Things you refuse to spend money on

As a consumer, what for you are huge waste of money and therefore refuse to spend on? Sakin eto:

- concert tickets
- divi clothes/bags/shoes, bilis masira

cable tv - pero gustong-gusto ko magkameron nito. sarap lang pag madaming channel sa bahay. di nga lang namin masusulit kasi super aga kami umalis ng bahay tapos super late din ang uwi.

i am not ok to spend money on super mahal na mga recipes/ingredients at home. and sa high end or mahal na sakin na dining kasi hindi naman matalas panlasa ko at para sa akin, masarap naman ok na.

dati hindi din ako sis willing magspeng ng pera sa cable. pero parang kakailanganin ko na din soon.

I refuse to spend money on
- branded clothes, bags, and shoes

- Shangrila Hotels overnight stays
- and Hotel buffets.

- Gadgets that are ridiculously priced. Naku, as long as maayos na gumagana ang phone at laptop ko, di ako nagpapalit.

- High end clothes and bags. Im a stay-at-home-wife/soon to be mom. So di ko talaga need ang mga yun.

- Traveling. We cancelled local and international trips. Manganganak na ako and later on magpapabinyag. So priority namin si bebe boy.

- Hotel accommodations and expensive restos. Tulad din ng reason ko dun sa trips, si baby muna.

-expensive restaurants / cafes-- i don't get the point. well, for some they love checking in to places and posting pictures on facebook. i get that point: ostentation. but i don't buy it.
-travel -- this is often a cause of my gf's disappointment. maybe someday, pag nakabuo na ako ng sizable nest egg, i wouldn't hesitate to travel anywhere.
-birthday celebration -- it happens every year so i think it's pretty ordinary. if i don't celebrate this year, it can wait another year (if I take good care of myself)
-cable subscription and tv -- news lang ang pinapanood ko sa tv at meron naman nun sa internet.

-Taxi fare.
-Eating out. No more expensive restos.
-Paying for movie screenings. Every movie is available on the web anyways.
-Upgraded cable tv subscription. Cable tv is a must for me but I don't pay for extra channels.
-High end items. I'm willing to pay extra for functionality and durability but I shy away from overpriced items.
-out of town or overseas trips.I like travelling but I don't like to pay for it.Hence, I only welcome expense paid (paid by my employer or sponsored by a relative) trips.In the future however, I will consciously make an effort to pay for foreign travels to expose my child to different cultures and wonders of the world.I will make sure that my child will understand the importance of saving up for a planned travel, I don't want to create an impression that his parents could easily afford it, hence, he might feel entitled to it.
-superfluous items.Before, I was a compulsive shopper so I gravitated on items which I didn't really need (enticed by discounts or the convenience that the product attempts to convey).

I will spend money on just about anything except if I feel like it's overpriced or I'm not getting value for my money.

One time I went looking for a raincoat at an ukay-ukay. I found one, unbranded, old and used of course but still functional. Siningil ba naman ako ng P300 for it. Eh makakabili na ako ng brand new sa presyo na yon. It's just P300 but I refused to pay it, ukay lang naman yun noh.

Another time I paid P80 for what I thought was okay food at an SM foodcourt. It turned out to be one of the worst meals I had ever eaten in my life. I felt I was cheated of my P80.

And many, many times, I refuse to pay for taxi in Manila. They overcharge you, most are already bulok and they don't return change!!!

super cheap clothes - some kase make use of materials na madaling magstretch so hindi mo na maulit ang damit.
trendy clothes and shoes - i prefer classic pieces that you can wear over and over again
local hotel accommodations - i'll just stay at home. whatever amenities the hotel has (except pool), meron naman kami

-latest gadgets- ok na ako sa any brand ng cp basta pwede pa maka-call and text, or basta gumagana pa laptop (i'd rather buy jewelries kesa gadgets )
-super expensive bags- hanggang coach, nine west or lacoste lang keri kong bilhin ng walang guilt, tutal sahm lang naman ako and most of the time diaper bag bitbit ko
-expensive make-up- lipstick and powder lang kasi lang usual gamit ko and bihira naman ako lumabas ng bahay, sayang lang pag di magamit
-coffee- sasakit lang tyan ko dito

but im guilty of spending money on fancy restos coz my husband and i really love food and most of the time we go to hotel restos

I know off-topic but indulge me. These are the things naman that I'm willing to spend on (after mapag-iipunan talaga):
-Once a month dinner date with my boyfriend sa isang high-end restaurant or hotel buffet
-Once every 3 months na pagbili ng mga original DVDs of my favorite movies, usually pag naka-sale na sila (P99-P199/DVD pero at most 3-4 DVDs lang binibili ko (for my collection)
-Once a year out-of-town trip (usually Boracay)
-Once every 2 years na international travel
