But I'm not willing to pay the price of finding out. End of the day, gunk is gunk.

3. Cosmetic surgery and weird procedures like Botox- I like my boobs the way they are, thankyouverymuch. And when I'm fifty, I want to look fifty.

4. Ridiculously-priced bags, shoes and clothes. I like a little luxury once in a while. But if your bag can feed an entire country, it's a lot like having blood in your hands. Exag, you might say but hello, it's not like you're Gandhi, the Pope and Mother Teresa combined that you have to reward yourself that way.

5. Events/parties, even a wedding- I love love. I love celebrating love. I love reaching milestones. But I'd rather have a simple, intimate wedding, knowing that I'd have enough moolah to spend on the more important things like a house, our kids' education, etc. than blow all that money on a one-day event.

6. Travel to places I don't find interesting. I wish I can say that I travel for travel's sake but I really don't. I have a list of places I want to visit and with my limited vacation days and money, I can't really have a sporadic approach to travel.

7. A car. I'd be okay, someday when I really have to, with just a regular car. The most reliable I can get at a low price point. But until I can still survive taking public transportation and walking, I'm going car-free. Also, I'm too scared of driving.

:)

P.S.

Agree with perfumes. ;D

I can relate to sis mooncakes and leaves post below, except for traveling.  This year I will go to three different places pero within country lang kasi naka cebu pac piso fare. :D pero siyempre yung accomodations pa dun, etc.

another thing is buying an android phone, I am itchy to buy one pero still in control I am just waiting for the right time and for now I can treat myself into not so pricey materials to get satisfied. :)

I refuse to spend my money on

* luxury bags - same din naman yung function niya.  I would rather buy a bag less than 5k would be enough.  Super mahal na para sa kin yun.  Though maganda tingnan mga designer bags but I would rather think of something worthy to spend on.

* excessive jewelries - 1 to 3 pieces kof quality jewelries would be enough.  I have an earring jwhich I bought for only 499?? 50% off siya but still good until now.

* expensive make-up - mahal na sa kin yung make-up that ranges above P500.  there are alternatives naman na reasonable but quality.

* hair treatment - hangang hair spa lang and hair color pa lang ako sa salon and I rarely go to them pa.

* excessive perfumes - 1 or 2 would be enough.  pero for now, 1 perfume lang ako, the rest body spray

things that are worthy for me to spend naman are:

* shoes - i know na mas may price yung mga shoes na comfy sa paa..

* celfon - I just bought one na quality for me

* travel - i will not deprive my family on this because this is the time we can enjoy together and it only happened once or twice a year

* education - there are good schools naman na not really expensive but quality naman.  Unlike other private schools na kahit private sila may kulang pa rin.

* food / restos - worthy naman ang money as long as ok yung food and service.  Well, I am trying to cook my fave foods at restos at home.  Good achievement for me is to provide food for my family.

* good entertainment set at home - it's nice to see my husband and kid are enjoying watching at home with a nice entertainment set.  it makes them complete.

* massage - hindi pwedeng mawala 'to.

Guilty ako dito... taxi fare.. I know I used to be magastos pero it saves my energy and time unlike riding a bus na ang dami nang holdupan ngayon.  It can only make a travel time of 30 to 45 mins going home na energetic pa ako unlike riding a bus that will take more than an hour and hilong-hilo pa ako. =)

- hair treatments (ie rebond, relax, etc) kasi feeling ko when i start, kailang regular na. Ok naman hair ko. Haircut ko every 6 months lang
- other stuff for vanity like mga laser, ipf, threading, waxing, etc unless may ridiculously cheap vouchers/deals. Hehe.
- make-up kasi di naman ako marunong. Powder and gloss/lip shimmer/lipstick lang ok nako.
- designer clothing
- HD cable tv
- avoidable expenses (like pag nabangga so i choose to be more careful when driving, or masiraan ng car so regular PM dapat, etc)
- full price airtickets for my parents (who shuttle back and forth manila/cagayan) kasi lagi naman may cebupac sale.
- something that i can buy somewhere else for a fraction of the cost (ie gap sa manila samantalang pag sale sa gap.com super mura)

additional to my previous post,  i refuse to spend on

- fake bags or clothes.  I'd rather buy p600 unknown brand, than spend 1-2k fake bag.
- full price airline tickets.  ill just wait for the seat sale.   ;D
