Few days ago, we stayed at Raymen Resort. It was ok. No violent reactions. Just a bit crowded compared to Alobijod Cove just right next to it. The aircon is working very well and there was no TV in our room, which was perfect to drive you out and explore.

Island hopping was fun. Visit Lamurawan Island for a good view of the other islands. Also, visit the SEAFDEC research station and meet Mike and Pedro, the 100+ kg Lapu-lapu.

If you are looking for pasalubong, you can visit McNester in Buenavista. It is a little far from Alubihod beaches but it is very near the Buenavista Port. If you've tried the mango spaghetti and mango pizza of Pittstop, they get their mango sauce from McNester. And you can talk to the owner, Rebecca Tubongbanua. And for those who are on diet, their dried mangos are Low Sugar.

Hi mga sis, we plan to go on an Iloilo-Guimaras trip in July. Okay lang kaya yung month na yun or is to too rainy to go island hopping?

Also, can anyone suggest an itinerary for a 4D/3N trip? Want to include North Gigantes sana.

^We decided to extend it to 5 days na lang sis. I think pwede na Gigantes dun since meron naman ako nakita na itinerary that did the same. Tanong ko lang @bleudskymd and other sisses, how much ang probable gastos for 5D/4N? Excluding airfare.

^gigantes is so breathtaking and really worth the long hour trip. it's part of iloilo province but it's nearer capiz (roxas city) so it would be more sulit and convenient if you go thru roxas city. its the nearest jump off point to estancia then carles/gigantes. after gigantes, you could travel down south to iloilo then guimaras.

Hi, do any of you have an idea if magkalapit lang ba yun ports ng mga fastcraft galing bacolod and papuntang guimaras (ortiz wharf)? I checked google maps parang magkalapit lang pero I wanted to be sure.

I am planning kasi a day trip to guimaras from bacolod. parang kaya naman kasi less than 2 hours lang travel time per way

^yes around 15-20 minutes travel to and from each wharf.

just came back from a weekend in iloilo-guimaras. spent one full day lang in guimaras and went to raymen resort. the beach is absolutely splendid! powder white sand blue-green ocean water    food trip talaga sa iloilo!. seafoods are the best! very fresh!  loved their local vinegar as well called sinamak. bought lots of pasalubong like butterscoth, biscocho, barquillos and mangoes from guimaras. also tried their mango pizza in pitstop restaurant at guimaras. was reluctant to try it at first but it was so so good, the melted cheese and mango combo was a winner next time would love to stay longer in guimaras island, there is so much more to explore! also highly recommend breakthrough and tatoy's restaurant and dumangas seafood restos

Hi sissies, hope someone can help us. We will be attending a 2-day seminar sa San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras. Yung workshop e sa office ng Bureau of Plant Industry - National Mango Research & Devt Center. Ang siste, kami bahala sa food & lodging namin. Sila lang bahala sa lecture.
Saan kami pwede mag stay na resort, yung within the area sana, mga 5 mins. ang layo? Yung alubihod cove and nearby resorts, malapit lang kaya sya?

Our flight will be on Apr. 6 nasa Iloilo airport kami ng 4pm. Ang alis namin Apr. 9 8pm. Ano kaya magandang itinerary? Seminar is 7-8. We want to try the mango pizza din sana. And magkano na yung updated fee sa pagsakay ng ferry going to Jordan? TIA!!

^parang may guesthouse yata ang Trappist monastery sa Jordan and then there's JM backpacker's hotel (actually parang pension house lang to) also in Jordan. try researching online thru Google sis.

^stay either at diversion 21 hotel or at Smallville 21 hotel. safe and cozy and the staff is really hospitable and kind. these 2 hotels are my home away from home when I go to iloilo. and these 2 are near sm city.

Thanks sis! Nakapag research na ko, unfortunately lahat ng nakita ko puro mga inn. Pero parang pinakamaganda yung Zemkamps Chalet sa kanila.

^ok na to sis based sa reviews sa trip advisor. and knowing mga local folks dun, they're so hospitable and easy to get along with. miss ko na ang guimaras lalo na it's now summertime and meron silang mango festival. can't remember lang what summer month they're celebrating this.

^^ Oo nga sis sayang super nice sana kung umabot sa mango festival kasi, we are after the mangoes afterall.. We will go there for a seminar. Gusto ko makita pa yung iba't ibang products they create with mango. If lalabas kami for lunch and dinner, magkano kaya sis yung transpo one way kung dalawa kami? And anong transpo ba pinaka convenient, trike ba?

^ tricycle lang sis if within central Jordan. there was a taxi service (fx) from the wharf to Jordan town. but I'm not sure if still existing ito. halos rural pa talaga ang guimaras. it's like occidental Mindoro. can't remember how much is the trike fare pero patulong ka na lang din sa staff ng hotel sis.

^ Ah oo nga, I'll ask the staff nalang. Hehe. I've read reviews na yung hotel nagsusundo/nag-aarrange ng transpo for the guest coming from the wharf, I'll ask them pag magpapa-reserve na kami. Thanks sis!
